Dragon Buffet
Grand opening days! Nice facility, the receptionist and waitress are excellent and attentive. There is a wide variety of food. Had the egg noodle soup, but the chips/noodles tasted stale. first time and some many people, $65 for 3 people.
He did this place for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. There was a bit of a wait about 15 minutes, but it went quickly. We got seated and started in on the buffet little bit messy but not bad items kept full.
PHO 88
First time trying this place since it changed name. I ordered Beef Pad Thai, service was so fast by that time because because only 0ne table with people eating.when i get home, i was so disappointed on the food, lack of flavor, barely have bean sprout on it, noodles used is different.i paid $16 something just for this. China Rose Pad Thai is way way better than this and cheaper. Not coming back to ordee here.
I used to order from here when it was called pho vy. Didn’t realize the changed the name but with that I still hoped it would taste the same, I was mistaken. I LOVED their Vietnamese egg rolls, whatever they have now listed as “Vietnamese egg roll” is nothing close to the same. I was so disappointed and sad that they no longer make them. And charging $5 for just two small pork egg rolls is ridiculous. I used to always get the beef and onion vermicelli bowl. I even made sure to ask that they still made it the same with peanuts, cucumbers, onions and the guy on the phone said yes but when I got home I noticed no peanuts were in the plate at all. $21 for vermicelli noodles and two small egg rolls is insane. Honestly this place has just turned into a mediocre food spot sadly.
Hacienda Vallarta Mexican Restaurant
New to San Antonio and this place is where to go!! Their menudo is always fresh and so flavorful. The alcoholic drinks are so authentic and always made the same every time. I always get the Mexican pain killer and one day there wasn’t a bartender and an employee offered to make both my drinks while on her break… the team work and customer service here is wonderful especially since there is sometimes an language barrier they always have someone to make sure the customer is happy! This is where I’ll always bring my family and friends!!!
We got the mole enchiladas. They were amazing, hot and fresh. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The tortillas tasted homemade. The inside of the restaurant is so much bigger than it looks on the outside. The artwork is fun to look at. Definitely going back.
Panda Brothers
We have dined in a couple of times and have never had an issue. But I have noticed their food often has less and less protein and more vegetables. Today’s delivery was really disappointing. I got a couple pieces of chicken and a whole tray of onions and peppers. I would not recommend take out or delivery the price is not worth for what you get.
My husband and I had gotten a Groupon for this restaurant. $40 worth of food for $22, in this economy? Yes please! We were offered complimentary soup for dining in, so we both got wonton. I got teriyaki chicken with vegetables and lo mein and he got orange chicken with fried rice. Each of our meals came with an egg roll. We ordered an appetizer of chicken lettuce wraps (which was a huge portion compared to what we thought it was going to be!!). And our son got a side of french fries too. Plus we all got drinks. Our bill came out to a little over $31😱 We will definitely be going back here, they were fantastic.
Beijing Express
I've been coming here off and on for the last 11 years. It's amazing food and have only had 1 visit in the past where the food didn't taste as good. It's amazing for the price and always fresh. 100% going thru the drive thru recommended. The building is old and you can definitely tell that on the inside. But I've never had any concern on food safety. Definitely worth it here.
Food here is decent. Chicken is cooked perfectly but wish the rice had more flavor other than soy sauce. Egg roll is delicious and isn't greasy.
