Panda Express
Update: It has been one year since we were last here and stopped because, silly me, thought it might have gotten better. If there is one thing we can say about this place is that it is consistent- yes, consistently bad. We ordered one plate with two entrees, orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp and veggie spring rolls. The honey walnut shrimp was old, rubbery, and dripping in oil. The orange chicken was not fresh either. It tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. The spring rolls were oily on the inside. I couldn’t take more than one bite. So, this was officially the last time we go there. This was my first time at this location. I ordered orange chicken with greens like I always do from other locations. However, I noticed it a bit odd that they added a lot more orange chicken than at other places. When I moved the chicken to eat some greens, I noticed that the cabbage was brown and the kale was wilted and looked old. I took a bite of a section that looked decent, but the taste was disgusting. I ended up spitting it out. Also, as I moved the greens over, I noticed they were also slimy. I decided to just eat the orange chicken, but it wasn’t any better. It tasted like it had been sitting in the pot for a while. It definitely was not fresh. The pictures say it all. We will not be stopping here again.
Panda Express has slowly become a mainstay of our road trips, whenever we can find one around meal times. With their relatively recent corporate redesign, their restaurants are consistently a little nicer than other fast food joints, and serve plenty of food. This one was no exception. Clean, well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. Ordered two plates, one with orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, & chow mein, the other with teriyaki chicken, Hot Ones chili chicken, & steamed rice. Both were great!
