Café Ginger
One of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been too. I highly recommend the chicken with egg plant (not pictured). It's one of the best dishes I've had and I'm not a big egg plant fan normally. The Orange beef was really good but I recommend it as a family style dish. The spicy dumplings and noodles were both good appetizers. The art work and design for this restaurant are incredible. One of the best designed interiors I have even seen. The service was very good and professional. I definitely will be back.
We were just in the neighborhood around lunch time and found this place to be close and with good reviews. It is now my favorite place for sushi in Houston! The food presentation was beautiful and the quality and freshness of the sushi and sashimi were exceptional. More affordable than many other sushi places too. Great service can’t say enough about Cafe Ginger!
Triple Pepper 川三椒
I really liked eating at Triple Pepper! It's in the same plaza/location as the old Pepper Twins in this area, and I think it's considerably better. The service staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is very nice, and the food was excellent. For main dishes, we had two pork dishes - the twice-cooked pork and the pork with preserved mustard greens. For veggies, we had the dry-fried green beans. The twice-cooked pork and dry-fried green beans are classic go-tos for me at Sichuan places, and these definitely lived up to my expectations - very flavorful. The pork with preserved mustard greens was a surprise hit - the pork belly was soft and the mustard greens and seasoning were excellent, especially mixed in with rice. I definitely plan to come back!
The atmosphere is great, making it an ideal spot for hosting guests. The presentation of the dishes is done with great care and attention to detail. The food is delicious, and my personal favorite is the dish with century eggs, which is absolutely outstanding. I also highly recommend the dry pot pork intestines and stir-fried green beans. The environment is clean, and the background music is relaxing, adding to the overall dining experience. Additionally, the service is excellent, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring everything runs smoothly. Whether you're looking for a place to treat friends or simply enjoy a high-quality meal, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. Every aspect, from the ambiance to the food, music, and service, reflects a commitment to quality. Highly recommended!
Beijing Garden
I don't have r anything negative to say about this place. Good is always fresh , I recommend the Orange Chicken, and if you don't like it with a mild bite just ask for no spice. But I get it as is and it's just superb 👌 always fresh right from the pan . So yes it's really hot 🔥 when it arrives to the table. The people there are friendly . It is a bit crowded with the tables however that's easily managed and easy to overlook. Prices are with in reason as well nothing to crazy . This is my to go place when my son comes to visit .
I have to say, whenever coming to Beijing Gardens, whether it be for lunch or dinner; I have never been disappointed in any way. What a lovely experience. The ambiance is serene and subdued, with authentic Asian tunes playing in the background and a tastefully decorated space. The service is excellent. Today, our waiter, Michael, was helpful, diligent in making sure our needs were met, and was a very entertaining fellow who was a pleasure to talk with. The food was excellent. Not over spiced, and dietary instructions were followed to the letter. Our appetizer, the fried dumplings were delicious, and our entrees followed suit. We left very satisfied. The serving of a hot pot of complimentary Asian tea with homemade fried noodles and duck sauce made the experience complete. We drive a distance to enjoy Bejing Gardens, but it is always worth the trip.
