We were excited to try this restaurant due to the great reviews. We were seated right away and the food was delicious and atmosphere was nice. However, we waited at least 15 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. I watched several waitresses taking care of other tables and walk right past us without saying a word, which was off putting to say the least. We enjoyed our meal and when the bill arrived my husband paid right away and didn’t examine the bill carefully, but I happened to look at the check. I noticed that my order which was the seafood paella which was $38 had been charged $50. I notified our waitress and she said “it was the system,” and not sure why it overcharged us, and said she would talk to the manager. She came back few minutes later, apologized, and gave us a $20 gift card. At this point, we were annoyed and just wanted to leave so my husband agreed to the gift card. The amount of money we spent at this establishment for dinner, we expected better! The lack of interest in our experience by the “manager,” and mistake by “the system,” and throwing us a $20 gift card as being a viable solution for overcharging us is why we will not be returning.

I don't know why this resturants is a still a secret being passed from person to person. The food is marvelous and a perfect backdrop for a romatic dinner with your honey. Every seasonal soup warms the soul. I am not a pumpkin guy, but the pumpkin soup is a bowl full of fall tastes and smells. We get the spicy cauliflower and the steak tartare every time. They had a special bourbon drink with cabernet foam which is a must have for all Old Fashion fans. Oh! If you are a choclate fan if you don't get the chocolate mouse you are cheating yourself. The service is warm and inviting. It's worth going waaaay out of your way for this one.

We've eaten at this place over 10 years and the food is normally halfway decent. tonight was a different story...we ordered fried wontons and rice noodles. Wontons were fried to the point that they were inedible. Noodles tasted like burned chore boy whatever steel wool they use to scrub the last burnt meal out of the Wok and did not rinse. So I called them, the gentleman on the phone cheerfully offered to bring me a new meal and I gratefully accepted. Thinking to myself, what great customer service. That thought quickly disappeared when the driver shows up demanding the burnt crap in the garbage be returned to the restaurant I have never heard of a restaurant asking to for food back! Never! So, I dug out of the trash what I so this rude person would would leave. Well guess what, the new wontons were burnt to a crisp too! I'm not sure who this person was , but he had the sauce they give with the wontons on his shirt looking like mine on the way over! One could tell that the sauce did not get on his shirt from preparing the meal. The Noodles were better.. but still tasted like burnt scrub pad. I won't be eating there again I hear of a change in management.

It’s been a couple years since I have ordered from here and now I remember why. Ordered shrimp and veggies with fried rice and egg roll. Fried rice was much and clumped together. Not a single pea, carrot or egg in the rice. Shrimp had good flavor but also mushy. Egg roll not crispy. We need a good Chinese restaurant in grapevine because this is no longer a choice.

Been coming here for years this place never disappoints me always delicious. The service is also good. The crispy beef is always my go to.

We had friendly but really slow service. The problem was the food. The egg rolls looked great but were flavorless, unseasoned pork and tons of cabbage. The peppered steak was chewy and tough in an extremely salty sauce. The bbq pork lo-mein was swimming in sweet sauce. I can't recommend this restaurant.

India Foodie Lounge

Nice food and decent choice. Loved the food and drinks. We ordered chicken tikka and veggie pakora. Tikka was spiced up really nicely. Loved the food - Garlic naan, onion Kulcha, chicken curry etc - all were cooked nicely with right level of spices. I have been to India foodie lounge in Bartlet and that was little different with some curries offered in clay pots with lids closed with clay top and tightened with a piece of naan bread. Looks interesting. Not sure they offer here as well. Overall food taste was fantastic in palatine location.

Our party of 3 had a delicious weeknight dinner here and I'll go with 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars. They have a nice corner strip mall location and an open and spacious though somewhat plainish interior. Naga, who is the operating partner here, was our welcoming server and his wife was the chef, so it's a homey and authentic mom and pop operation. We ordered the following: - Tandoori mixed grill which included tandoori chicken, a unique cilantro chicken, and shrimp ($25). The cilantro chicken was moist and delicious and had a bright green color from the cilantro. - Chicken tikka masala, $18. Delicious, but the accompanying white rice was on small side. - Vegetable biryani, $13. This was a particularly generous serving. - Garlic naan, $4 - Onion kulcha (pita bread like), $5 - Kingfisher beer, $6. All in all, we were very happy with our meal and it was a comfortable place to eat at a leisurely pace. The food came out a little on the slow side, but it did start getting busy for the lone chef just as we ordered, and we were in no hurry. Highly recommended, and I hope to return someday to try some other dishes.

Do not order the Pad Thai! It was honestly the worst "pad Thai" I've ever had. My wife got hers not spicy and it had no flavor at all. I got mine very spicy and it tasted like tomato pasta. The people saying it's the best pad Thai they've ever had must have not had authentic pad Thai before. They were very nice and the restaurant was very nice inside, but this is not the dish to get.

We always come here for the smoke ducks and the spicy boiled beef. The ducks are very tasty and not greasy. It is a 10/10 dish. You really cannot go wrong with it. Spicy boiled beef is a Szechwan dish. If you like spicy food, this is the one you need to try. The beef is very soft and well seasoned. The size of this dish is big. It really worths every dollar. Tonight we tried the spicy fish with green pepper. I am surprised how good it turned out. It is a Szechwan dish. However, it is not really spicy. The fish fillets are soft and delicious. I definitely will order again. Their sushi are also very good. PL8 has so many good dishes. It is hard to choose sometimes. BTW, their services are good too.
