I’ve ordered here several times - good food. This is the cashew chicken. Yummy - wish there was more Chicken but still good.

Just no!!!! The noodles were very dry and stuck together. The shrimp was just not good at all. Waited 30 minutes in person and they were serving all the customers that ordered after me. I was like yeah that means I’m going to get some good food because the wait was so long. Ummmmm nope just no!!! Yuck never again. $17 wasted.

La Xanh is a hidden gem serving up serious noodle magic. The bún riêu is bright, tangy, and loaded with crab, tofu, and tomatoes—comfort in a bowl with a fresh herb kick. Feeling bold? Go for the bún mắm. It’s funky, rich, and totally unforgettable, packed with seafood, pork, and eggplant in a deep, fermented fish broth. Not for the shy, but oh-so-worth it. Warm vibes, killer broth.

i came early and was immediately greeted by a homey atmosphere. the service was fast, efficient, yet very kind, and the food was great! ordered bánh xèo - it was way bigger than i expected and the veggies were all very fresh with big serving.

I recently dined at this charming Vietnamese restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that made the space feel cozy yet modern. The staff was attentive and friendly, offering great suggestions and making sure we felt taken care of throughout the meal. We started with the fresh spring rolls, which were packed with herbs and shrimp and served with a perfectly balanced peanut sauce. The star of the night was the pho — rich, aromatic broth simmered to perfection, loaded with tender slices of beef and fresh toppings. You could tell it was made with care and tradition. The bun bo hue was another standout, spicy and deeply flavorful. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and sweet, just the way it should be. For dessert, the pandan waffle with coconut milk ice cream was a delicious surprise — crispy, fragrant, and light. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. This spot is a hidden gem and a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese food. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to all my friends and family!

December 2024 Love to support local small business. Enjoyed a flavorful egg noodle soup on a cool day. Great pricing and good portion. Will love to be back often.

Food is amazing every time. Small wait but food is always piping hot and fresh out of the kitchen. Amazing flavor. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and go. The basil fried rice with a little bit of spice is incredibly delicious!

The Blue Rat, nestled on the historic downtown square, is a hidden gem. I ordered the lunch chicken pad Thai, and it was excellent—perfect spice level without being overpowering. The restaurant’s atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and efficient. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back for more!

Nice, authentic Vietnamese food for good pricing with good portions. We got: grilled pork broken rice, grilled pork vermicelli, and bun bo hue. The bun bo hue was spicy, deep flavored broth with pork blood cubes which some places aren't giving anymore. The grilled pork for the vermicelli and broken rice was made well, not too hard and seasoned nicely. The egg roll was crispy but I wouldn't say it's the best I've had. Great place to come back for bun bo hue which they're definitely much more well known for.

People recommended me to come here for the bun Bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) . But I found it kind of bland and not enough lemon grass in there to give that burst of flavors . It was just another average place to me and so far Houston still has the best Bbh .

The pho is incredibly flavorful, with a rich broth and fresh ingredients. The spring rolls are a must-try, too. The service is friendly and attentive. If you’re craving genuine Vietnamese cuisine, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

August 2024 We haven’t been back for a long time. This is still one of best Pho around this area. Beef broth is smooth snd flavorful, can’t get enough. Great grilled pork plate as well. I believe the sliced pork was cooked to order. The only down side is the corridor to the bath room is heavy congested and dark. It was the store room for their dry goods. Storage space is the struggle with most restaurants in this area. I waited in the corridor to ensure my young daughter is safe visiting the girls room. If you can overlook that, this is a good place to have a great pho and Vietnamese food. My rating as 5 is very satisfied. Taste 5/5 Temperature 5/5 Speed of service 5/5 Attentive and Courteous 4/5 Cleanliness 2/5 Will I revisit? Yes Will I returned? Yes.

Stingy with everything I mean stingy as in only one sauce like duck sauce and one soy sauce per mean like come on its ridiculous af and then want to charge for more and food wasn't even that good so Wil be taken the drive to Elizabethtown next time there the best there and will make the drive from now on!!!

The people here are so nice and the food is freshly prepared. I gave it 3 stars for atmosphere only because it’s not the kind of place you go to hangout in for a meal. Just do takeout and enjoy.

Nam Hua is a fantastic spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Garland. We had a great experience dining here, starting with the spring rolls, which were fresh, light, and packed with flavor—the perfect way to kick off the meal. For mains, we ordered the salted fish fried rice and the Cơm Đặc Biệt, and both dishes delivered. The salted fish rice had that deep umami flavor and was well-balanced with perfectly cooked rice and a subtle savory kick. But the standout of the meal was definitely the Cơm Đặc Biệt. This dish was a flavorful combination of a juicy pork chop, a crispy fried egg, a savory egg patty, and chargrilled pork—all served with rice. Each component added its own texture and taste, coming together as a delicious, satisfying plate that hit every note. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and casual, making it an easy spot to relax and enjoy a comforting meal. Nam Hua delivers traditional flavors with generous portions and great value. We’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for authentic Vietnamese food done right!

February 2025 This restaurant is a hidden hot pot gem in garland. We came here just for the delicious goat hot pot and we enjoyed it tremendously. Aside from different hotpot, there are many authentic Vietnamese cuisine offered here. The vegetarian buffet line attracts a large crowd. Even though, the restaurant looked tired and beaten up, we overlooked the food offerings. My rating 5 id very satisfied Taste 5/5 Temperature 5/5 Attentiveness 5/5 Cleanliness 3/5 Speed of service 4/5 Will love to return soon.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best Chinese food in town! We ordered sesame chicken, beef lo mein, Mongolian beef, fried rice, and egg rolls, and every single bite was absolutely delicious. 😋 The sesame chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the beef lo mein was packed with flavor and tender beef. 🥡🍜 The Mongolian beef? 🔥 Mouthwatering, with a bold and savory sauce that hit all the right notes. The fried rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the egg rolls were crispy perfection. 🥢 The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the service was fast and friendly. This is our new go-to spot for Chinese cuisine! Highly recommend! 🥡🍴🎉

This is actually a good spot for Chinese food. It's clean, the food is good but not my fav shrimp with lobster sauce. I still haven't found a spot here that doesn't try to skip on the shrimps and add huge chunks of carrots, add veggies and it just ruins the flavor. Pepper steak, also not really one I would recommend. Combination fried rice is good and the portions are big. Service is top notch and the restaurant has plenty of seating. You order/pay sit down and they call your name to get your food.
