MiMi Garden TX
It's hard to find an authentic traditional Chinese restaurant in the woodlands area, but I think I've finally found it! The food is amazing!! Their Pan fried dumplings and hand pulled noodles are all excellent! I can't wait to go back and try the other dishes.
The restaurant decor is much brighter now. They have a small glass pane to see some of the prep work. I ordered the hot and sour soup and Mongolian beef. No rice comes with it. You must order it separately. There are also no crispy noodles for the hot and sour soup. You can't even order them. The hot and sour soup was good except for it was a little too much sour. I added chili oil to balance it out. The Mongolian beef was very good with tender beef, scallions, onions, and bell peppers. The bell peppers added another level of freshness. The restaurant is good, and I would go back, but I would not take kids with me as everything is a separate charge, and it would get pricey.
P.F. Chang's
🌟 **Wonderful Service!** 🌟 I had a fantastic experience at PF Changs today thanks to our waitress, Isabelle. She was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations. Her attentive service made our meal special. Isabelle went above and beyond to accommodate us with a smile and friendly demeanor. Her professionalism truly made our night memorable. Thank you, Isabelle, for the outstanding service! We look forward to returning.
I went to pf chang’s many times if I want kindof asian food. The food is asian-western not the asian authentic one. Atmosphere and location is nice next to the mall. They have many kinds of seat setup indoor/outdoor, bar/high table and proper table/booth. Decoration in dark tone. My common go-to is hot & sour soup and fried rice. Depends on occasion fried rice can be different including uber eat version (I prefer one with less oily). I always ask for chilli paste for spice thing up.
Shanghai bistro
Really enjoyed the dining experience here. Staff was attentive and friendly and the food was great. The crispy chicken with chili and peppers was just spicy enough without being too hot. All in all, would definitely come back here if I’m ever in the area.
Food was delicious! Portion sizes were great. We ordered the general chicken and the orange chicken, both were great. They use white meat for their chicken and I did not request it - wow! Would recommend. 10/10.
China Bridge
Nice small restaurant where only one server is needed. I ordered the lunch special Mongolian beef with fried rice and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup did not have enough sour in it, and overall, it was a little too starchy as well. The Mongolian beef was okay. There was a char coal, smoky taste to it that overpowered the scallions. The fried rice helped with getting rid of some of that charcoal smoky flavor from the beef. Overall, it was okay.
Ok so I stop by to have lunch and it was very good and over all portions were just right and flavor is on par with traditional Chinese food. 1 Hot & Sour soup was good and tasty, flavor was just right and no sugar added, that’s how Hot & Sour soup should be. 2 the spring roll that comes with lunch is very good and handmade not like your package spring roll, definitely good and crispy! With homemade mustard and their chili it’s just another level 3 I had the Hunan Chicken and flavor definitely is excellent and the Vegetable is fresh and well blend with the taste. Over all definitely would be back and around this area, well if you tried you would come back again.
Chef Chan’s the Original
The food was very good and good quality, and the service was fast and courteous! I really enjoyed the food. I had the Happy Family lunch special
Lunch menu. General Tso chicken. Sauce taste was good but the chicken was barely warm, as was the rice. And the egg roll was cold. Accompanied by the smallest bowl of soup I’ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant. But would say the soup tasted good. Just small. Mentioned this review to staff and they were totally indifferent. Went and bought a sandwich a few shops down and was disappointed enough I came back and showed them that I had to go and buy another lunch. Avoid. And $3 for a can of Diet Coke … seriously?
Dumplings & Noodles Delight
This place is amazing. The food was great, the xiaolongbao was absolutely delicious. Just how a soup dumpling should be. I had an assortment of food, and all of it was really good and freshly made. The dumplings do take a bit for them to make. They make them to order, but it's worth the wait. I highly recommend checking this place out!
The food was amazing!! Attentive staff. Very kids friendly. I thought we ordered too much but ended up eating everything! We ordered the pan-fried boas, steamed pork dumplings, stir-fried noodles, and braised beef noodle soup. Definitely will be back!
Mei Wei
Great food. We typically call ahead or order online and pick it up. Food has ALWAYS been ready on time; this is important to me, not wasting anyone's time. It's hard to call this standard Chinese take out since it is much tastier, has a better menu and a bit more love put into the dishes. I'd call it elevated, not quite traditional or authentic like the Asian dishes my family makes at home, but definitely a different level than standard takeout. People are super friendly, service is great. Keep up the great work. I'll be back many times in the future.
This restaurant is pretty much the definition of mid in the kindest way possible. It was just okay. It fed us. I went with my family and it wasn't bad or good. My mother did leave feeling grossed out, I didn't try her plate, but apparently the shrimp tasted like it had dirt. My brother got the honey coconut chicken (I think that's what it's called?), I thought it was good with the first bite. Kind of tasted like it had the sauce from the coconut shrimp at Red lobster. But he said it was too sweet and got overwhelming after the first few bites. I got the orange chicken and it was the best of the meals, so perhaps that's why I'm being so lenient with this review. Still, best was just mid. It was okay, I thought it was decent but the flavor was very mild? Most of the things needed salt added. Service was great, our server was attentive and refilled drinks and brought napkins and stuff without them being asked for. He was friendly. The atmosphere was also just okay. A bit dirty as I sat in the booth seat next to some... Really dirty blinds. But it's not horrible, and it fed us. 80 something bucks with three people and tip.
Famous Wok
Great guys working over lunch hour, but the food was a huge miss. Anything glazed was relatively flavorless. The bourbon chicken was full of flavor, however. And the white rice was perfectly sticky.
In the mall. Ordered from in past. Very friendly staff but the food missed the mark. Ordered 2 meat, 1/2 veg & noodles. Veggies & Teriyaki chicken were way over cooked. Steak lacked flavor & breading was coming off. Noodles lacked flavor .
Golden Chopsticks
First time here. I had the seafood casserole with steamed rice - yum! Cleaned my plate and it was a generous portion. Excellent service and a variety of selections.
I went to try this place after they reopened their new location closer to Herrera's and was very disappointed the first two times I ordered from them. The first time I ordered the veggie plate and was kind of surprised at the the lack of variety of veggies (there was maybe 3, I think), I expected more of a stir fry type dish but instead, the vegetables were sitting in a thick light colored liquid. I was a little too thrown off by it so, I just ate the white rice. The second time I tried them, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken but could only eat 2 pieces as the chicken tasted like FISH. I figured that maybe they used the same oil to fry both? I gave them a third try because their lunch plates are VERY cheap (they include a bowl of soup and an egg roll) and was glad I did because their beef and broccoli was MUCH better than the chicken and veggies. My plate came with two scoops of rice (I went with the fried rice) and a very tasty egg roll! I chose not to have the soup as I didn't like it the first time I got it (dumpling) and didn't want to waste it. The young man who works the counter is very friendly and helpful, while the female is cold and rude, so the 4 stars in service are really for the young man. My opinion is that their lunch plate prices (about 10 bucks) are fair for the quality and taste of the food they serve but I definitely would not pay dinner prices.
