China River
Oh i give this place a 10/10!! I ordered here for the first time and let me tell you , food i was AMAZING! I ordered Togo and it was still piping hot when we got home. The food tasted SO delicious. And the pricing isn’t bad for the proportions at all!! Every affordable. I will definitely be coming back Edit: I’ve eaten multiple times takeout and I definitely wanted to try it dine in. So I took my family and we absolutely loved it!! I always got take out during dinner and I never realized the prices were so cheap! Definitely will be my to go to Chinese spot!
My husband and I went here since we were in the mood for Chinese food. It was our first time coming here. We decided to try a little bit of everything so we got appetizers, main dishes, and dessert. The service was friendly and decent. They have these really neat placemats that have the Chinese zodiacs on it. It was entertaining us while we waited for our food. We really liked the wonton soup, the dumplings, the fried rice, and the general tso chicken. We were pleasantly surprised with the portions! They were really large plates and left us more than satisfied. This is a solid place to go to for Chinese food and we'll probably come back in the future 👍🏽
The Monk’s Indian Bistro
Monk's has been my top choice for Indian cuisine in Houston for quite some time, so when they opened a location in Humble, I couldn’t have been more excited. Fortunately, the experience has lived up to expectations every single time. The restaurant offers a fantastic selection of dishes, all bursting with bold, authentic flavors. The Indo-Chinese style fried rice and noodles are standout options, each bite as flavorful as the last. The biryanis are perfectly spiced and incredibly aromatic, and I can’t recommend the non-veg starters enough — they’re consistently outstanding. For a refreshing finish, the mango lassi and masala tea are both excellent choices. The servers are always friendly and accommodating, making the overall dining experience even better. Monk’s in Humble has quickly become my go-to spot for satisfying, high-quality Indian food in the area. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you're sure to be impressed.
Our experience at the monks in the bistro was outstanding. This is our first time here and the restaurant was clean very well lit and an atmosphere suitable for business meetings during the week or brunch in the afternoon on the weekend.
Buffetopia
This was a good joint. The servers were friendly and prompt with the drinks. They are very busy but make you feel like you’re the only one in the room. Service is 5 star. They have a great variety of food. My only complaint is that the food is bland. The food has great presentation but needs more flavor. I loved the hibachi and deserts. Other than that, this was a great place.
The staff is efficient and provides excellent service. The food is quite good, but the cake flavors could be improved. Since it’s newly opened, there’s a large crowd—even during non-peak afternoon hours, the line is still long. They offer snow crab legs on weekends, but if that’s not a priority for you, visiting on a weekday might be a better option. The number of customers exceeds the restaurant’s capacity, so food takes longer to arrive, and the crowded space makes it easier to bump into others. Other than that, it’s perfect!
Pho Dien 1960
The pho’s broth was decent but lacked the rich, aromatic fragrance I was hoping for. On the other hand, the vermicelli combo was quite good—the grilled meat was flavorful and well-cooked. I also really enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee. It was strong and perfectly complemented by the sweetness of condensed milk. I think the pho at V-Bistro is much better.
Great little place. Had a lunch special that came with a medium Pho bowl and choice of Vietnamese egg or spring rolls. I got both spring and egg rolls for a small extra charge as well. See pics. Pic is minus the one spring roll I had already eaten. And also the egg and spring rolls came with a slice of tomato and cucumber on a piece of lettuce but ate that too. (Sorry. Not. Lol). I got the special Pho bowl. Wow amazingly delicious food. Nice attentive staff and quaint dining room.
