How did I not know this existed until now? What a unique experience—literally dining in the prep kitchen that supplies all the Ling restaurants in Austin. Not only was the chef there along with her husband, but we also got to hear directly from her about how the menu is inspired by her grandmother’s recipes and the food the owner grew up eating. The presentation of each dish was incredibly thoughtful, and the flavors were just as impressive. The Wagyu was outstanding, and how often do you get to try jellyfish, duck tongue, and sea cucumber all in one evening? The service was exceptional, making the entire night feel even more special. An unforgettable dining experience!

My beloved husband treated me to a special dinner here to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary, and I have to say, it was a fantastic and unforgettable experience. We were welcomed warmly, and the entire evening felt memorable from start to finish. This restaurant offers a unique “East meets West” experience—combining top-notch Eastern cuisine with five-star Western-style service. We had the privilege of speaking with the owner, which was an honor. It was fascinating to learn about the “private dining experience” concept behind the kitchen. The surprises kept coming throughout the night. They brought out a roasted pig and invited us to get up close and enjoy it while watching the chef prepare dishes for us—such a fun and interactive experience. I really appreciated the atmosphere here, especially the attention to detail. The chinaware, forks, and spoons were replaced with each new course, and I loved how they took care of every little detail, from folding the napkins when we left the table to the decor around us. The only small downside, in my personal opinion, was that the dining area was located inside the kitchen, surrounded by kitchen equipment, which made the space feel a bit less organized. But overall, it was a beautiful and memorable evening.

Ordered delivery through Uber Eats from Din Ho Chinese BBQ, I got the Soy Sauce Chicken and Egg Fried Rice, and both were fantastic. The Soy Sauce Chicken was incredibly flavorful—tender, juicy, and soaked in that rich, savory soy glaze that makes you want to lick the container. You could tell it was freshly made, not overly salty like some places. The Egg Fried Rice was the perfect match—light, fluffy, with just the right amount of egg and seasoning. It tasted like it came straight off a wok. Delivery was smooth, food arrived hot, and portions were generous. Din Ho never misses. Highly recommend when you’re craving some solid Chinese food at home!

This place is a solid find! The space is spacious, clean, and has a cool vibe with fresh seafood tanks in the back—definitely adds a touch of authenticity. It’s set up family-style with those big round banquet tables, perfect for groups or a lively dinner with friends. Came here for Chinese New Year dinner. Service was on point—super fast, both with taking our order and getting the food out. And let’s talk portions: they don’t skimp! Everything’s served in generous sizes, so you’ll definitely leave satisfied. Presentation-wise, the dishes are a feast for the eyes. Taste-wise, it was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The roasted duck and pork belly were decent but didn’t quite hit the mark flavor-wise—maybe needed a bit more seasoning. That said, the eggplant clay pot was *chef’s kiss*—absolutely delicious. The chow fun was solid, and the fried fish? Oh man, that was a standout—crispy, flavorful, and totally dee-licious! Overall, this is a pretty great spot for Chinese food in Austin. Not everything wowed me, but there’s enough here to make it worth a visit, especially if you’re craving some hearty, shareable dishes. 🥢🫖🍚🧧

I’ve been a loyal customer since 2016, and this place never misses. The pig ears are a personal favorite—bursting with flavor and perfectly done. The scallion cake is a must-try: crispy, flaky, and addictive. I have to say i order pig ears whenever am here, has tried so many places no restaurant can compete to this. They’re also famous for their hand-pulled noodles. I remember chatting with the owner years ago—she told me they carefully select their wheat flour and make everything with heart, no added chemicals. You can truly taste the care in every bite.

The employees are kind and efficient! Helped recommend some delicious soup dumplings. We'd heard of this place and finally have it a go and we're happy we did. Noodles are home made and every cut of beef from the shank in the spicy beef noodle to the brisket to the thin sliced appetizer served with chili oil was incredible and cooked perfect. We'll be back many times and can't wait to try the beef scallion pancake burritos and pan fried dumplings. I recommend the beef slice with chili oil and scallion pancakes as appetizers as well as any soup dumplings!

Such delicious food. Here’s what you MUST order: jumping fish + cumin beef. Honorable mentions are the salt and pepper pork, wonton soup, and egg plant. Oh and the fried rice is great. You can’t go wrong everything is good. Restaurant is always busy so save a few minutes to wait in line. Owners are really nice. Service is wonderful. A proper Chinese restaurant that Austin really needed.

I really enjoyed the eggplant in garlic chili sauce! We also got the dry Sichuan chicken, which was fried perfectly and not greasy at all. 😊 It was nice to have a saucy dish like the eggplant to complement the fried chicken. We got two entrees for two people, and it filled us up completely. We got there at 5pm, and it started getting busy around 5:30pm.

It’s fine. Just fine. Literally what I’d expect if I ordered Chinese in an airport or grocery chain fast food-type place. Nothing super objectionable, but nothing stood out. Our “mild” ordered dish tasted EXACTLY the same as our “spicy” dish, both of which I’d judge as “mild.” Food was not particularly warm, temperature wise, but not cold, when I got it home ten minutes later. Just okay. We ate it and none of the three of us fully hated it. Just didn’t love it. Would eat in a pinch but wouldn’t choose.

If you are looking for a place that brings consistent meals, this is it! I won’t say they have the most exciting menu, but we always know what we’re going to get and it’s going to be good! The rangoons and potstickers are a must! My go-to is the large wonton soup which will usually last me two servings, while wifey loves the honey walnut shrimp, though they avoid the bowl as it comes with less shrimp. I just had the chicken lettuce wraps for the first time and they were delicious. The lettuce was fresh, but it did get a little wilty from the extra sauce at the bottom of the plate. I will still order them again. This place is a staple for our family!

The service and food is horrible. The lady brought my food to go, when I needed to eat it here because I am out of town. She didn't even ask me if I was eating here and did not bring me silverware or napkins. When I ask for them, she gave me one napkin. The tea tastes awful as well as the egg roll. The food was ok, but I would not stopped here if I knew, it was just ok. And, they don't have public restrooms. Not happy....

A no frills Chinese restaurant which serves absolutely delicious food! Huge portion sizes, good prices and amazing taste make it one of the best restaurants in Austin. So many Chinese restaurants skimp on rice which is one of the cheapest foods but at this restaurant you will not have to worry about running out. We always get the dinner portions for lunch so that way there is plenty left over for dinner! Family owned and operated, service is fast, friendly and efficient!!

This was my first time having breakfast at this restaurant. The restaurant is clean and the food is good.I like the soy milk and fried egg with spring onions menu with shrimp congee and many other menus. i recommend for those who like Chinese and Asian breakfast.

We had breakfast today the very first time after recommended by friends. I really enjoyed the foods, especially the deep fried dough sticks and fried onion pan cakes are super fresh, crispy outside and delicious inside! They have a lot of vegetarian options and open 365 days . So glad Austin is finally has an authentic restaurant offering northern Chinese breakfast menu. We will definitely come back and try other options on their menu!

The food here is so good! Spicy pork dumplings are pretty spicy so be cautious if you're sensitive to chili. The pancakes were crispy, we loved the soup dumplings, and especially loved the short rib with potatoes. The eggplant was soft, sweet, and savory. The chicken was very crispy and had a nice level of spice. I probably wouldn't order the noodles with pork belly next time, it wasn't a soup and wasn't up to par with the rest of the menu but the noodles themselves were made well. I'll definitely visit again!

This place is great if you want to have a shared meal with someone. The portions are big and one thing out of the menu is enough to share with like 2-3 people. The combination noodles were sooo good, the flat noodle soup could of had a little more flavor and the Red Chili pepper chicken was too dry for my liking( that was my fault because I didn’t know it came dry). The place was very clean. You sit in your table and order from there ( QR code menu). Staff was very nice, but I feel like the menu should be explained a little more. Any question I had, was answered though, maybe I should have asked about the specific plate I got. I would definitely go back for the combination noodles and now that I know how the ordering works and all, I’m sure it’ll be better. Can’t wait to try the orange chicken!

I was 3rd in line during dinner time on a saturday. Took a while to get to me but only because they were already runing on all cylinders. Abdul took care of my order very nice for being under a lot of pressure. Both him and the woman working along side him worked hard and cohesively. The woman diligently worked the to go orders and they communicated well with each other. The two cooks an older Asian gentleman and a younger male next to him worked fast and hard as well. The younger cook was running cardboard out and keeping up with orders while keeping stations clean. There's a little tension in the crew but they were pushing orders out. They gave me and the two men before me great service and quality food. I also liked that while I was waiting they were preparing to go orders and they did not skip out on fullness of the plate with the freshest ingredients and rechecking order stickers to be correct. Had i ordered online I would've been very happy with the plates I saw going out.

We visited today and was very happy with the freshness of our food👏🏻. Love when food is nice, fresh nd hot🔥. Can say they seemed a bit undrstaffed on the morning shift tho. Also food did take a bit longer than usual to come out but when it did it was worth the wait😁. Hope they keep up the freshness nd im positive people can enjoy this location more☺️. P.s love their outside area👌🏼, very nice nd calm.
