Suzi's Chinese
First time visiting Suzi's. It was a pleasure to meet the owner. She was very welcoming. The restaurant is very clean and with a calming dining area. I gave it a 4 star because the service was a bit off. Two different wait staff seemed confused about our order. We got the appetizer after the entrees. Our glass of water had things floating in it. Hmmm. The food was delicious. I would have preferred more fried rice with my order, and I ended up ordering more. It was a good experience. Next time, I'll let them know about the water. I'll be visiting with my teenagers soon.
Delicious food and the kindest staff ever! Suzi herself served us; the whole staff really went the extra mile :) Appreciate the vegetarian section of the menu!! Edit: Suzi, the owner, is the sweetest woman, but on my last visit I noticed a significant decline in service from our waiter. :(
Shu Shu's Asian Cuisine
I tried this place first time today with a very high expectation, but I was very disappointed with the food.☹️ The clerk was very polite and friendly. He is great. I had a hot & sour soup, it’s also great, I like it. But, the dragon noodle was…”not good”. I really don’t like the taste and flavor if it has any.😕 I was so confused because the combination of veggies and meat should be ok, but why it tasted so bad? My answer is the sauce. This dish could be super good if they just use regular soy sauce and red chili. The sauce should bonds the flavors of the ingredients together, but sadly it does not. Super flavorless, only tomato sour, hot and spicy on your tongue. And they put in the noodle at the very end of cooking, making it even more flavorless. They should put the noodle into the wok and pan fried it with the veggies and meat for a while before adding any sauce or soy sauce, so the noodle has time to absorb the flavor of ingredients and wok. This should be one of the basic rules of making Asian dishes. 😑 Anyway, I don’t recommend the dragon noodle. I might try something else next time.
Hungry for straight up Chinese and this place was recommended by a local retailer. Good lunch special selection. Hot and sour soup was delish. Large portion of Mongolian beef with mediocre fried rice. Good egg roll. Spoon had dried/caked on food on it, YUK Will explore other places in the area next time.
Panda Express
I asked for teriyaki and soy sauce and they gave me one soy sauce. What happened to the good ol days when they would pack your plate full and slam a handful of soy sauce? Pandas getting like McDonald’s with there two tiny slivers of pickles on a burger. Now I have to dip in to my stock pile of restaurant soy sauce. GIVE ME MY SOY SAUCE!
I order my plate at about 430PM and Lauren was my cashier. She was very nice and professional. She had perfect customer service. The food was also great. The rice..noodles and orange were all fresh and tasty.
China House Restaurant
Food is delicious OMGGGGG, same recipe as I’ve tried in Honduras. LOVE THIS PLACE. FRESH AND FAST WAS MADE Me and my friend we are going to come back soon. And prices so good for a lot of food. I read OLD reviews (2years) about that the food is bad, but please try this place again and leave an honest review. This was my first time and definitely coming back. I will maybe suggest for the sweet and sour to make it more “flavorly” for my opinion was a bit simple. But my friends was okay. But overall. Thanks!!! Love it!
The food tasted great! I was very surprised at how delicious it was because I haven’t found many good Chinese restaurants in Austin. Also, the delivery was fast - it got to me in less than 30 mins! So the reason for only 2 stars is because when I got down to almost the end of my fried rice, I found hair in my food. (And no, it wasn’t my hair as the color was not the same) so I about gagged up everything else I had just eaten. Up until that point though, the food tasted great. So I’m a little sad that I found hair in it or else I would order again!
