Zao Asian Cafe
The food is great and they have a variety of import drinks as well as very light teas and soft drinks, the service is fast as they have a Chipotle style assembly line for your food and the staff are very polite and listen very well. The food doesn't leave you feeling sluggish and there's enough to where it doesn't leave you feeling like you can eat more either. After eating here you are perfectly content with your meal and can go for a walk around the area for a few hours before you're even hungry again.
Chicken is so bland!! Flavorless really. The only thing that’s tasty is the rice and the pickled onions. The flavored punches are not too sweet, which is nice. I do appreciate the gluten free options as well.
BEIJING 川味居
This is a really upscale smaller authentic Chinese restaurant. We enjoyed all the dishes but were a little disappointed we had to pay extra for rice, and that the $18 beef dish was mostly onions. Besides that, happy with service who continually refilled our water and everything was fast. The inside feels very modern Chinese and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the restrooms and restaurant. I recommend the fried buns with pork, but I wish they served it with something besides raw onions, perhaps some freshly spiraled cucumbers? Or maybe make it an option to have grilled onions with it. The chow fun was a very generous and a delicious size with plenty of meat, which the Mongolian beef wasn’t, it should have been called Mongolian onions with a sprinkle of beef pieces. The mapotofu is made with a numbing spice which we weren’t used to, it wasn’t overwhelming but I’d stay away if you don’t like numbing spices. The restaurant makes everyone feel very Chinese when the existing place settings don’t have forks. I’d suggest having bowls and spoons and forks for everyone, especially if they’re eating family style. The just plates was too American for me but the chopsticks was a redeeming factor. I’m leaving four stars because there wasn’t enough meat and we had to pay for rice.
General tacos chicken was great, tangy and sweet and crisp. The chicken with green beans was good. Wanted more spice to it. I was going to ask for something spicy to add to it. But they never came back to check on us after we received our food. The scallion pancake is delicious. Crisp and soft and savory with green onion. This was my favorite thing. Rice was $1 on the side. Dishes do not come with rice. Price is descent. Place was clean and nice. Service was nice but they didn't check on us very much. There were only 4 tables in the whole restaurant for lunch. But I want to go back and try more.
SOMI Vietnamese Bistro
Completely blew my socks off, one of my new favorite restaurants!!The food was amazing. We found this place because it smelled so good walking past it from the street, and it tasted just as good as it smelled! The staff were incredibly courteous, professional, and helpful. Our waitress (Trisha) was so amazing, she even helped to pack up our left overs. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was my favorite dish. It had candied walnuts, a perfect creamy & sweet sauce, and perfectly cooked shrimp. The Garlic Chicken was so flavorful. I love the water chestnut, it is one of my favorite ingredients and it paired amazing with the wood ear mushrooms. The General Tso’s Chicken was not spicy as expected, but amazing breading on the chicken and the peppers were very flavorful. The Grass Fed Wagyu Pho was good and wholesome ingredients. If you’re a pho-lover, this is for you. We also got some Thai Teas and they were spot on! Well-steeped tea base and a light milk/creamer, very refreshing. I adored my visit and will definitely be coming back.
Did you wake up this morning, begin your yoga routine, and right in the middle of your warrior one pose think to yourself, "gosh darn my day would be complete if I had some super delicioso Vietnamese for lunch"? Well, I sure did, and the garlic chicken did not disappoint. Sauce think and smooth. Flavor dancing across those taste buds. Water chestnuts properly cooked. Like seriously, this stopped me in my tracks as the mouth feel of the perfectly soft crunch complemented the juicy chicken. Whoa buddy, let me pause and catch my breath. Now that I've had a moment to compose myself, let's switch gears and talk about the portion size, perfect. No over compensating dollar for dollar value with size. No, sir. The exact amount of food to fill the lunch needs of my belly. Flavor reins supreme. And to satisfy all of my senses, twirling the straw in my Thai ice tea sent me to a moment of Zen. Watching the swirls of flavors mix is pure present moment joy. Now I sit depressed in my corporate cubicle wishing for another lunch time soon where I can stop by Somi.
Ekamai Thai
This place is like having dinner at a family members house. They were so attentive to every movement we made. The food was amazing. The staff was so kind. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone. It's small and quaint. I will absolutely be back.
I am Thai people and I would like to confirm that these taste really close to authentic Thai food. If you like spicy foods, you can request spicy level 5. Moreover, desserts are the modern Thai dessert that are deconstructed all ingredients to western style.
The Kathmandu
The food is delicious! We’ve been here at least 4 times and each time we’re treated to an amazing exotic journey of spices and meat. I love it here
Restaurant is nice, and good vegetarian food, but not the best for non-vegetarian. For veg: we loved the chili momos and tofu coconut curry! Our non-veg friends got the momos which were dry and lacked flavor.
Little Saigon
I too don’t understand the rating of this place haha. The pho is not that great, I should have just went to the place I usually go to but wanted to try this place out. The bahn mi wasn’t even great either…the bread wasn’t even crispy. But maybe I’m expecting too much from Utah since I’m used to the pho and bahn mi at Westminster, CA (Little Saigon). The place gets so crowded too and when it does, it is hard to find a place to sit. We only noticed that because we got there before it got busy and while waiting for our food, more and more people were coming and the line got long to the door that it blocked access to tables…it was like standing in a cafeteria line or something. 😆 I felt relieved that we got there and found a table before it got busy but wanted to hurry and get out of there since it was getting crowded.
This Vietnamese place is really good; everything that I tried from here was so delicious; the pho was ok. I really enjoyed when the pho has that taste of the broth. The place is small and sometimes it is difficult to find a table.
Panda Express
This location is clean and eating space is sufficient. It can get busy or crowded though on meal times. One time, I came in 730pm and I'm the only customer. The crew took my order but I got stuck at the cashier cause I think everyone's busy working in online order till someone from the kitchen reminded them to cash me out. I didn't mind it at first cause I wasn't too hungry but maybe they didn't have a Manager on duty since no one seems to manage the traffic. Right after I sat down, people started coming in and a line of at least 15 customers are on pile so I think crews were a bit slow. I know there were at least 4 crews behind the counter, so that's interesting.
They were very busy whe I came in for dinner. The staff was very friendly and were joking with each other and laughing. It gave it a good atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious. I have been to alot of panda express throughout the valley. This one and the one in Draper are the best. The ones in the nicer areas seem to have better food. Just from my experience.
Noodles and Company
I didn't like the chicken Parmesan pasta. The presentation of the dish came on a plate and it looked like it had been heated in the microwave. The pasta was dry on top. I had to ask for an extra plate so I could mix the pasta and get more flavor. There was little chicken and the tomato sauce was very acidic. I won't be back. I've tried other noodles but this one left something to be desired. I really didn't like it and I don't recommend it.
If I could give more stars for what this place did for me, I would. I ordered food from the website for delivery which used door dash. Doordash was a nightmare. The driver never showed up and had put it in that they handed it to me. 45 minutes later with doordash, I was so frustrated because they just kept transferring me and not giving me an answer on what to do. I finally called the store and the nicest girl (pretty sure her name was Ambrece) answered and turned my whole mood around. I felt horrible for her having to also deal with doordash and she was apologizing to me for doordashes mistake. They remade my food, refunded my money and gave me free food. Literally amazing. The food was amazing, the customer service was amazing. I can't say thank you enough. It's rare finding genuine good people/establishments sometimes so to both the girl who helped tonight and her manager, thank you so much. We will absolutely be coming back!
