Yoshi Shabu Shabu š
First time here from AZ and had the most horrible service ever! The service was super slow from the start to the end. My party and I (9 people) got here right when they opened which was at 11am and nobody sat us down until about 15mins later. After being sat we waited a good 30 minutes before someone came to take our order. We didnāt say anything and wanted to give them the benefit of doubt since they just opened. We all ordered water and notice that was taking awhile to come out. We were looking around and they were people who came in after us who already got their food. I started to get upset since we had to wait hours for food to came out to the point where the boiling water pot was almost empty. When the food came out the order got confusing and it that was a big mess too. We got there at 11am and didnāt leave until 2:30pm. Overall, it was a bad experience, horrible customer experience, quality wasnāt great, and price was expensive. Iām not the one who usually complains but customers deserve to be warned.
My first Shabu Shabu experience overall was good. I wasnāt sure what is the best experience. There are multiple servers in this place but only one lady was walking around to explain it was quite a wait, they placed the ingredients she had to turn around to explain and take orders I wish all the servers actively helped in all the work. You need to select a base, protein and the sides are included which will be rice, sauces and veggies. The veggies werenāt really fresh they were cut and kept I assume. The flavors were great we took half of miso and half creamy chicken we really enjoyed the flavors if you needed something the servers to forever I wish it was a little more organized and there was severs designated rather than haphazardly.
Pho Sen Noodle and Grill
If you love Pho, the Vietnamese noodles soups. You have to try Pho Sen. It is located in the busiest Chinese Vietnamese Shopping center. All of their dishes are so yummy. You can try the Signature Pork Chop Rice Plate or Short Ribs & Steak Pho, those are my favorite. ššš
If youāre into veggies and lover of Pho, the Vietnamese noodles soups. You have to try Pho Sen.Ā Their veggie soup is made/cook to order from 100% vegan broth, yummy and flavorful. Always fresh!!
Sakhuu Thai (Richardson Location)
Tasty drinks and please try their roti ice cream dessert!!!! The food is good. They have things that are different and not commonly found at other Thai restaurants. The place is small and cozy. Service is usually good ( a little hiccup here and there tonight). Love this little gem š
Hands down! Iām native Thai and I vouched for this place. The taste and presentation of the dishes, the ambience, and service are truly outstanding.
Lucky House
Tasty even as take-out. But size could be larger for the price. But there is inflation right now. And there is a goid amount of meats on the combo fried rice & pad see-ew we ordered. Full of good flavor that I expect of good Asian restaurants. We didnāt dine in but ordered to-go in person. Spacious & clean restaurant. Nice staff that was quick to give us our order. It wasnāt rush hour.
My wife and I went late in the evening on Super Bowl Sunday as other places were busy. This was our first time here. The place was empty. The customer service was extremely attentive. Miso and the other soups are free. Made fresh to order, hot and delicious! A must try!
Hometown Cafe
The food was good, nice flavor profile and the portions were large. Price was very fair. Just some small issues. I wish there were labels to know what each dish were or whether itās spicy or not. This way, we didnāt have to constantly ask what each dish was and kind of flavor it is. A lot of chicken and pork options but wish there were more beef options. I would for sure come here again! Also, the address on Yelp is old, we went to the wrong location. Please update that.
This is a home cook cafe style restaurant. They have variety of selection of food to pick from. Simple to order, pick 3 dishes and serve with rice and you can get your own soup. This is a CASH ONLY. They also have a menu you can order from. They do have specialty menu on the weekend. Family always enjoy coming here. Every gets to pick what they like. $10 for a meal.
Royal Sichuan
My favorite dishes here are the fried chicken in chili, cumin lamb, Sichuan green beans (so crunchy and deliciously garlicky), and cong xin cai (water spinach, I think). I also like their fish in āfire sauceāā which is great for sharing. (Their portions in general are suited for sharing!) The service was quick and water was frequently filled. HighlightāGreen beans so good I crave them specifically.
Another solid Chinese restaurant for the Dfw area. They specialize in sichuan food so Iād stick to the spicy dishes.
Canton Chinese Restaurant
Really fantastic Chinese food. Huge menu with familiar favorites as well as a big selection of more authentic dishes. We ordered the whole lobster with ginger and scallion (yum!!), squid/prawns/scallops with Chinese broccoli, crab and shrimp soup, and sweet & sour chicken (surprisingly delicious and fresh tasting!). Surprised to read other reviews about bad service (maybe some of us need to be more understanding of different cultures and that not everyone needs to hover over us all through a meal??) but we found everyone here very welcoming. Our waiter even did the unheard of and told me we might be ordering too much food and recommended cutting a dish, which we did - I got too excited by all the options!) We took my Dad, who grew up in Richardson in the 50s/60s and he swears this restaurant is in the same building that used to house the Dairy Queen where he and his friends would hang out as teenagers! Affordable, delicious and weāll definitely be back!
It was delicious. Definitely loved the beef noodles, one portion was too much for two people. I had tried lobster with salted eggsš¦ served hot and seasoning well, it was around 38$ for that one. I should call 2-3 dishes. Stop by first time read the previous review and gave it a try. Worth the time and experience.
DFW China Town
Iām not sure why people recommended Richardson Chinatown to usāitās just a single row of stores with not much else to see. Honestly, it was a bit of a disappointment. If youāre from out of town, I wouldnāt go out of your way to visit, but if you happen to be passing by, it might be worth a quick stop to explore. The highlight for us was the 85°C Bakery, which was nice. That said, the area felt a bit unkempt and could use some upkeep.
Some great shops, restaurants, bakery and a grocery store all located within walking distance here. We enjoyed the music and other activities that were going on during our visit We ate at the Korean Tofu Restaurant, bought breads at the bakery and visited the grocery store.
Jeng Chi Restaurant
This place is a GEM! Handmade dumplings š„ are superb! Orange beef was so tender I could cut it with a fork. Hot and sour soup was the best I have ever had. Seaweed salad was definitely different than Iāve ever had. Crab rangoons had blue crab and the dipping sauce was excellent. I loved being able to watch them make the dumplings by hand. Very clean, great service and definitely worth every dime.
5 STARS There's usually always a 30-45 min wait during the weekends, but that's a good thing. This is one of our favorite spots and we crave it about every month. Lol I love their Mapo Tofu (the best mapo tofu) and their Sweet & Sour Chicken. They specialize in dumplings so check them out too. Great for large party families and usually open during the holidays.
Genroku Sushi & Grill
This restaurant has been open for over 25 years and has always been my favorite spot for authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Today is my brother's birthday, and we decided to go there for dinner upon my request. Lily made the most delicious dishes for us! I will never stop going there! Best restaurant In town
Delicious food! Friendly and fast service! Atmosphere is clean. One of my favorite places! Thank you!
Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot å°é¾åē«é
This is my new favorite hot pot restaurant. I came here twice. First time was when it was during soft opening. Service was always great, but I was disappointed with the availability of the dishes. When I came back the second time, most of the dishes were available. My favorite soup base is tomato, pork bone, mushroom, and the spicy soup base. I canāt handle too spicy, but I love it with my meat. So I order the least spicy level. Honestly, it was still spicy for me, and the server asked me if it was too much, then he offered to scoop out all the chili pepper, it made it a lot better for me. The service was just right, server are there just when you need them. There are so many dishes that I would eat them over and over again. House special beef tripe is the best one I have tried so far. Pork feet is crispy outside but tender inside. Crystal beef is soft and tender, and many more. This place is beyond my expectations. I will definitely come back.
I recently visited Shoo Loong Kan in Dallas and had an amazing hotpot experience! The prices are great, especially considering you can choose either 2 or 3 different soups for just under $20. The beef here is top-notchāthicker and more tender than other hotpot places I've been to. The vibe is lively and the restaurant gets crowded, which just adds to the fun atmosphere. They also have spacious tables, with a round table for 8-10 people, making it perfect for group dinners. We tried the Tom Yum, Pork, and Mushroom soups, all of which were delicious. The filet fish had a slightly strong smell, but the Saba fish was sweet and flavorful. I wasn't a fan of the plum juice, as it had a smoky taste, but my boyfriend loved it. The meal was a little more expensive than other hotpot spots, but the quality and experience make it totally worth it. For 6 people, our total was around $260, including tax but before tip. The best part? They don't automatically add a tip for larger groups, which is a nice touch. To top it off, they offer free ice cream at the endādefinitely recommend trying the strawberry flavor! Thereās still so much more to try, like their fried rice and other sides, so Iāll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!
TP Tea
Came here for Thai tea which they donāt serve. The orders are taken by a kiosk not an employee. Also one of the kiosk were broken so everyone was using just the ONE! Got a Milk tea, 100% sweetness level, no boba. My son got a Milk tea with boba 100% sweetness. My son spit the boba out, he said they were disgusting and half his drink was boba. I tried them and they really didnāt taste that good at all. Overall it was okay but there are better options around town. Parking is crowded in this shopping center as well so just keep that in mind.
Definitely one of the best bubble tea places in Dallas! TP Tea has always been one of my favorite tea shops in Taiwan, and this store in Dallas is pretty good too. Itās located inside the Chinatown, with a huge parking lot right in front of the store. The shop interior looks fairly new, and they also have two machines that take card orders in addition to the regular counter. There are many options on the menu, but what makes them stand out from the rest of the tea shop is really the tieh guan ying tea, so I always get that and make it into a tea latte. TP Tea also has QQ noodles that are rarely found in other bubble tea places. So for me, QQ noodles is a must-add topping! Less ice, 0-30% of sugar works well for me, but ofc there are many other variations/combinations for you to choose from š§
