Bushi Bushi
My friends and I were hanging out for lunar new year and we got hungry. One of my friends, has never had soup dumplings and since we were in the area, we had to go here. I’ve been to another Bushi bushi and it was great. We ordered soup dumplings and other dim sum items, and entrees and family styled it. I think we ate with our eyes lol cause there was so much food. We ended up having some leftovers. All in all, we had a great time and good experience. Servers were great, attentive and respectful. My friend liked it so much so, she brought her family the next time. It’s a busy restaurant, which speaks for itself! If you’re in the Addison area, or want some dim sum, definitely check it out! This place is great for small or large groups. Till then, let’s eat!!!
I was craving dim sum and found the menu here looked good. As soon as I came in, I was immediately greeted and seated right away. As everything is virtual, you scanned a QR code to view the menu and then place your order through the app to have delivered to your table. I decided on the radish cake, shrimp and scallion dumplings, pork belly and the scallion pancake. I enjoyed those shrimp dumplings! They were cooked perfectly but, it was hard to pick them up using the chopsticks. I found the scallion was muted in the dumpling and I would have preferred there was more in mine. The pork belly was super delicious! Between the juicy meat and great flavor, I could easily eat an entire bowl of that. However, the dish that surprised me was the radish cake! Man, that dish was the star of the day. With its mild flavor, gooey yet crispy texture and pristine flavor, I can eat those all day and be content. I even got some to go because it was that good! My easy favorite dish was the scallion pancake. They were too crispy for my palette, but the chili garlic dipping sauce was excellent! Throughout my meal, the staff came by often and were extremely friendly! They made sure I was enjoying my food and because I didn't like the scallion pancake, they removed it! Between the attentive staff and good food, it's a nice spot to get some quick dim sum to satisfy your palette.
Asian Mint Addison
What a cute lil asian restaurant! Loved the food menu and the drinks too. We got the Pad Kee Mow, Coconut Thai Soup with Shirataki noodles, Spicy Thai Soup with Shirataki noodles. None of the dishes disappointed. The broth was amazing and the portion sizes are awesome🤩
Upon arrival, was greeted with a nice smile by the manager Giathi. There was no wait at the time, so I was quickly seated. The servers on the shift, were very knowledgeable about the menu. I believe there names were Gib and Joshua. Ultimately decided on the pineapple fried rice, with medium spice level and it was amazing. Will definitely be back to explore the other options on the menu. Overall great experience from food, service and atmosphere of this restaurant
Genghis Grill
Decent Food, But Service and Maintenance Need Serious Attention I recently visited Genghis Grill, which follows a “build your own bowl” concept similar to Flat Top Grill (both owned by the same company). While the food was decent, the service—especially from one key staff member—and the lack of maintenance left a lot to be desired. The Food: The food is decent, not great. The “build your own bowl” idea is fun, offering a variety of proteins, vegetables, and sauces to choose from. Be careful with the hot sauces—they can make your bowl extremely spicy very quickly. Portion sizes are generous; even the largest bowl, which looks small when empty, ends up being quite big once filled and cooked. The Service: The main issue was the front-of-house experience, specifically with the gentleman managing the greeting and payment process. He seemed to be in his own world, acting as though what he was doing was fine, but it was clear he didn’t understand customer service. When I mentioned it was my first visit, his explanation of how the process worked felt minimal and dismissive, almost like I was supposed to figure it out myself. He spent a lot of time walking around aimlessly or staring at his phone while customers waited for assistance. For example, a family with a stroller came in, and instead of approaching to help them, he called out to them from across the room, leaving them looking confused. When I paid for my meal, he disappeared immediately afterward without so much as a “thank you” or “have a good day.” It’s a small gesture, but it matters—it’s the last impression you leave with your customers. On top of all this, his hygiene was concerning, as he coughed openly multiple times without covering his mouth. It felt like he thought he was doing everything right but missed the mark entirely on providing a welcoming and professional customer experience. The Maintenance: The restaurant itself also had noticeable issues. The outdoor door was broken, the urinal in the restroom wasn’t working, and the overall upkeep felt neglected. It gave the impression that the place isn’t being managed properly. Final Thoughts: The food and concept are solid if you enjoy the Flat Top Grill style of dining. However, this location is held back by poor service and a lack of attention to basic maintenance. With better staff training and some much-needed repairs, it could be a great spot. For now, though, it’s hard to recommend.
Melinda was our server and she was so attentive and kind! The service was excellent, the food delicious, and everything came out in a timely manner, we will definitely be back :)
Hawkers Asian Street Food
I had such a fantastic time during our visit today! Huge shoutout to Kelsey, the manager on-site, and Day, our amazing server. Kelsey ensured everything ran smoothly, and Day was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our dinner. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made our experience truly memorable. The food was absolutely delicious and came out super fast! We got to try a variety of menu options, and I was so impressed by the range of flavors and cuisines. There’s an amazing variety of Asian food here—everything from curry to Korean dishes to Chinese options. Every dish we tried was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Overall, the combination of outstanding service, delicious food, and diverse menu options made this a visit to remember. Highly recommend checking this place out—you won’t be disappointed!
I went to an event with a big group so it was buffet style. All of the dishes we had great flavor. The coconut shrimp was great, the golden wonton was super crispy and had a pretty good flavor and I really liked the chicken dumplings. The bao buns were good and just the right amount is soft. The ribs had a great flavor but they were a bit tough. My favorite dish was the Po Po Lo’s Chicken Curry. It had a great rich flavor and both the chicken and the veggies were cooked to perfection. I definitely order it the next time I’m there.
Wei Tasty Asian
Should’ve left when upon entering I was hit with the strong smell of cleaning agents. Due to being in a crunch, I went against my gut reaction and ordered the Sesame Chicken lunch special ($7.99). I sat down and was reminded of why I should’ve left as the table was sticky. A closer look around the dining room and more signs that this spot would likely fail an impromptu health inspection. The employee brought out the food which was visually non-inspiring and “meh” at best. I would not recommend eating here as there are better options nearby.
I'd seen this location on Belt Line a few times in passing so I decided to use the drive-thru. When there is a barely legible handwritten sign on the window that reads check your order before leaving, this must be a recurring issue. I checked my order before driving away and it was accurate but I neglected to check for utensils or napkins until I got back to my office, which I received neither. If I was eating in my car, I'd be SOL. I can definitely say the customer service leaves a lot to be desired...and they have nerve to have a TIP line on the receipt as if they give excellent service. Tip through a drive-through and you leave wishing you didn't. I ordered the lunch combination low mein noodles and a soda and paid over $15 :-(. The amount of meat I received was definitely underwhelming at best, and it tasted just a little "off", which actually turned my stomach about 20 minutes later. I'm not saying the food was the reason, but... I think I'll give them another few years before visiting again, if ever. FYI, my experience made me go and read the reviews and I probably wouldn't have visited had I read them before. But at least I didn't get a spider.
Oc SaiGon
Great place for authentic vietnamese food - specially in seafood (snail). Love the sticky rice with chicken gizzards, snail with salted egg, clam is fresh too. At the time we are there , just open 2 month don’t have license for beer yet so BYOB.
We drove one hour to try this place and it did not disappoint!!!! Great food and service. Cute interior. Highly recommend if you haven’t tried. The service was great. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful with the recommendations. She even packed our leftovers without us asking. Another wait staff checked on our table, emptied the bowl that we used to put the shells. Overall, staff were friendly and efficient. We tried iced coffee with salt foam, xôi lòng gà cháy tỏi, ốc Canada muối tỏi, sò điệp nướng mỡ hành, ốc móng tay xào rau muống. Everything was delicious. We will definitely come back again!
May Dragon Chinese Restaurant 五福樓
Wanted to give it a try because I’m in the area but the experience was not very pleasant. Services were fine, the waiter (Chris) was nice and polite. The food was not good at all, I ordered 2 dishes: salt&pepper prawns and Beef chow fun noodles. The plating was BAD. And I paid $25 for just one dish. Yes you looked correctly, they charged a whopping $25 for 10 pieces of shrimps. The taste was mid but the plating and the price were extremely outrageous. Poor plating doesn’t get along with elegant environments since you guys trying to make the restaurant “LOOK LIKE” high end. The other dish was SALTY!!! I am 100% sure that the chef put too much salt into the noodle. Well, consider all the cooks back in the kitchen are Mexicans because the owner was greedy. I paid $45 for two dishes, yes, now you have to spend $45 at an Americanized Chinese food restaurant for only two dishes. This place is not worth your time and money. Avoid at all cost, there are so many other choices that you can spend way less money to actually enjoy the food!
We’ve been visiting for years, but had lunch there today for a late mother’s day. We all had lunch specials that came with a spring roll and steamed or fried rice. They weren’t very busy as we got there kind of late for lunch so the food and service were quick. I had the orange beef which was good as always. The fried rice was ok, but I did like the cucumbers that were served with it. We also ordered egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, general tsaos chicken, orange chicken and sesame chicken. Everyone left full. It was a bit pricey for lunch - more than I remembered, but they had roy rogers and shirley temple on the drink menu, which made me happy and just made the meal a bit better. :)
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
Pei Wei deserves a solid five stars for its consistent quality and delicious food! Every time I visit, the service is fast, friendly, and efficient, even during peak hours. The menu offers a great variety of Asian-inspired dishes, and everything I’ve tried has been spot on, with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Their signature orange chicken is always crispy and perfectly tangy, and the honey-seared chicken is another go-to. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. The ambiance is casual but clean and inviting, perfect for a quick meal or even a relaxed sit-down experience. I also appreciate how accommodating they are with dietary preferences, offering plenty of options for gluten-free or low-carb eaters. Pei Wei is a reliable spot whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout, and the food never disappoints. Highly recommend if you're craving quick, delicious, and satisfying Asian cuisine!
I changed my original 3 stars to 5 due to the exceptional services from this lady named Mashon who was so patient, sweet and gentle taking everyone order. She remaims calm and composed regardless how many customers in front. I've been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks and was served by her, completely exceptional. Too bad Peiwei does not allow tips, otherwise this is what tips are for, excellent services.
Jasmine Uniquely Chinese
I ordered from this restaurant from Uber Eats for the first time tonight. They followed all my veggie removal requests and the food was so delicious! The wonton soup wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was still refreshing. The Mongolian beef was delicious and the perfect amount of spicy! I will definitely order again and directly from the restaurant so they make the most profit. 🙂
This place is freaking amazing. Our server made slight adjustments to our order so we could have EXACTLY what we wanted how we wanted. He did everything he could to make this an amazing experience for us. The restaurant was quiet but they had a relaxing lounge piano track for calming ambience. They have some amazing options like passionfruit sweet tea and homemade carrot cake!!!! 🥕 For sure give this place a try. They deserve it, the staff is really good hardworking and professional.
New New Buffet
This place has very tasty food and the price is reasonable. They have a decent selection of everything. I especially enjoyed the crab and shrimp with shell on, the sushi and kimchi i also enjoyed. The cooks keep replenishing whenever an item is low. We went on a week day so it wasn't very busy. The bathroom is clean. We will definitely go back again.
It is what youd expect for a cheap Chinese food. No complaints all pretty fresh when I went for lunch. It was 13 before tip. I saw they have to go buffet for. 6.99 a pound 😂
Yen China Cafe
I haven’t found a good place like this that I have loved in a long time. I got the orange shrimp and it was AMAZING! The shrimp was hot, citrusy, crispy, and sauces to perfection! I never eat the rice but I sauced it up with the orange shrimp sauce and ate all it. My ate his whole plate too! Laid back, chill, old school. I will probably be back again in the next few days. This place is the best!
Whomever the beautiful soul was that saw my online order of "Make it as spicy as possible" THANK YOU!!! You are the only person to actually make my food spicy. You deserve a raise! Genuinely this is our new favorite Chinese place they have the best fried rice and flat noodles.
Mooshie
This food truck offers lots of choices for Vietnamese street food. They update and add new items to their menu frequently. I love how they have pictures of the food hanging around the truck, which makes it easier to order. The food tastes amazing. Love it! However, it is a little bit pricey for the portion. I hope they can either increase the portion or have a more reasonable price. Other than that, if you are looking for Vietnamese street food experience, this is the place. There are many other Vietnamese food trucks around as well.
The gizzards whith garlic sauce have a super satisfying flavor, in conjunction with the texture of vegetable selection used to prepare the dish. These come perfectly cooked not overdone in the slightest, and the sweet slightly savory sauce is exquisite drizzled over the top. The Grilled Blood Clams have that superb fishy flavor that I tend to enjoy. The nuts and chives are a great pairing to add a slight undertone of flavor that brings out the greatness of the seafood, but they were ultimately lacking a sort of savory aspect. While still good food the blood clams could use a slight tune up. Overall the experience is fantastic satisfactory service, hot fresh food, and fantastic passion fruit tea! Would recommendand will return.
