Pho Place
This is a gem! The bad reviews are from quite a while ago and should be deleted by Google as the old ones don't pertain to the new owners. My husband devoured his pho and I enjoyed every bite of my bún bò huê, a very complex soup. It was very authentic, flavorful, and fresh. I'm not big on the blood cube, but I was willing to try it, since everything else was so good. It was perfect. If you're squeemish about it, just ask for the soup without it. Same with the pig knuckle. I do like the pig knuckle and it was also done right. But again, you can ask them to omit this. There will be plenty of other tender meat in the soup. The flavors were all on point! This is one of the best bún bò huês I've ever had. I didn't take pictures, but I'll include a poster that's on the window, because this is exactly how it looked. The pho broth was made from scratch and with real beef bones. Here you'll get the authentic bone broth that's cooked for 30 hours. I'm going to take all my friends here for Vietnamese. And I'll be back to try all their other entrees and appetizers. My husband also got the Vietnamese iced coffee and it's delicious. It's authentic and they give you a good sized cup (not the small cup). I gave the atmosphere 3 stars, because it's not anything exciting. Just a diner feel, but it's clean and tidy. I do like that there are some booth seats though. Support this awesome restaurant. The owners are so nice and they're definitely real chefs.
I am so happy to have found a good viet place here in San Antonio. Coming from Houston it was hard to find a place that really specializes in a good pho broth or make a great banh mi. I will 100% be coming back. Excited to try the Bun Bo Hue!
Thai Buri Restaurant
Our family of 4 had dinner here for the 1st time. We had the fried mushrooms, spring rolls, fried cheese crab meat & the mild green curry. They were all delicious dishes, although the fried food were a bit greasy, they were still good. It is a bit pricey. The service was great. Two waitresses helped each other out & attended to our table. I would recommend this place. It was yummy!😋
One of my favorite Thai Restaurants in SA! The curry puffs are a must. Have tried most of their curry’s and each one is delicious (my favorite is the green). Recently tried the crispy duck and it was amazing! The staff is so sweet and the restaurant has a cozy home feel to it. Love this place
Jerusalem Grill
Jerusalem Cafe is a must-visit for anyone who loves fresh, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine! We ordered several dishes, including the mezza platter, which was outstanding. The tabouleh salad was vibrant and refreshing, the mahmara was rich and flavorful, the foul had a comforting depth, and the hummus was creamy perfection. The naan was a highlight—huge, soft, and absolutely delicious. It paired perfectly with everything on the platter. I also appreciated the many vegan options on the menu, making it a great choice for all dietary preferences. The quality and care in every dish were evident. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Mediterranean food, Jerusalem Cafe should be at the top of your list!
Will has been here before and said it was excellent. We are here today and I have to agree. The food is fresh and delicious. Side note - the place is clean and spotless. The food orders are large. The waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Thai Hut Restaurant
My family and I stopped to take some food to go. The staff was friendly and really nice. The portions of the food are big. Unfortunately the taste is just not there. All the food was really oily and just no flavor. I don’t mi d paying for food that will be good. The price for the food here is just not worth it. I will not be coming back.
Thai Hut is my favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant. I LOVE their red curry, Pad Makur, Pad Woonsen, Pad Thai, spring rolls…their oils are delicious too. The service is great, same people working there for years.
Sushishima Japanese Restaurant
This place is really good, food is always of high quality and atmosphere is pretty chill. Definitely recommend the razor cut yellowtail, the rice less cucumber wrapped sushi is okay, the cucumber overpowers everything else and all you taste is cucumber because of how much cucumber is there. They have an extensive menu. Service is relatively good.
It was my first time visiting and I had an amazing experience. Rin was our server and she was very kind and attentive about my gluten allergy. The service was great and the food was delicious as well. I highly recommend coming here!
Taco Bell
I've been coming to this location for many years. The staff changes but they are always friendly. Maybe they like each other and enjoy their shifts. I don't know, but no one is ever in a bad mood. Any way, I came in tonight with limited funds and wanted 2 tacos. I can't read well anymore and my fingers ordered 2 drinks and the wrong taco....lol. Annnd, it was spicyaf. I couldn't eat it. So I ponied up for another 2 crunchy tacos. I didn't say anything, I just ordered my 2 tacos. Well let's just say it was my night, the guy gave me an extra crunchy taco. Not a big deal to anyone but me, but a really big deal to me. And that dude deserves a big thank you. Remember this at 130am when you are in this drive thru and people around you are impatient.
Taco Bell has gone from being one of the best fast food values to a total rip off. Time to reconsider my fast food choices. This question cup is a joke.
Jimmy John's
I have been eating at JJ for years and have never had a bad experience until this location. I came yesterday and ordered my 5 customized as I always do. A guy made my sandwich and I left with a sandwich that didn’t have double roast beef, no dressing. It had 2 tomatoes and 2 cucumbers sloped on it. Bland, dry. Today i came back and thought I’d give the location another chance. I explained to the girl who took my order that the sandwich was messed up yesterday and to try and get it right today. She didn’t apologize or acknowledge it, and just stared at me. After paying for it, I mentioned to her to have it made right again without a response, head nod, or anything. Shockingly, it was made extremely incorrectly once again, this time missing most of the add ons I mentioned at the register. I will not be returning to this location ever again.
Absolutely ♥️ Jimmy John’s BANDERA!! General Manger Neysa is such a hard worker + Team. She’s always welcoming, helpful in placing my order, & quick to get my order complete! She’s assisted myself in catering two Events with my workplace— HOTWORX. Everyone absolutely loves the freshness of the Sandwiches!! Thank-You for your Partnership!
