China Town Restaurant
After being on the road so long and doing a lot of camp cooking I just wanted someone else to cook. Was happy to find this spot. Was going to take it to go, but it’s cozy in there so I stayed and dined in. Bummer for that other guy in the reviews who isn’t a Chinese food professional like myself. Staff was sweet and attentive. He was happy to explain some stuff on the menu I havnt seen before. Food came out fast. Small vegetarian menu options but plenty for me to choose from. Too much food I took the rest to go.
Consistently the best Chinese food in the area! My husband’s and my staples are the vegetable curry with tofu and the vegetable lo mein (Add tofu). They are so incredibly full of all the right flavors. So many of these Chinese places are very lacking in flavor and plain. It is always very hot and fresh and good service. Although the outside could use some work, this is a must go to!
Panda Express
Everything was fairly ok. First Panda I’ve been to and couldn’t sample anything. Server Juan G stated “they don’t do that here anymore.” Had to wait for the String Bean Chicken Breast because they didn’t have anymore but it was worth the wait. Server Juan G brought it to the table Fresh and Hot!! Staff was attentive to our needs as guest. Establishment was clean. Staff could be a little more welcoming! ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️🥡
John rose and Zackary maclellan… are Writing this review based on just getting home.. after I picked up my food. I needed some drinks at Casey’s gas station so I would say 30 minutes after pick up. Being a local I always know my favorite spots to go to… I love panda. I always go here. My apartment is nearby… I was in drive through for a few extra minutes.. getting an order for three which of course not a big deal… especially if it’s a double order of certain chicken with a few sides… I get it.. it’s Friday.. as long as there working to prepare it, it doesn’t matter to me.l.. especially when you are polite. I got home. And opened my food… and this is literally DISGUSTING. The fact a bite of my food was taken, I have never had this happen here. This is truly so disgusting. The health department needs to come over there at this point, I have always been a respectful customer.. but this is a first. Threw it straight in the trash. Photos provided. Will be contacting corporate and the health department… this is truly gross and will never be back again. Hope it was worth it
North China Chinese Restaurant
Not only does this place have the best Chinese food, I had so many special memories with my Girlfriend Destiny that I used to take there almost 15 years ago. I was amazed not only by the food quality, customer service & great pricing, but even moreso I could not believe that Michelle ACTUALLY REMEMBERED me and my girlfriend and the exact spot we used to sit even though we were basically KIDS when we used to frequent the place. I shared with Michelle personal things related to my business and she gave me this awesome bracelet to bring about good fortune. Listen, this is the best Chinese food in Eastern TN. If you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and pay North China a visit. Thank you so much Michelle for making me feel right at HOME after all of these years away. I sill be back soon! ❣️🫶❣️
While walking around the popular strip of Gatlingburg, we stumbled upon this place! I didn’t have a chance to look at the google reviews! Wow it is pretty low from the google rating after I was trying to give it a review! But you gotta be aware where you are and if this establishment is catered toward tourists or locals? Well, for a tourist establishment, I went thru the menu and knew exactly what I wanted to order for the family. When we got there the restaurant was slightly empty, however after we received our dishes, all of the sudden the restaurant was packed! The deco of the place feels like a take out restaurant. To be honest, we tried many Asian foods around many places, and it is not that bad! We ordered slice fried fishes with black bean sauce, combination green curry, tomato with beefs and tofu with broccoli and mushrooms. Everything turned out pretty decent for a tourist establishment. We even ordered extra white rice to finish rest of the food. Even though an order of white rice was $3.5 but the owner asked if that was okay with us! $3.5 for white rice is kind of steep but vs the other Thai restaurant, The Baht, charging $5 for 3/4 bowl of white rice, hmmm this place was whole plate of white rice. Our party all liked the fish with black bean sauce dish, it was finished pretty quickly. Check out the pictures, it does not deserve such of low rating! Also this restaurant has been around since 1980s, so think about this, if it is so bad wouldn’t it be out of business already? So I think my theory of great google rating restaurant might or might not always be a hit! But low google rating might not be as bad! So give it a try when you are in Gatlinburg, TN.
