Imperial Garden & Grill
I am glad to say Imperial garden in Mckinney was a smash hit. Delicious and flavorful food. The Mongolian beef was the best out of the two dishes we ordered, the triple delight was good but the Mongolian beef was amazing. The lo mien was great, worth the $6 charge to substitute.the spring rolls were nice and flavorful too. Loved the crunch. The waiter barely spoke English so it was hard to order and have him understand us, but everything came out right. He was a nice guy. I would come back again. I can see why this place is highly rated and best Chinese food I have had since I moved to Texas.
Service was fantastic and we loved the orange chicken. Nice location to get out for a bite
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
I recently discovered Pei Wei since it's close to my job, and I absolutely love it. The staff are always kind and helpful. The tofu is amazing if you're considering vegetarian options, and today the chicken was great as well.
First time dropping in. I was initially going to get the Korean Bbq, but I saw spicy honey chicken.. so I got that instead. Cashiers in most food places assume they ppl have been there before but I encourage all employees unless you recognize someone , treat everyone like it’s their first time. After I told her it was my first time she helped out and was very nice. The food- The chicken itself was VERY SPICY and would NOT recommend to children. I like a bit of spice to my food but this was borderline inedible. I too kit to go but didn’t finish it. I couldn’t enjoy it. The rice was ok and the Thai donuts were a bit overcooked but edible. I will go back to try something different because I feel like the place has potential. Idk if it was just that batch or if it’s always that spicy but I’m not getting that again!
Goody
I don’t know why this place is rated so low. The only thus significantly important the rice wasn’t that good. But I ordered a hunan spicy beef lunch deal. With 2 sides one chicken on a stick which was so tender and filling, and dumplings which I prefer fried but I bet the steamed ones are good. Pretty small seating area. Friendly mom and pops operation going on here. I also enjoyed the veggie egg roll.
Ordered the Kung Pao chicken was molded. Took it back to them, and they said it wasn't there's and that I must have put white sauce in it or put it in the freezer out or was 4 days old. It was literally ordered the night before.
Rice Lovers
This place deserves a higher rating. I'm not a local. I’m in town for work, and staying at a hotel. Rice Lovers is one of two Chinese restaurants the front desk says delivers to the hotel. I'm eating my food as I type this. The food was delivered within 20 minutes of the phone order being placed; 10 minutes earlier than promised.I get the impression that the man who delivered to my room was an owner or manager, as he seems truly humbled and grateful to have my business. He asked how I had heard of the restaurant and seemed genuinely curious. I ordered two entrees so that I'd have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The double cooked pork is delicious. Came with fried rice that is good, but not the best I've had. This would be a five-star review, however, though very tasty, the "Singapore rice noodles" are clearly angel hair pasta, and not actually rice noodles. Don't be discouraged by the low rating. This place was fairly priced, very convenient, and super nice.
We have been eating at this restaurant for almost 4 years now. We WERE a faithful customer. We ordered $50.00 worth of food on 02/15/2021 which is a cheap order for us. We are regulars. My daughter fixed her food and realized after taking a bite that the food tasted funny and there was a smell. My husband immediately started calling Rice Lover's to let them know that the food tasted spoiled. He didn't get an answer then we called the following day to let them know. I was told if we have not touched the food they could reimburse me , but if we had touched any of the food at all there was nothing they could do. I tried calling back to speak with the owner and they kept looking at their caller Id and would not answer the phone. I would have to say they have lost a loyal customer. I would have to rate them at a 1 star. Very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
