Red 8 Asian Cuisine & Sushi Bar
You really get what you pay for. My sushi it’s mostly rice. Everyone seems nice and the ingredients are fresh but it’s definitely worth the extra dollar or two to go somewhere where you’ll actually get the protein. I got the salmon cream cheese roll and the eel cucumber.
Good eats, large portions and great deals. The Red 8 menu has a nice variety to choose from. Everything we have ordered has been fresh, tastes great and is fairly priced. I love the curry dishes and my husband loves the sushi. We tried the cashew chicken and the sweet and sour chicken today, and while not my favorite, pretty darn good. The rice needs a bit more juicyness and seasoning, it was a bit dry and bland but we ordered extra sauces and dressed it up. The spring roll didn't have much filling, but it was still crunchy fresh and tasty. Overall pleased with the generous portions of chicken in both dishes and the tasy sauces and fresh veggies. We will be back.
Tosh’s Ramen Holladay
I have gone to Tosh Ramen downtown for years, it’s nice to have one a little closer to Utah County. I love their Karai (spicy) ramen and my kids love their Blend, their broth is the best! The gyoza is well steamed and the portions are generous.
Tosh’s Ramen in Holladay deserves 5 stars for its warm hospitality and lively atmosphere! We were greeted promptly and seated, setting the tone for a great experience. Even though we waited briefly to be served, a staff member brought us water and reassured us that someone would assist us shortly. Our waitress, who was managing the entire restaurant, deserves major kudos for her friendly demeanor and positive attitude despite the rush. She even apologized for the wait, which we appreciated. The gyoza were a standout—an absolute 10/10! While the tonkotsu ramen and spicy ramen were good, they didn’t blow us away. Still, the speed at which our food arrived, considering how busy it was, was impressive. The lively vibe and the staff’s dedication to keeping everyone happy made it a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!
