Qi Austin is a charming spot, perfect for a date night. They offer creative cocktails and a great wine list, allowing you to customize your drink of choice. Be sure to reserve a table in the cozy dining area. During my dinner, I tried a variety of dishes, and everything exceeded expectations. The soup dumplings were a highlight, but the scallop caviar dumplings were truly phenomenal. The truffle fried rice was a unique and delicious discovery, and the duck was cooked to perfection and served with delightful little buns. The hot and sour soup was also spot on in consistency and flavor.

Their soup dumplings are absolutely delicious! You can even watch the staff making these tasty dumplings on-site! I especially love soup dumplings, and this is already my second visit because of them. The hot and sour soup is flavorful and is also the second time I’ve ordered it. The lobster dumplings are amazing, similar to the shrimp dumplings you’d find at dim sum, but with fuller meat. The salt and pepper shrimp go perfectly with rice, and they even include a small bowl of rice and soup for free. But! Why would a chef cut ginger into such thin and tiny pieces that they look like shredded cabbage?!

Came to Wu Chow for our anniversary dinner without a reservation. Online it showed no wait, but when we arrived, there was about an hour wait for indoor seating. Luckily, there was no wait for outdoor seating, so we took the chance even though it was a bit chilly. Thankfully, they had plenty of heaters, and we stayed warm. The food was incredible—we had the Wu Chow special fried rice, shrimp Chengdu, soup dumplings, and chicken Chengdu, and everything was packed with flavor. Service was great too, even though we were outside. Definitely coming back!

Food flavors were absolutely incredible. But our soup was cold. Others sent back food around us for being cold too. The restaurant was not that busy at 5:15 but because we didn’t have reservations we had to sit outside. That was fine, it was a last minute decision while we were walking past to sit. However was waiter was absolutely terrible. He would disappear for long periods of time, others filled our drinks and brought us silverware and soy. He was not good. Other servers seemed attentive with their tables. Never went inside but the atmosphere seemed nice. The patio was nothing special. Probably won’t return ever again. Much better options in Austin.

The inside is very spacious and relaxed, with many sofa tables. It is easy to handle a large group. Their food was okay. It was still not great Chinese compared to other authentic Chinese. You may feel the difference if you know good Chinese….😅 Their service seemed messed up when it was crowded. Their dessert was good! I highly recommend having them. Please keep your stomach free to allow for that 👍

This location is always beautifully decorated with the seasons. There are large statues of horses inside the restaurant. The fully stocked bar is the center of the restaurant. This location used to have valet parking but when we recently went, the valet parking was gone and there was an over priced paid parking lot next to the restaurant. I believe it was $15 for 45 minutes. There was paid parking on the street but it was full and driving the downtown location is frustrating. The food has improved. Everything was fresh and wasn't over cooked like in the past visits. The mixed drinks were delicious and presented well! The sauce on the lettuce wraps has changed to a peanut butter flavored sauce. I'm not a fan of it. I preferred the old table sauces. The plates are large enough to share between 2 people. There has been changes/updates to the menu and new items have been brought in. Overall, this visit was pleasant and the staff was attentive and friendly.

Had chicken fried rice delivered. Dry and inedible. Smelled like old, burnt grease. No soy sauce, no sweet and sour. Overall not worth feeding to the dog. Delivery guy was great.

Order on uber eats... the lo mein texture tasted good, but it was a little too salty. The general tso was not flavorful enough and had a different taste compared to others I've had in the past. The food was edible, but no silverware or sauces when receiving the order.
