Jade Palace Restaurant
If you’re looking for comfort Chinese food this is the place! Worth every penny. We typically order the egg roll 10/10 Chicken and dumplings 10/10 Sesame chicken 10/10 (nice and crispy) Shrimp fried rice 10/10 (rice has good flavor and doesn’t taste bland) KungPao chicken! Oh and the cheese boats and sour soup! So yummy!
I ordered kung pao with steamed rice, the kung pao wasn’t the best I have tried, peanuts were not roasted. The steamed rice was a bit hard/dry. Place is clean, wasn’t busy for lunch time. Plenty of parking space.
B2J Fish Soup Plano 不二家酸菜鱼 Plano
The service here was mediocre, but the ambiance was pleasant. The sour and spicy fish/beef soup was outstanding—the best version I’ve had. While the side dishes were decent, the real star of the meal was the soup. If you’re a fan of fish soup, I highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!
I come here at least once a month for their signature fish - it’s just that good and I don’t think I’d ever get tired of it. I also love their cucumber side dish and fish skin! It’s a great place to eat with friends or family - every time I come, it’s with company so we can share! B2J is a small establishment that can sometimes get cold because of the air that rushes in whenever someone enters, but I’ve never had to wait for a table even though seating is limited. It’s next to Nature Brew which is a good place to get your boba fix after 😋
Squares Hot Pot
Squares Hot Pot was an absolutely exquisite experience! TL:DR Snapshot 3 different pricing tiers for all-you-can-eat ($40, $50, $70) that correspond to what kind of Wagyu you get. The rest of the ingredients, veggies, seafood, and more are buffet style. I suggest if you're new to hot pot, have the waiter help you out ordering and make a sauce for you. I also believe that the best way to experience this restaurant is getting the most expensive option and going here on a date night or special occasion. Full Review: Upon walking in the door, there was absolutely no wait and we were seated immediately. Our server was extremely polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful in explaining to us how the hot pot restaurant functioned. He gave us plenty of time to look over the menu, helped us order when we were ready, and even helped us with our buffet ingredients! The 3 different pricing tiers correspond each category of Wagyu: - USA ($40) - Australian ($50) - Japanese ($70) It's all-you-can-eat, but the process is partially ordering the entree items (super easy and on an iPad), and buffet style for drinks, veggies, sauces, and sides. After ordering, the waiter brings the hot pot soup base before serving the ordered entrees. Everything else is for you to go to the buffet and grab as needed. Our server was very attentive and accommodating, accompanying us to the sauce bar after bringing out the food so he could make for us some pro sauces. Upon getting seated with everything you could need or want, the experience truly begins. Make sure to give all the food appropriate time to cook if you are new, and remember to eat slow so you can keep trying everything you're sampling. Conclusion: The food was absolutely excellent at this restaurant and everything was most delicious. The atmosphere was spectacular but what really made this a first-class experience was the service. Without the waiter that we had who was so present and hospitable, the experience just wouldn't have been the same. I would highly suggest Squares Hot Pot to anyone seeking a special and delicious restaurant meal, regardless of any previous experience in the hot pot specialty.
Went here during weekday lunch. They have AYCE which costs $19.99 per person( without tax. No beverage) I would say for the price is a good deal. I personally like the lamb. Beef were good, but too much fat for me. I loved the servers. They were so nice and friendly. Btw, I like dumplings.
Crescent Moon
Absolutely lovely venue!! :D The decorations were so modern and rustic, I totally loved it! A friend of ours got married here, and the vibes were immaculate. Definitely one of the better outdoor venues I’ve seen! (These pictures are of the venue outside, and the getting ready area inside!)💜
Went there after a long time but this place did not disappoint. Their chicken corn soup , sesame chicken, cashew nut chicken and noodles were really good. The only thing I did not like is the amount of onions in the beef with green onion. Beef was tasting good but there were more onions than meat in the dish. Overall experience was really good this time.
