Lin's Express
I've been a frequent customer of Lin's for about 5 years now and have never been disappointed. Food has always been super fresh and delicious; LOVE the portion sizes, too! Also, the staff are always so nice and welcoming. My go-to is will forever be the Spicy Orange Chicken. 🔥
Since moving to San Antonio, I have had the hardest time finding a restaurant that serves good Asian food. LIN'S EXPRESS serves great food. Their menu includes Chinese, some Japanese, vegetarian and even some Thai foods. Their egg rolls are the absolute best. Parking is not an issue, no reservation is needed, and they offer dining in and/or dining out. You won't be disappointed.
Sukhothai Thai Restaurant Express III
My recent lunch experience at Sukhothai in Alamo Ranch presented a vivid tapestry of contrasts. On the culinary front, the restaurant serves as a testament to the rich and vibrant flavors that Thai cuisine has to offer. The affordability of the meals was an immediate plus, setting a positive tone as we perused the menu. We began our gastronomic journey with the potstickers and cheese rolls, both of which were served fresh, hot, and were unequivocally delicious. These appetizers hinted at the culinary expertise lying within the kitchen’s walls. The main course further cemented our appreciation, with the Thai fried rice with chicken hitting all the right notes of flavor and spice at a level marked ‘Hot’. It was a symphony of taste that was both exhilarating and comforting. The sesame chicken, with its perfect blend of crispy texture and saucy goodness, was another highlight that deserves praise. However, the dining experience took a turn upon observing the restaurant’s interior conditions. Despite the relatively small and uncrowded space, cleanliness was noticeably neglected. Tables remained unbussed, coated in remnants of previous diners’ meals, and the floors were in dire need of attention. Moreover, the staff’s nonchalant attitude towards maintaining the establishment’s cleanliness, particularly a front-of-house worker who alternated between taking orders and personal leisure activities, was disheartening. It was evident that much could be done to enhance the ambiance and overall dining experience. Despite these shortcomings, the culinary delights provided a compelling reason to overlook the less savory aspects of the environment. I must give special mention to the sweet sticky rice with mango dessert - a dish that not only tantalized the taste buds but also delighted the senses with its unique blue-colored rice, making it my favorite rendition of the dessert I’ve encountered anywhere. In conclusion, Sukhothai in Alamo Ranch offers a culinary experience that can be described as a diamond in the rough. While the food stands out for its quality and flavor, the dining environment leaves much to be desired. A little attention to detail and cleanliness could transform this establishment into a gem worthy of its culinary offerings.
This is the best Thai spot in the area. Curry’s are all great. Cheese rolls and pot stickers were delicious. Thai tea was perfect but the pork fried rice was the star of the meal! Best fried rice in the area! Server was amazing. it’s a smaller restaurant but every seat was full and the one server available took care of everyone with a beautiful smile on her face.
