China Inn Cafe 7
Very good food. We usually take to go, but we decided to eat at the restaurant tonight and we weren't disappointed. The owner is very friendly and took good care of us. The jasmine tea was wonderful, and the dishes were beautiful. The food is always delicious.
I had a great to-go dinner from them. The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes, including egg rolls, hot and sour soup, orange chicken and sesame chicken, and every single one was delicious. The flavors were bold and savory, and the portions were very generous to say the least. The chicken was a great balance where there wasn't too much batter and the chicken wasn't tiny and the fortune cookies at the end were the perfect sweet treat. I've been to a lot of American Chinese restaurants but they stands out from the crowd. Will come back and try more of the menu!
Tsukiji Fusion Sushi - Katy
We found our new sushi spot. My boyfriend and I came for dinner on a Friday. Omg! Hands down one of the best sushi places in the Houston metro. Hidden gem. We ordered the Pikachu roll, Mermaid roll, Magic roll, and two spicy scallop rolls. The lychee sake is delicious. Will definitely be back. Ask for Kay!
Yet another amazing night. Don't pass this gem up. Pages of sushi rolls, and please order the stuffed crab jalapeno's for the appetizer. The sushi martini is also amazing.
Vietnam Bistro
We stopped by on a Monday night. There were two other tables already dining when we arrived. The waitress greeted us right away and took our drink order right after we sat down. We had an order of the spicy pork dumplings to start. The texture was excellent and the flavor was just right. Definitely recommend ordering them. For our meal we both got the Pho with round steak and lean well done brisket. I squeezed some siracha and added some fresh jalapenos and a squeeze of lime. It was piping hot with fantastic flavor. The decor was rather plain although the light fixtures were nice and they had 3 TV's playing different video loops. It's in a strip center so hard to make the space stand out. Our check came out to $38 which included two Cokes. I would definitely recommend giving it a try! Plus it's right next door to Buc-ees!
I get so excited when i have a variety of food in one plate. I came hungry and ordered jasmine rice with grilled pork, steamed pork cake and pork chop 𤤠ofcourse, i left nothing on my plate!š it was an amazing treat to my growling tummy! My husband also enjoyed his pho, warmth to his belly. Staff was very attentive and professional. Im so glad we discovered this bistro, first time here and i can't wait to come back!š¤ā¦But!!! 2hrs after, definitely had to come back, wish it was to dine again but we accidentally left our card š thanks to the staff for keeping it safe šš»š
Shanghai
I took a 40 minute trip in order to get this food and was not disappointed! I called my order in and by the time I got there it was hot and ready. I got the beef broccoli and general Tso, I got a chance to take a picture of the beef broccoli but the general Tso was almost gone by the time I thought of taking a pictureš if you LOVE spice Iād recommend getting the most hot for general Tso since the medium hot is just a bit sweet and spicy, you feel the spiciness right after. I also got the egg drop soupā¦I missed having a good good egg drop soup! The lady was so nice and funny I highly recommend this place.
Our meal was okay. We ordered eggdrop soup, wonton soup, chicken lettuce wraps and chicken with cashews. First, the delivery was almost 1 hour! Chinese delivery never takes that long. Second, the wonton soup showed up as hot and sour soup. The guy who took our order over the phone repeated the order saying āhot and sour soupā. Even though I corrected him, it was still wrong. Iām not a fan of hot and sour soup, so that was disappointing to receive the wrong item. Third, they use a ton of onions in their dishes. That usually indicates filler and you get less meat. Iām not a fan of onions, so that was another disappointment. The eggdrop soup was good and the eggrolls were decent. First and last time we will order from here. What a shame.
Shogun
Hereās what Iād write: Rating: ā ā āāā Walked in, and the strong smell of bleach hit me like a freight train. I get that they had just opened, but it was overpowering. Unfortunately, the waitress didnāt help mattersāshe looked and smelled like last nightās party followed her to work. The spicy edamame? Not so spicy and definitely missing some love in the seasoning department. On the bright side, the sushi roll had great presentation, but looks can only carry you so far. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for.
This place was the most unorganized establishment I have eaten at in a long time. They donāt have a clear system in place for waiting for a table or when hibachi chefs come to cook for which table. Due to how busy they were they over sat tables so I was shoulder to shoulder with the person to my left and right. Once sat at the table, the service was nothing to brag about. I witnessed several people having to ask for the same item multiple times before receiving. Additionally, I noticed that the grill at my table was indeed broken in two different spots (which doesnāt make sense to have broken grills if you are over seating people at tables they should have the money to fix it) The food had way to much butter and overall not enough flavor. The steak that was requested to be medium was more like well done and way too tough.
Hunan Chef
Shrimps are overcooked, not enough of a variety of fresh salads and raw seafood, to heavy cook for me... I'll prefer to go to Hibachi Grill instead because of limited options on healthy and fresh food.
Hunan Chef: A Buffet Lover's Paradise Hunan Chef is a must-visit for buffet enthusiasts! The vast selection of dishes, from savory stir-fries to delectable seafood, will leave you spoiled for choice. The restaurant is always bustling with activity, a testament to its popularity. The clean and inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly service, makes for a delightful dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply looking for a satisfying meal, Hunan Chef is sure to impress.
Cafe Chopstix
This was the most disgusting beef and broccoli i have EVER experienced the flavor and the texture was off. As soon as it touched my tongue I gagged and threw the food away š®. Almost positive it wasnāt beef. The rice also wasnāt edible who up charges for brown rice ? Waste of $15
I stumbled across this spot by chance, and Iām so glad I did! While there are several locations around Houston, each is independently owned, and this one truly stands out. Years ago, my family and I had a favorite go-to near Almeda Mall, and it was our Friday night tradition. They served this incredible dish called Singapore Chicken or Shrimp, and we couldnāt get enough of it. Unfortunately, after Hurricane Harvey, that location closed, and Iāve been searching for that same unforgettable flavor ever since. After trying a few spots, I finally found the Westheimer location that had the dish! But the distance made it a rare treat. Then, to my surprise, I discovered this gem right off I-10, just minutes from my job. They call it Triple Spicy Chicken or Shrimp here, and let me tell you...itās amazing! The spice level is just right (though I like to kick it up with extra hot oil and sriracha), and itās served with broccoli and your choice of fried or white rice...I always go for white. Their portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is top-notch. This location is small, with just a few tables for dining in, but the atmosphere is warm, and the staff treats every customer like family. I usually order to-go for office lunches or a quick dinner on my way home, and it never disappoints. If youāre in the area, donāt miss out on this spot! Give it a try and tell them this review sent you š
The Rice Box
My cool factor went up just being here. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Entrees come with egg roll and rice (steamed white or fried). The wings were some of the best Iāve had. The vegetables were still fresh and viable, even though cooked. The noodles were cooked perfectly. Iām a huge carbonated water fan and they have still and fizzy water taps. TAPS! I wasnāt a fan of the seating situation - low and high bar stools - especially since they donāt even have hooks to hang a purse. The murals and paintings - inside and outside - are beautiful. We chose this location because of a better parking situation. Iām sure all RBs are just as good as the experience off I-10.
I was planning to visit another branch of Rice Box, but when I heard that this location was opening today, I decided to wait and visit as soon as it opened. The exterior of the restaurant was spacious, and the parking lot was clean and well-maintained. Inside, the interior design was incredibly unique and eye-catching. From the moment I stepped in, the staff greeted me warmly. Among them, the manager, Dylan, stood out for being exceptionally friendly and providing a detailed explanation of the menu. I went with one of Dylanās recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was delicious, and the portion size was much larger than I expected, so I ended up taking some to-go. If I had to mention one minor downside, itās that the food was a bit on the salty side. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and Iām already looking forward to my next visit!
North China Restaurant
We checked out North China after some friends raved about it, and wow, they werenāt kiddingāit was fantastic! From the second we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. They were super friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right without hovering. You could tell they genuinely cared, which made the whole experience even better. We tried the San Dong Tofu, the Pong Lai Beef, and the crab puffs. Let me tell you, the flavors were on point. The tofu had this perfect texture and was loaded with flavor, and the beef was crispy and tasty. Every bite was a winnerāhonestly, it was hard to pick a favorite between the two. The atmosphere was great too. It felt cozy and inviting, the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy a good meal without any fuss. Whether youāre going out with family, catching up with friends, or even just craving a solid dinner, this place has you covered. Bottom line: North China is def worth the visit. Great food, awesome service, and a chill vibe. Weāre already planning our next trip back to try more dishes. Highly recommend!
This place was delicious! We were seated right away! The food was fast. Everyone was super friendly. Anita was our waitresses. I haven't had pepper steak and rice in ages. Myvhusband had the sesame chicken. This was authentic and fresh. Not too much either. I would highly recommend
Hunan Inn
Delicious! I used to frequent this place years ago before I started doing reviews. Theyāve still got it! The atmosphere is a little dark, but that doesnāt personally bother me. Itās a good mood setting when you want quiet time. Classical music plays overhead and itās a nice escape from hustle and bustle of every day. The service is fantastic. My tea was never below 1/2 full. I started with the eggdrop soup which was very good. For my entree, I had the sesame chicken with fried rice. The meal comes with an eggroll. Everything was wonderful. Thatās probably the best sesame chicken Iāve ever had! The eggroll is perfectly fried and crispy. I forgot why this place was a favorite of mine so many years ago. Glad I visited today. The dining area is small, with about 12-13 tables. It gets busy during the lunch rush. I went for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed this almost forgotten gem. I miss the fun placemats they used to have on the tables. āYear of theā rabbit, dog, sheep, etc. They were fun to read, but they no longer have those. The restaurant is very Chinese decorated. Itās a nice little spot. $10.80 before tip. Great value! Donāt skip this place!
This is a best kept secret. The lunch specials are very well priced. You get your entree, a spring roll, and a small soup. The dinner portions are generous. I never spend more than 15 dollars on a visit and leave full. The manager is usually grumpy, but I go for food.
StoneAge
Highly recommend this place! Food is delicious and you get to cook it at your table. As soon as you come in the door, you get hit with the smell of delicious smell of food in the air. The flavor of the food is delicious, it is so mouth watering as soon as it gets to the table. The bulgogi Mac and cheese is š¤¤.
Great atmosphere, great service. Itās Korean cuisine with a twist. We cooked our food on a stone, the meat was good quality and tasty.
Teriyaki Madness
Not really sure why this place has bad reviews. I've been here a couple times at different times of the day and food is always super fresh and delicious š the staff is also super welcoming ! Place is also clean bathrooms are clean as well and to be honest this place really kind of set the bar for me in regards to chicken teriyaki! Just wanted to say thank you to the front staff and kitchen staff this place deserves more than 4 stars !!!
On the first pic my chicken breast was burnt and dried out. When I brung up the issue.. I was told "it's either going to be raw or well because of the thickness". The second bowl is the remake. So apparently they just took the meat off and used the same base. Bases were cold, pieces had no flavor and was still dry! Food was horrible! If this was my first time trying this restaurant, it would be my last!!
