Asian Kitchen
Great little shop inside 99 Ranch. You can get some good traditional dim sum here at a decent price. I'm used to NYC dim sum, and I've missed it; thankfully this place is a pretty decent stand in. I can do my grocery shopping at 99 Ranch and get some to go dim sum from here for lunch when I leave. Shu mai was great. Har kow was just OK. Spare ribs with squash was very good. Fried pork dumpling (hom sui gok) was great. Stuffed eggplant was good, but a little oily. Sticky rice in a leaf was great also. Turnip cake (lo bak go) was good. I would happily grab some more to go after my grocery shopping everytime.
Taste of China 湘浙汇
The food is very good. I ate more than I thought I would consume. I will definitely come back to eat again. Bing Chilling
I had an amazing experience at Taste of China! The Kung Pao Chicken was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and with just the right amount of spice. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, leaving me more than satisfied. The servers were so kind and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. On top of that, the restaurant was spotless, which made the whole experience even better. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes! Highly recommend!
Sugr Wok
I was in the Katy area at Holistique Healing Spa two doors down to get massasge therapy for tension headache. The therapist, May, walked me over next door after my session to Sugr Wok Asian Food as she said a hot soup will also help with my headache. I got the wonton soup and I wasn't expecting much as it's just wonton soup. But actually I really liked my soup! It was really fresh and not oily and not too much salt. I ordered shrimp to add to my soup and it had the wonton dumplings and vegetables ..so good and refreshing. The owners were really friendly and easy to talk to. They gave me a small sampler plate of my favorites..1 each of crab rangoon, a fried dumpling, and a custard cake. My soup came out fairly quickly. As far as the restaurant floor itself, everything was clean and tidy. The soup was the perfect end to my morning errands. I want to go back before I fly back home to try their other food. This is a fairly new restaurant, two months old, I hope more people stop by and check Tim and family's cooking out!
Second visit, again I was not disappointed. The food and portions are amazing. You will not go home hungry. Food is awesome they will even kick it up a notch if you want it spicy. Customer service was Spectacular. The food portion is enough to take for lunch the next day. Definitely will have to try other items on the menu soon. 😋
Beijing Ranch
Food was disgusting 🤢. Bland at best. Only got about 5 shrimps in my lo mein. Sauce taste weird. But the service was great. The place is dark and tasteless. This place dropped the ball. Paid over $50 bucks and didn't even finish nothing but the crab puffs.
Beijing Ranch has truly become a standout authentic Chinese restaurant in the Katy area. The 40-minute drive from my house is undoubtedly worth it, as the flavors and dishes evoke a sense of nostalgia from my childhood in China. The cucumber peanut dish is reminiscent of the familiar tastes of my past, evoking cherished memories. The dumplings, crafted in a distinct northeastern style, boast textured skins, generous portions of meat, and a delightful addition of dry shrimp for freshness, resulting in an immensely flavorful and delicious experience. As someone celebrating Chinese New Year away from home, the meal brought back memories of festive celebrations in China. The sour soup with pork belly and clear noodles was spot-on, capturing the essence of traditional flavors. The impeccable service provided by Emily, the owner, added to the overall experience. Her attention to detail and extensive knowledge enhanced our dining experience. She anticipated our needs before we even expressed them, making the evening seamless and enjoyable. Despite feeling full, the delectable offerings compelled me to continue savoring the dishes throughout the night. This hidden gem in Katy, discovered through a friend's birthday celebration, has left me feeling blessed to have such an authentic northeastern restaurant in the area. I look forward to returning again and again. Highly recommended. 👏 Greatly appreciates 🙏
Michy's Chino Boricua
I had a fantastic dining experience at this lovely restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The highlight of my visit was definitely the service — my cashier, Eder, was exceptionally kind and patient. Eder made sure all my questions were answered and that I felt taken care of throughout the experience. It's rare to encounter such a friendly and thoughtful staff member, and it truly enhanced the overall experience. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this spot to friends and family! I paid 10$ and it was so much food and it came with French fries wich I didn’t know
It was my first time trying Michy's and I was very satisfied with the customer service and the portions were amazing for what you pay. I didn't get the employees name but he helped me go through the menu and I ended up going with the vegetable Lol mein & broccoli steak and he even put in a free item in my order which was really nice of him! I'm definitely going to be back to try some of their other items ☺️
Urban Thai Kitchen
Visited Urban Thai on 12/28/24 and had a wonderful experience. The red curry was absolutely delicious – perfectly balanced flavors and the spice level was just right. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere . Highly recommend!
The flavors in the food are really superb. I have had a lot of Thai food. This has a flair that is just super. For those that do t like much spice even the mild is a little spicy but not over the top. Medium was also just a little more. I did not go higher because of who I was with. Flavors were very apparent. Desert we had the mango sticky rice with some purple pea flower. Wow really good. Service was excellent with great conversation with Ann telling us about the origin with Urban Thai street food as we watched the videos on TV preparing in Thailand. Check it out. If you love Thai food this will be a special treat because it is a step above!
Sushi 9
Came here for some sister time to celebrate my Big sis birthday. It was a quick outing, wasn't planned far in advance. She choose this spot on a whim. The time we had was great. Server was very nice & accommodating. Food was just okay. It was all you can eat dinner menu. My phone was on 2% so I don't have many photos. That's all I have on this spot.
DID I COME HERE ON A BAD DAY?? Or are all the reviews questionably good as if they’re made up? I came here for my first time after reading all of the positive reviews. I’m not sure what people are talking about. I’ve had way better sushi at the grocery store than here. AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, I ordered a hand roll and found some plastic wrap INSIDE MY ROLL!? What the heck. I AM JUST going to say this place was my first and last time to visit.
Tiger Noodle House
Completely amazed by the flavourful Chinese food and feeling bad to have been missing out on this spot for so long! We ordered garlic eggplant, schezwan chicken and chicken fried rice, which was most enjoyed by our toddler. Eggplant was very flavourful and not sweet like some places make it. Chicken schezwan is more of dry kind of appetisers dish rather than semi-wet consistency that one would expect to pair with rice, overall enjoyed the food here
It was really good I like this place the food it’s good and they serve a lot of food each portion
Grand Imperial Chinese Restaurant
My husband and I dropped in for lunch and ate off their lunch special menu. It is a lot of food. Both of us got a bowl of soup. I had the hot & sour soup, it was very good. It actually had a little kick to it as well as the sour taste, which I like. I had the lunch portion of pork with green beans - very fresh and it had the right amount of garlic 🧄. Very tasty! Happy to find a place that has the fresh green bean stir fry! My husband had the egg drop soup and orange chicken with fried rice, which he also said was great - and he wasn’t able to eat it all. A great value for sure hard to find anymore!
This has been my go to Chinese food spot for years! They always serve good fresh food! They deliver too so it's so convenient. If I go in for pickup it's always quick and fresh and the restaurant has a beautiful ambiance to dine in as well. Love this place so much! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but my usual is china town stir fry, med spicy, extra shrimp and low sodium. Love that they give you those options when ordering online too. It's so simple to order pickup or delivery. Have nothing bad to say at all!!
Ly's Kitchen
I recently had my first amazing halal experience at this Chinese restaurant, and it did not disappoint! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served warm, making for a truly satisfying meal. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and I loved how authentic yet unique the dishes tasted. It's rare to find a place that combines great halal options with such delicious Chinese flavors. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Had a fantastic dinner experience at Imperial Pho in Katy! The food was delicious and fresh, and the service was welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxing dine-in meal. Highly recommend and will definitely return!
China Express
Amazing food, very good servings and prices are affordable! I love how all the food has a slight kick and was served in matter of minutes. Chow mein is amazing 👏. Would really recommend.
My wife & I just got a takeout from this place after a quick trip to WalMart; we'd been getting menu brochures from this place on our house door from time to time and decided to give them a try. The food was VERY FRESH and well prepared, absolutely delicious. Much, MUCH better than the other nearby Chinese Restaurants in the area we'd been getting take outs in recent past. This place will be our primary go-to location for good, delicious Chinese food from now on.
Shogun
Here’s what I’d write: Rating: ★★☆☆☆ Walked in, and the strong smell of bleach hit me like a freight train. I get that they had just opened, but it was overpowering. Unfortunately, the waitress didn’t help matters—she looked and smelled like last night’s party followed her to work. The spicy edamame? Not so spicy and definitely missing some love in the seasoning department. On the bright side, the sushi roll had great presentation, but looks can only carry you so far. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for.
This place was the most unorganized establishment I have eaten at in a long time. They don’t have a clear system in place for waiting for a table or when hibachi chefs come to cook for which table. Due to how busy they were they over sat tables so I was shoulder to shoulder with the person to my left and right. Once sat at the table, the service was nothing to brag about. I witnessed several people having to ask for the same item multiple times before receiving. Additionally, I noticed that the grill at my table was indeed broken in two different spots (which doesn’t make sense to have broken grills if you are over seating people at tables they should have the money to fix it) The food had way to much butter and overall not enough flavor. The steak that was requested to be medium was more like well done and way too tough.
