Sichuan Kitchen And Poke
I recently visited this poke spot, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. Service: From the moment we walked in, we were not greeted. The staff member was glued to his phone and only acknowledged us once we placed our order. The ordering process itself wasn’t great either—only one kiosk was available, which slowed things down unnecessarily. When it came time to receive our order, they forgot the miso soup we had paid for, adding to the frustration. There was no acknowledgment when we arrived or when we left, making the service feel cold and unwelcoming. But I didn’t say anything today. I just left as it Food Quality: At first glance, the poke bowl looked decent, but upon closer inspection, it was a different story. The carrots were dark, and it wasn’t the sauce put on over it…and the mango pieces were an unappetizing brown. The overall texture of the bowl was off—everything felt slimy rather than fresh. I’ve had poke plenty of times, and I know what good quality should be, but this was far from it. Considering I’ve been here before and didn’t have these issues, the drop in quality was surprising and disappointing. Cleanliness: The worst part of the visit was the bathroom. It was beyond dirty, with fecal matter left on the toilet. That alone made me question the overall hygiene standards of the restaurant. Overall Rating: 1/5 Not coming back ever again
I visited Sichuan Kitchen & Poke on May 5th, 2025 at 8:40 PM, just 20 minutes before their posted closing time of 9:00 PM (as listed both online and on the front door). I simply wanted to grab a poke bowl to-go, not dine in. However, as soon as I walked in, I was met with, “Sorry, we’re closed.” I wasn’t the only customer turned away either. If the restaurant is not accepting orders 20+ minutes before closing, the owners should update their posted hours to reflect that.

Picked up some sesame chicken the other day. The phone call was fast and courteous. The food was excellent. The chicken was those BIG, meaty chunks. Not the little scrap pieces that are mostly fired breading. It was very tender and juicy. The sauce was sticky and sweet. Lovely stuff. I have tried A LOT of Chinese places in the area and this was easily the best I’ve had.
I ordered Mongolian Combination (Chicken, Shrimp, Beef and Pork) BUT what I got was MONGOLIAN ONIONS with minimal protein in it. See photo... The food is flavorful but EXTREMELY SKIMPY on meats (at best, there were probably 2 medium shrimps in the mix and small pieces and portions of the other proteins)... what a disappointment and waste of money.
Boba tea and flavor of Asia
The food was delicious. As a Chinese, the food here is Chinese food. The noodles are most likely homemade. I forgot to ask. I had it before , the pickle was home made so I ordered Lamb soup with pickle. The Chinese buns are so chewy and tasty. And they are huge. The servers were very friendly and they helped me to make choice.
Authentic northern Chinese food and lovely chef family. The quantity is huge. Their handmade noodles, meat pancakes, string beans, Guo Bao Rou and other dishes are all wonderful. I love sweat and sour fish. If you seek authentic Chinese food, this place is a great place.
