Pepper Salt
This This is a great little spot! The food was super tasty, and I’m surprised I hadn’t discovered it sooner. The Cajun fried rice was even better than I expected—perfectly spicy for my taste. The guy at the counter was really friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly after I ordered. The restaurant is small with only about four or five tables but there was only one other couple there, so we were good. Can’t wait to go back and try something else!
Pepper Salt was a delightful accidental find. I was actually searching for another restaurant but came across its glowing reviews and decided to check out the menu. Intrigued, I placed an order through Uber Eats, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, General Tso’s Chicken, and Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings—yes, a lot of chicken dishes, but no regrets here! Each item was flavorful, with just the right balance of seasoning, and the portions were generous. Everything was carefully packed, which kept the food fresh and intact during the 15-minute journey to my home. I’m excited to try more items on their menu in the future, but it’s great to know there’s a local gem like Pepper Salt serving up such amazing food. Highly recommend supporting this spot if you’re in the area.
JJ Garden
JJ Garden was just about a decent experience and it looks nicer from the outside. When you walk inside, you walk straight through the majority of the tables on the way to the register. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it does inhibit the space of others eating. The menu is put well together and is priced appropriately and so I'll award credit for that. I ordered the Tangy and Spicy Chicken, and it was that, but the taste was faint and at least to me it was not spicy. With that entrée comes both a soup and a egg roll or spring roll. I got the hot and sour soup and a spring roll. The soup was not watery but it also wasn't the most flavorful, and so as a result I'll dub it a "solid" soup. The spring roll was better than the soup and I would also describe it as solid, but it's also very basic and I could call it mass produced. In regards to the food I might be a bit biased, but this is still just an opinion. The last note I'll add is on the service. The food came out within 10ish minutes of being order and was hot. All and all, I'd recommend this only to those residing near it and those looking for a quick and cheap lunch meal.
Trying to escape back out of town from NRG traffic after a Texans win over Steelers and remembered this place that we never had been to. OMG really great flavors and sauces with every dish. Everyone was happy and full during the 3 hour trip back home. We'll stop again next trip! Give them a try 😉
Panda Express
It always smells so good in there but is similar to a All Day buffet without the second portions. This was the worst place that I have ever tried Chinese rice. It had no color no flavor it was soggy and tasted nothing like Chinese rice I will never eat there again people were having to wait 17 minutes for their food because they were letting it run out before putting fresh food out
I came here mid day like around 1:30 I sat and read the menu. Because it was my first time there. No one explained it even said hello as I walked in. This is my order coconut shrimp with fried rice I got mushroom chicken in the side to which I asked the server if it was more she didn’t respond I found out when I checked out it was. I didn’t want to be rude so I keep it even though it cut extra. I watched the young woman make my food she was young black girl. she blatantly scooped these pieces of chicken into mushroom bowel did not care one bit! It takes 2 seconds to remove what does not belong that was bad customer service to me because how would you feel if it was you on top of giving me sub par portions of the shrimp won’t be coming back I should have just went to salata!!!! The rice was stale and the shrimp was flavorless horrible
Happy Lamp
I have never been, but a neighborhood fan favorite, and I can see why. My husband actually liked the combo fried rice better than P. King. I got Happy Family, and egg rolls. Every thing was fresh, hot and tasty. We ate it next day and it held up well too. The shrimp they use are nice and fat. I would definitely order from here again.
Delicious! Affordable and the lunch special is the perfect deal! 100% recommended
Saba's Grill & Wok
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unforgettable Flavors! Best Ribeye Skewer Pita Ever! I just had the ribeye skewer pita with French fries at Saba’s Grill & Wok, and WOW—I’m still thinking about how delicious it was! The ribeye was incredibly juicy and tender, perfectly grilled, and packed with amazing flavor. The pita was soft and fresh, wrapping everything together beautifully. And let’s talk about the sauces—each one was an absolute game-changer! Every dip, every bite was bursting with next-level taste. The fries were crispy and seasoned just right, making the perfect side to an already incredible meal. If you’re looking for the best combination of flavor, quality, and freshness, this is the place to go. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
Overall pretty good place for Kosher food. My company needed catering from a Kosher establishment and Saba’s prepared really delicious food. The Owner named Natalie was cordial, straightforward, and practical. Place is clean and service is solid. Just be aware that they are not marked as closed during Jewish holidays. Call in advance before making a drive out here if you if you are not sure if they are open or not.
yaya rice box
Have been twice in the past month because it was that good! First time we dinned in and second time we picked up! Everything was delicious including their milk tea not pictured! Service is excellent. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. A new staple to the neighborhood and cannot wait to continue to try more things off the menu! 🤍
This is a new place, and wanting something different, I thought I’d come here for a light meal. What I got was a delicious meal with a portion large enough for four. I tried their Tofu Vegetable Mala Hot Pot. It’s quite spicy, and quite delicious. It’s a huge portion, meant to be shared. On a scale of 1 to 5 on the spiciness scale, I usually go for mild or medium (2 or 3). There were no options because the broth is prepared over hours, and I found the broth to have an intense flavor that I would rate as mild to medium spiciness - exactly what I look for. Once I took out the extra dried red peppers added as a garnish, I enjoyed every spoonful of this new flavor. I took a lot home to share and my wife liked it as well. Her tolerance for spiciness is a bit higher than mine, and together we like spicier than average foods. To see how they do with more common dishes, I took home their Combo fried rice dish and the flavors were superb. No spiciness and a different and richer flavor profile than I’m used to from other Chinese take outs. I would say that the flavor are almost addicting. While eating at the restaurant, there was a steady stream of customers getting their sweet drinks (Sparkling drinks, teas, smoothies and more.) I look forward to returning and tasting other items on the menu, and I wish for them to have great success. I am glad they opened up here.
