Asian Kitchen
Great little shop inside 99 Ranch. You can get some good traditional dim sum here at a decent price. I'm used to NYC dim sum, and I've missed it; thankfully this place is a pretty decent stand in. I can do my grocery shopping at 99 Ranch and get some to go dim sum from here for lunch when I leave. Shu mai was great. Har kow was just OK. Spare ribs with squash was very good. Fried pork dumpling (hom sui gok) was great. Stuffed eggplant was good, but a little oily. Sticky rice in a leaf was great also. Turnip cake (lo bak go) was good. I would happily grab some more to go after my grocery shopping everytime.
Loves Dumpling House 梁妈妈手工水饺
This Chinese dumpling restaurant is a true gem! The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The menu offers an impressive variety of dumplings, catering to both traditional and adventurous tastes. Each dumpling is beautifully crafted, with ultra-thin wraps that perfectly hold the flavorful soup inside. The balance of textures and rich fillings make every bite a delight. Whether you're a dumpling enthusiast or just exploring, this spot is a must-visit for an authentic and satisfying dining experience.
It is really hard for me to post this review because I really want to gate keep the best soup dumplings in Houston. And probably the best I've personally had. They've only been open for just under a month but I am already imagining myself as a regular because I WILL be back for those dumplings. Maybe even tomorrow. I really wanted to try the thumb buns as well! The service was great and so surprised how quickly everything came out. Aside from the soup dumplings, we got chicken fried rice and braised pork dumplings. The portion of rice is huge! Great for sharing! The braised pork had great flavor but I was kind of hopping the filling was shredded; instead it was cubed. Everything was great, checking in here and there to make sure we were okay. Loved it all. Again, I Can't wait to go back!
Rice Bowl
Rice Bowl is absolutely amazing! The service was incredibly fast, and the food is priced so reasonably for the quality you get. Hands down, this is the best Chinese food we’ve had in Katy, TX. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick and delicious meal at a great value. We’ll definitely be coming back!
This place has been my go-to for a cheap dinner that fills me with nostalgia. Your typical Chinese takeout. I almost always get orange chicken. And I really liked their veggie lo mein. I enjoy their egg rolls, and their cream cheese puffs are delicious. My boyfriend especially loves the chefs special fried rice. I've never had a negative experience with ordering here. Service is always friendly and nice, making sure you have everything you need. Great prices!!
Cafe Asian
The worst food. Fried rice is just rice a little bit of egg and soy sauce. Had an after taste that was not rice. Ordered sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken. Opened styrofoam container to find little balls of deep fried, I don’t know what oil, pork and chicken coated in flour batter. Couldn’t tell which was which, not marked. In any case both tasted terrible. In small plastic container watery pink taste like sugar water.
Best Fried Rice that I’ve ever had. I know the picture might not show the true justice it deserves. But it doesn’t need to look like a 5 star plate. As long as it taste amazing, that’s all that matters. I drive from the Woodlands to Katy just for this.
China Cottage
We used to come here regularly when we lived in Katy but we moved out of town. Recently, my co-workers have brought me back here and I quickly remembered why we loved this place. The food is consistently very tasty and served quickly. The staff is also very friendly and extremely attentive. My go-to dish is General Tso’s chicken but the Mala Chicken and Hunan Chicken are great as well. While other restaurants raise their prices all the time, this place stay very affordable.
It’s been about a little bit over a year since I’ve been to this place not sure if they got bought out but not the same food. This is the most disgusting Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life and I am 47 years old. Overpriced I highly recommend not to waste your money on this place we ordered sesame, chicken, beef, and broccoli combination fried rice, and some eggrolls they gave us complementary craft puffs That they should’ve just kept because there was no craft puff in it
Hong Kong's Cafe
Food & service was amazing. Would definitely come back!! Best thing was the sweet & sour chicken! We ordered the pan fried chicken dumplings, fried & steamed rice, beef lo mein & sweet & sour chicken.
Great Asian food. The place is clean, excellent customer service and prices are reasonable. This is one of my go to restaurant for Chinese as they have a consistent quality and taste. Will definitely recommend.
Jin Yuan Cafe
Best pan fried soup dumplings in town! Be warned, there is lots of juice inside each dumpling and it is piping hot. Don’t burn your tongue. It is worth the thirty minute drive here. I also liked the green scallion noodle.
Newly opened restaurant in the food court of 99 ranch. Really authentic Shanghainese noodles and pan fried buns with friendly staff and a window where you can watch them make the food fresh. The pan fried buns are freshly made so there’s a 10-15 minute wait but it’s definitely worth it! The scallion oil soy sauce noodle is definitely worth a try as well.
Tiger Noodle House
So glad we found Tiger Noodle House! Safe gluten free options! Kids love their orange chicken! Always a treat when we get to go!!!
Totally amazed at the quantity of food. Was surprised to see the seafood options they had. Will be back soon
Spicy House
4.5 stars: I really liked the good beef stir fry noodle. Stir fry rice cakes were pretty good too. Wonton chip complimentary at the start of meal and fortune cookie at the end is a cute touch. Entree items come with rice. Soup dumplings were ok, not too special so I’d probably skip that next time. Salt and pepper shrimp was ok too, better than the soup dumplings but I wish they cooked the onion more.
We ordered Ma bo tofu, Singapore noodle and sautéed lamb with cumin. Good presentation, fresh and moderate potion (dine in 2 people, and bring to go home some left). Served with steamed white rice on side. Personally a bit salty, otherwise I’ll put five stars.
Uncle Chin's Kitchen
I can't recommend this place enough—hands down the best dining experience I've had in Katy! Our group ordered 5-6 different dishes, including a few appetizers, and every single one exceeded expectations. The flavors were fantastic, and the presentation was spot-on. What really set this place apart, though, was the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The highlight of the night was getting to see Uncle Chin himself perform a few songs, and he even invited our group to join in for some karaoke fun! It was such a personal, interactive experience that made the evening even more memorable. I’ll definitely be back with more friends and family. This place offers everything you want in a dining experience—great food, incredible hospitality, and entertainment that truly brings people together. Don’t miss out on this gem in Katy!
Everything about this place is great! Uncle Chin is so nice! When he's not busy, he greets guests and even sings us a song. He's got a great voice, but his food is even better. We've tried many, and all are delicious!
Shabu Town
When we entered the the restaurant, it was very clean. We were see it by the hostess who was very very nice. Our first impression was that there was so much variety and that the place was very clean. There's a wide variety of vegetables and seafood. And if you want meet they will bring it out as you need it. That's all-you-can-eat at one price. I highly recommend. It was very delicious. You can customize your own sauce and broth if you want. And everyone gets their own hot pot which is very unique. Most other hot pot places I've been to have one huge pot in the middle of the table. It is family-friendly and very inviting. Me and my friends had a wonderful time. Lunch is about $22 a person and dinner is about $32 a person. But it is all you can eat. And it's worth it.
Thursday night was a nice calm night to come to this place. The service was very nice and attentive. The grilling side was more crowded than the hot pot side, but the hot pot side is much larger. They have a large room for parties in the back that could probably hold about 30+ people.
Pho Oh Yeah
I tried for the first tonight. I loved the Chicken Pho! Also had the Shrimp Tempura appetizer and the Beef Fried Rice. Of course I am taking much home; at least several meals worth! Very nice staff. Go check it out for yourself!!!
Pho Oh Yeah is one of the few restaurants that we try to visit at least once a month if not every other month. The restaurant is very clean with great ambience. Service is also prompt and friendly. The portion size is extremely generous! You will definitely not leave hungry 😊 We tend to choose from the noodle soups when it comes to the menu. One of these days, we'll have to start trying out all the other rice and vermicelli dishes. House special pho: Generous amount of meats and veggies. Most importantly, the broth was perfectly seasoned. Bun bo hue: This is our go to dish! Well seasoned and not too spicy. Perfect amount of meats, pork hocks, and blood cakes. Bun Rieu Cua: This is a specialty Vietnamese dish that may be a bit difficult to find outside of Chinatown. It's a noodle soup with tomatoes, pork, minced crab, and tofu. Very flavorful and delicious! Pho Oh Yeah is definitely one of the top 3 Pho Restaurants here in the Katy area. This is coming from someone who is Vietnamese and has lived in Katy for almost 20 years. Highly recommend for anyone to try out!
