PHO 32
My lady and I visit once a week, everything from the service to food is top quality. Egg drop soup is fresh, combo pad Thai is the best in town, amazing pho and THE BEST FRESH LEMONADE AND CREAM PUFFS. The staff are all so great and create a very comfortable environment. We love to support their family business. Only regret is that we didn’t find it sooner.
Dirty restaurant, got sick within 30 minutes of finishing food, broth tasted days old and very little protein. I have NO idea how they site at 4.5. This place is an easy 1.3 in any other major city. Do better SATX.
Kirin Chinese Restaurant And Cocktail Bar
During dinner we enjoyed fast and friendly service and the following delicious items Spicy Chao Ma Seafood Noodle Soup with garlic, ginger, prawns, scallop, calamari, mussel, Chinese vegetables Five Ocean Happy Family with chili, prawns, scallop, mussels, calamari, fish, broccoli,. shiitake Family Style Brained Tofu with chili bean paste, garlic, ginger, napa, shiitake Served with steamed rice
Dined here for a Friday Lunch Memorial Service meal. Party of 10. The only diners in the restaurant. Food overall was barely warm. Taste basic. Price overly high. Atmosphere dark and dank. Restrooms the same. I was not paying for the meal, but would not recommend. Lived in the East Bay all my life and have dined on Solano Ave for years. There was a reason why I have never dined here and will not in the future.
Sichuan Style
Like most Chinese restaurants Sichuan style has a very large menu. The restaurant has lots of seating and is rarely full, which is nice. Most of what I’ve had here has been excellent, but I was not as big a fan of the fried rice. It was heavier with stronger flavors than I typically like. The staff was very fast and helpful, and the portions were huge. And they give kimchi!
I recommend and have been 3 times. Green beans are perfect, potsticker wrappers are homemade, scallion pancakes are fried, and fried rice has excellent flavor and lean bits of pork. We usually get sweet and sour chicken but have also had kung pao chicken. Everything is great and I even eat the leftovers which are delicioso. 😗
