E-Star Asian Buffet
I recently visited E-Star Buffet, and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is exceptionally clean for a buffet, which isn’t always common. They maintain it well, making it feel more like a proper restaurant than a typical buffet. The food quality is excellent, with a variety of options, including fresh sushi. However, the customer service could use some improvement. The employees, especially those at the front desk, weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming, and I didn’t see many smiles. Overall, it’s a solid choice for quality food, but the staff could be a bit warmer.
New buffet restaurant. Attentive waitstaff. Beautiful interior and atmosphere. Huge selection of delicious food, chicken, beef, shrimp, fresh fruit and vegetables, steamed clams, crawfish. All very yummy.
Baobae
Absolutely the BEST vegetable dumplings and fried rice I’ve ever had—hands down! Every bite was packed with incredible flavor. And the shrimp? Out of this world! Juicy, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection. This new spot in the Mangum area is an absolute treasure. Don’t let it slip under your radar—it’s a must-try!
The Bo-Bo plate absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough about it. If you happen to be female, and it’s your time of the month, this plate will be your best friend. Their wonton soup is beautiful and tasty. We also loved all the mushrooms and the hot and sour. It is definitely a gem inthe neighborhood.
Thai Lanna
The best Thai restaurant in Houston, and maybe the world! The owner is an amazing chef, and an even more amazing person! Been eating here regularly for 5 years and will keep coming back.
Coconut soup was good, but my Pad Thai had NO SPICE! I'm not saying it wasn't spicy enough for me, I'm saying it taste like they forgot to add pepper. There may have been a remedy if I was eating-in, but this is definitely not the place for take out
