Applebee's Grill + Bar
Came to This Applebees Location and was very impressed and grateful for the service and hospitality I received from LeRon. He was not only attentive to my table but he was the only server I saw in the restaurant taking care other tables as well and assisted customers at the Bar. He is number one because Everything I asked he went above and beyond. My food was served hot and delicious and the service by LeRon was excellent. I will definitely become a regular guest here because of LeRon.
Great place that remains uncrowded. Friendly greeting when I walked in by Leron, and bar service by Kristine B. I got a budget lager recommended Yuenling lager and 5 onion rings as I sat at the bar. Plenty of parking. Handicap access. Honestly a little haunt next to the Drury hotel and it can be yours as well
Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet
I've been exploring more Mediterranean food options lately and decided to give Dimassi's buffet a try. There are a lot of options here. I tried a little but of everything to see what I liked and didn't. Surprisingly, there wasn't much I didn't like. This place is definitely worth checking out. It's spacious, has a friendly price, and the lunch buffet is under $20. It's a great deal.
I'm so impressed with my first visit here! The diverse food options are phenomenal, and the flavors are outstanding. The atmosphere is both elegant and cozy, making for a wonderful dining experience. What really sets this place apart, though, is the unique feature of live streaming getaways from around the world. If you're looking for inspiration for your next vacation, this is a great perk. Given the excellent value for the price, I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this amazing spot to friends and family!
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
We eat here twice a year. Very tasty food, great service and quite expensive. It’s a great place to eat seafood because you get your moneys worth of delicious food! I would go and dine there a lot more often but the menu items while delicious, are very expensive. Is it worth it? For twice a year yes!
This is one of my families’s favorite places to go have a nice dinner. We do not go frequently as it is a little pricier than our wallet would normally allow. But it’s OK for special occasions price wise and it’s not that anything really is overpriced because you get an enormous amount of food on your plate. And everything is cooked perfectly, you couldn’t ask for much better. This last visit we were there for my birthday and my grandson’s birthday. Attaching photo.
Umiya Sushi
Umiya was a great experience. For $32 at the time I went, they had so many items to choose from. The food was great and fresh as I was hoping. The service was great as my waitress was always checking on me and making sure my drinks were full and to see if I needed to order more. The place was very nice inside and had very chill vibes. There were a few tvs to watch, and the overall decor was nice. I would definitely recommend this place and I will for sure go back.
Great sushi place for family or date night 🌃🍣 Highly recommend for any visitors or sushi lovers. Came in with party of 6 and we had a great time. Big shout to Evan for excellent service and the chef special. If you don't like sushi this place will change your mind. Good price and small portions enough to try many things. All you can eat sushi and others. $31.95 per person but it worthy. Come over and try it yourself. You won't be disappointed. Try hibachi steak, mango tuna, and baked NZ mussels.
KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot
This place was PACKED on a rainy Thursday afternoon, so I can only imagine what it's like when people actually want to be out and about. That being said, the wait wasn't long at all, and the place is pretty huge, so there is plenty of seating. 2 hr eating limit. Both hot pot and BBQ are available, but the table has to all agree on which to do. For BBQ, you order all the meat and veggies from the server, but the sauce and condiment bar, including desserts, is self-serve. Small rice portions, the spicy options have more kick than I have had at other places (beware), and a wide variety of meat options, all of which are marinated to perfection (so you don't even need the sauce bar unless you are going for a very particular flavor). The service is great, with a continuous train of bussers taking away empty plates, so the table doesn't stay cluttered long. The atmosphere is crazy! We had K-Pop on one TV, Pokemon on another, and sports on another. Lots of service members here eating, too. Next time we will be trying the hot pot!
Kpot is my new jam. The food here is soooooo good. We literally ordered almost every piece of meat, sides and vegetables. Everything was fresh and delicious. I definitely added about 10 pounds leaving this place. The service is definitely top notch. Our waitress was on point, refilling drinks and constantly checking on us and answering questions as they arose. The other staff members were consistently taking away any dirty dishes and making sure we had room in the table. As far as atmosphere, this place is lively. Great music and and I enjoyed the modern decor. I absolutely recommend this place and will be back many more times.
Panda Express
Delicious and fresh! Fast! 4-13-2025 12:50 pm. Strong team. Everyone is working together. Polite. Server's Nails cleaned. Staff acting professional. And some have warm smiles. Feels welcoming. I Highly recommend this location!
Ordered the plate with an extra entree of orange chicken due to a promo and the entire order was inedible. Over cooked over sauced food to try to cover up the dryness, the rice was hard, I found a piece of clear plastic in my orange chicken. Will definitely not be back to this location. Beltway location will forever have my business over this one.
Hong Kong Cafe
The staff were very friendly. The Cafe was spotless. Clean restrooms. We ordered General Tso's chicken and Sweet n Sour chicken and 2 egg rolls. $30, to me, was quite steep. While none of the food was bad, all of it lacked in bold flavor. It's like they were scared of over doing it, so they left it on the not so tasty side. I wouldn't say bland but, close. I made some sauce with soy, rice vinegar and Sesame oil at home. Fixed my Tso's right up. The food portions above par. Tomorrow will make the 3rd night of chicken. Egg roll and fried rice are gone. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a friendly staff, clean place and quiet atmosphere. Tho, I would recommend asking for extra flavoring. By the way. They give you packets of duck sauce. I had never had any. I thought it had duck in it. I gave it a try. Phenomenal! I will be buying me a bottle on my next grocery run! Oh. I stole a few pieces of my Mom's sweet n sour chicken. 😁
Glad I stopped here! Good food and even greater service! I had their spicy garlic shrimp, veggie roll and they’ve got Vietnamese iced coffee! ☕️ 5 Stars
Dragon Bowl Latin-Asian Cuisine
This may be San Antonio Puerto Rican food but it's definitely NOT Puerto Rico-Puerto Rican or Nuyorican Chinese food in the least. The service, when we walked up was not as friendly as others have experienced. The glass in front of the warming table was dirty and the chicharrones under the heat lamp looked dry. Fried rice and lo mein are $1.25 extra. At a Chinese takeout. It was insane to pay more for mediocre, HARD fried rice that was absolutely not Puerto Rican-style fried rice. It tasted like it was a day old, it was so hard. If you're selling yourself as Boricua Chinese food then give us the ham, ribs, onion, and lettuce like it should be. That or serve stir-fried rice that's fresh and not old. We ordered the two meat plate; one with pepper steak and ribs, the other with Mongolian beef and chicharron de pollo and the birria eggrolls. The ribs shouldn't be sold. The breading is gummy, not crispy, the meat was dry, and the sauce is over-seasoned with Chinese five spice or some other ungodly spice that overwhelmed the palate. Whatever that anise-five spice situation is needs to be scaled back or eliminated. The amount of spice on the ribs is the complete opposite of PR or NY costillas, spicy instead of sweet and sour. The pepper steak was okay, but you can tell it never touched a wok. The meat lacked that caramelization. I think they should start truly stir frying their meats. The chicharron de pollo was the only menu item that tasted like it was "Puerto Rican," it was well seasoned and the chicken was decent, a little on the dry side. The Mongolian beef was beef with broccoli so that was a wash. They need to ensure they're serving the customers what they ordered or prepare the food the traditional way so there are no surprises. The birria egg rolls were rolled too small, which means the inside of the egg roll was gummy. If they rolled them a little bigger there wouldn't be excess wrapper inside. The consommé it came with has globs of fat floating in it but was decent. I'm bummed because we went hoping to have a new place that would bring a taste of home. Unfortunately, I can't bring myself to go back because it just wasn't worth the money.
I enjoyed the lunch special of orange chicken w/fried rice & eggroll. It was tasty & a large portion. Good value for your dollar! Looks spotlessly clean & the staff (owner?) super friendly. It's inside the gas station store so it's to go & delivery orders only, though there is a little outside patio with 2 picnic tables. I'll be going back to try other menu items. This is a great addition to our Leon Springs/Fair Oaks Ranch community.
Tiger Chinese Cuisine
Second time here. I mixed it up both times traditional deep-fried green beans with grilled pork, pickled chicken feet, and I think it was spicy Taiwanese soup everything was excellent the first time. If you come here don't order the stuff you're comfortable with get out of your box they have really good dishes that are not Mongolian beef or beef and broccoli. This time I had Szechuan style dry fried crispy pork intestine spicy and delicious. It had Szechuan peppers bell peppers celery and either leaks or lemongrass I can't tell the difference with all the chili. And you have to be careful because the red bell peppers will hide the dried chilies and if you catch one it will light you on fire. I also had their steamed wontons in spicy sauce I believe all good yeah thank you they were awesome. Tried the pickled green beans with grill pork since the pickled chicken feet were so good last time. This dish was the only one that I didn't care for. It's not that I didn't like it I just wouldn't order it again. I won't say it was bad it just wasn't to my taste. I've been to all the best rated Chinese places in San Antonio and this one tops them all.
This place is bomb. I used to get the spicy poached fish all the time a few years ago, I’ve finally come back and it’s better than I remember! I almost ordered another one to take home. Huge portions, the restaurant is clean, food is authentic, and nice staff.
Fire Wok
Came in for a business lunch, service was great but however the food is ok. I order kung po chicken and got lemon chicken? I was going to complained but the lady was nice and provide me more chicken. Fried rice was good and the egg roll. Over all for a quick stop by it’s ok but if you think it’s more than that then it could be depending on what day you come in.
Service was ok, no complaints, the food though was a whole other experience. Im sorry, but IDK how you mess up General Tso Chicken sauce?!?! Then the staple Sesame Chicken? The flavors were just not there and tasted sour and off. The tea was the only good item to digest. Again, sorry, gave this place a chance, and it was not up to par. Even the rice was not cooked properly. Try at your own risk.
Teriyaki Madness
Customer service is lacking. Called in and expressed that I had placed a door dash order. I was cut off by the rep and told all the online orders had already been made. I scheduled mine for much later... When I was finally allowed to further explain the circumstances, I requested my spicy chicken teriyaki be switched out for regular (there is no option to select double original on the app (DoorDash)). My information was taken, but I wound up with spicy still, unfortunately. The food is solid, the spicy chicken teriyaki isn't incredibly spicy but I can't handle heat anymore. I'll consider giving this place another shot in person and hope for better luck.
Food was very hot and delicious. I got the regular portion of chicken breast teriyaki with fried rice and veggies and it seems like a pretty good size portion. I also added to make it spicy. Crab Rangoons are different from others because they are folded like a mini taco lol, a little sweet, a slight crab taste but mostly cream cheese. Down side was the sweet and sour sauce as well as teriyaki is packaged so not freshly made. Very good char flavor on the chicken and fried rice was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back!
HuHot Mongolian Grill
I ate lunch here with my kids for the first time the other day. It was a great place to stop for a break to eat while out shopping. You choose your foods, put the items in a little bowl, and add the flavoring sauce. They have an area with recipes for how many flavours and which flavours to add to get a specific taste to the meal. It was a bit difficult to find a parking spot close by and I wish the bowls were a little bigger (for choosing the foods), they also took a while to refill drinks—-other than that, we had a great experience.
The remodel is very nice. The restaurant is clean and all the employees are super nice too. I love coming here because I get to put all the veggies I like in one bowl and I’m good to go. The chefs also clean the grill every time they finish and they deep clean it for those who don’t want pork touching their food. The price is very reasonable too.
