Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant
HIDDEN GEM!!!! First of all, the service is phenomenal. Treated me like I was a regular and felt welcomed!!! Food was tasty and Hot!!! I recommend the coconut walnut shrimp family dinner and it comes with an egg roll and cream puff and soup. WILL BE BACK
First off, amazing service. The waiter was so friendly and recognized I wasn’t a regular so the fact she knows all her regulars really shows the respect and values they have here. Food was amazing and Texas sized portions. Will be bringing back my significant other next time I visit.
Chuan Cafe
Finding this place was a score for me! I enjoyed everything. I will agree with one reviewer who said that the hot and sour soup could be a little bit more sour, but I still liked it. I ordered Mongolian beef with fried rice, an egg roll, and the hot and sour soup. The egg roll reminded me of the eggrolls I grew up with, and it was great! The hot and sour soup was close, but the Mongolian beef was superb!
Highly recommended. Stopped in for a quick lunch as I am a big fan of Sichuan food. Sat down, ordered a hot tea, and spoke with the waitress. My favorite dish is "Mala Ji Ding". At this place, it is called "Spicy Chicken". They add a little Texas flair by adding sautéed jalapeños. It's a nice, spicy touch that adds a new note to an already beautiful flavor profile. I will be back.
Wok & Karahi - Halal Chinese IndoPak
The crispy beef was tantalizing and amazing perfectly crispy and crunchy outside yet soft beef. We got the sesame chicken as well which was amazing and flavorful and correctly cooked. Food tasted fresh and amazing service from waiter. One entree is good for 2 people. Have to order noodles and rice separately but that also is good for 2 people. The soup was a bit hearthy but didn’t skimp on quantity. We went with Hotter for the sesame if you are a fan of spice that is a good level but prefer less of a kick go below.
We were craving gyoza and decided to try a new spot - what a wonderful surprise! The food is authentic, made fresh to order, and absolutely delicious. We especially loved the lollipops, fried rice, and Mongolian beef. And dessert presentation was over the top! I hope W&K finds success and is an option for us for a long time to come!
Big City Kitchen
I went here twice this week. Beef with Chili oil is pretty authentic. I order Garlic eggplant and another Sichuan traditional cold dish. All of them are good. Sour and spicy soup is not spicy enough. If more pepper, it will taste better! I will revisit in my next business trip in Woodland.
Best Chinese food in the area. If you enjoyed Chuan that used to be here, then come here!! I was hesitant to order from here once I saw the old sign was gone but I said screw it & ordered again, but to my surprise it's the same old crew I'm so relieved and happy! Their soups are amazing, appetizers are great. Prices and portions are on point as well as authenticity to the mapo tofu. Service is great as well
Jing Xin's Asian Cafe
I just had the pleasure of trying a remarkable dish at a local restaurant that left me absolutely enchanted. The honey walnut shrimp with crispy rice noodles was a true culinary masterpiece, showcasing a perfect fusion of flavors and textures that made it an unforgettable experience First and foremost, let's talk about the star of the dish: the jumbo shrimp. The succulent shrimp were cooked to perfection, boasting a tender and juicy texture that simply melted in my mouth. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, perfectly complemented by the heavenly honey walnut glaze. The combination of the sweet honey and the rich nuttiness of the walnuts created a delightful contrast that elevated the entire dish to new heights. Accompanying the honey walnut shrimp were perfectly cooked broccoli florets that brought a refreshing and vibrant touch to the dish. The vibrant green color of the broccoli served as a visual treat, and its tender-crisp texture provided a pleasant contrast to the succulent shrimp and the crispy noodles. Moreover, the caramel walnuts sprinkled over the dish added an additional layer of sweetness and crunch, enhancing the overall complexity of flavors The service at the restaurant was exemplary, with attentive staff members who were knowledgeable about the menu and provided prompt and friendly service. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere that enhanced the overall dining experience. In conclusion, the honey walnut shrimp dish with crispy rice noodles, broccoli florets, and caramel walnuts was a true culinary masterpiece that left me in awe. From the perfectly cooked jumbo shrimp to the harmonious combination of flavors and textures, every element of this dish was executed flawlessly. If you have the opportunity to visit this restaurant, I highly recommend indulging in this sensational creation. It's an experience that will undoubtedly leave you craving for more.
Very nice people and very welcoming :) food was soooo goodddd! I was craving some veggies and they delivered. ❤️
Fu Manchung
This was my first time at this Thai restaurant, and I must say, I am truly impressed! Not only does it have a warm, homey feel, but the food was absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp pho and spring rolls, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Chloe, the owner, is such a sweetheart—she personally checks on guests to make sure they’re taken care of, which made the experience even more special. I genuinely felt at home here. If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s different from the usual, you have to come and support this restaurant. You won’t regret it!
Stopped in for just some Boba. Ended up staying and indulging in an amazing lunch. The host Chloe was so funny and made the experience so much more enjoyable. The service was fast and great. I usually have to drive far for Vietnamese food. Now I have a spot on my side of town. Highly recommend. Definitely order some Boba if your in the area.
RaKuu
Excellent restaurant, and priced very well. Marco was our server, and he was extremely friendly, fast, courteous, and had some awesome recommendations. The menu is outstanding, from sushi to soups to Chinese cuisine to Vietnamese dishes. There is something for anyone, even the pickiest of eaters. We have found a new gem in the area, and we will most definitely be back. Thank you for the great dining experience. Don't change a thing!
My wife and I went here for the first time and were definitely adding it to our return list. The place was clean, the servers were friendly, and the food was good. I had the best Philadelphia roll I've ever had here. If you like sushi, give them a try.
Yang's Kitchen Chinese Restaurant
We have been staying in Waller since hurricane Beryl. These Google reviews don't disappoint about Yang's! Visited around 5pm and there was no one in the dining room. So I admit I was skeptical. I ordered the chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and wonton soup. MY GOODNESS I was super happy with taste and presentation and portion sizes. Everything was made hot and delicious while I waited and when I made it back to our hotel room the taste did not disappoint. I would and probably will drive from Houston to visit again. So delish!!
What a gem in disguise! Food is absolutely wonderful. We were traveling on a Friday night and worried a bit, being the only guests there, but took a chance and it paid off. (Buffet is lunch only BTW! And they do a brisk take away business) Hot and Sour Soup is hearty and full of good stuff with a rich full bodied broth. Egg Drop Soup is rich and creamy with lots of flavor. Orange Chicken is large chunk chicken, white meat, with a thick, not too sweet, sauce that compliments the flavor of the lightly battered pieces perfectly. I ordered mine spicy and it was perfect, my daughter ordered regular and loved it. Sweet and Sour Combo was chicken and shrimp, perfectly fried and served with a deep red sauce. Beef Chungking is a mix of beef, mushrooms and onions in a really nice brown sauce. It's labeled as spicy on menu but didn't come across until about half way in when my husband realized the spice crept in slowly, but it was there! Egg(spring) rolls were very tasty. Not at all greasy and the Rangoon puffs weren't either. We all enjoyed our dinner and we dropped a pin for another trip through!
888 Chinese Restaurant
First time coming to this location and I can honestly say I won’t be back….. no one speaks English so it’s hard to communicate with the waiters and managers. The menu for the soups doesn’t specify what is in them so if you wanna try something different it’s best to ask…. My husband wanted to try the seafood soup and didn’t realize it doesn’t come like the chicken noodle soup. ( potatoes, carrots, celery, onions etc) it had bell peppers, green beans, and a whole bunch of other stuff my husband can’t eat all thrown in with seafood and topped off with chicken broth….. the saddest most bland soup ever tasted! When we asked switch it out for something else the manager kinda caught an attitude with us and acted like he didn’t care if he liked the food or not. My husband ended up getting what I have which is the spicy chicken soup and still it’s bland! We will continue to go to the 888 off wayside as we have never had any issues! It’s no surprise this location is completely empty….
The food is good, and the service as well. The place is so clean.
Panda Express
When I first moved to this neighborhood, this Panda Express had great food and service. For a few months now, the food has been mediocre at best. Maybe new management or something. I didn’t realize just how bad they had gotten until I visited the IAH location. It was 100% better. My wife brought this plate in the picture today. You can see the teriyaki chicken is burnt, the chicken and mushrooms is a bit oily. The shrimp in the side was terrible. I won’t go back to this location until they change management.
Door dashed from this location, great service. The food not so great. Missing the food
Ming's Chinese Cafe, Spring
Tried to order about $70 worth of food tonight. Order went through their web site. At no time was I asked for a payment type. I was concerned, so I attempted to call them. No answer after about 15 attempts and the voicemail was full. My wife stopped by and they appear to be closed for renovation or something. Lost my business forever and I recommend no one order from them either. Can't let customers know your closed on your site or voicemail greeting, then you deserve to close!
Worst food ever I ordered Uber eats and it was terrible everything smelled spoiled, the chicken looks like worms are in it! On Uber eats it says 4.9 when it’s so below 0 the soup smells like 🤮 the crab Rangoon is so thick and nasty and please let’s not get on the rice like what in the world
Panda Express
So I come to this Panda fairly often. Service used to be great when the store opened, but has seen a steady decline. Now the place is pretty far from the upbeat but relaxed atmosphere it used to have. The customer service pretty much sucks now. The employees, in this case Michele, they don't listen or even make any effort. I'm sure I'm setting my expectations way too high, but the thing is service and the food quality formerly was so much better. Probably will avoid this location in the future at this point.
🤮 ! They do not clean and more then half of the food was gone and have little to no choices. Water leaking from the fountain machine. Food all over the floor. Will be calling health department.
