Asian Garden
They use spaghetti noodles for their lo mein, and we got rice and kind of soupy vinegary cabbage instead of chicken chow mein (which is also supposed to be a noodle dish?) They also don't take card, which is fine, but it would be nice to know before you get there. Real bland tbh
If my phone hadn't died, I would have taken pictures of our food. I got the beef and broccoli, hubby got shrimp fried rice and extra shrimp. Both were so good, we couldn't eat it all. The people who were working, were very friendly and helpful with our order. If you are looking for a very nice, clean Chinese restaurant, then come here to the Asian Garden restaurant on Rivers Ave. in North Charleston. They have great food here.
Chow's Restaurant
This place is horrible! The food is bad, expensive and the portions are too small. Also, the wait time is excessive and the employees are not friendly.
It was a great place to get good food now it's run down by the neighborhood. An the owner are old now and can't keep up just my two cents. Food is ok but not like how it was especially the price
China Garden Restaurant
You can tell they boom on carry out and not dine in. It's not the most aesthetic place but the food is good. I've been wanting coconut creamy shrimp for a while and I finally found a place that serves it. I also got the vegetable chow mei fun. It was good too. Thank goodness for Google.
They have probably fed us more times than anywhere else in Charleston 😂 This is our go to spot whenever we don’t feel like making dinner- and it is always so consistently amazing! The lady running it and taking orders is SO SWEET. Always kind and helpful- and such good prices too! Highly recommend!
Number One Kitchen
We had the egg foo young and veggie rice and chicken wings and fries … the fries were burnt but everything else was good… we placed the order over the phone and it was done in 35 mins.
Placed an order and in it I asked for general chicken. I also emphasized severe fish and shellfish allergies. Not only did they check on this, they called me and told me general chicken has ingredients I am allergic to, but the chef for on the phone with me and said he had a different way he could make it. That it will taste just a bit different but would be safer for me. I agreed to try it. Chef!! I barely could taste the difference and I want to thank you so much for giving me the taste I was looking for and keeping me safe!!! Evening else from sweet and sour , to chicken chow mein to even sticky rice was absolutely perfect..You all are the best!!!
Panda Express
Slow traffic and no line. I ordered 3 entree. Lady in black shirt act like so busy and didn’t chop my teriyaki. Anything else are good
I enjoyed coming to this location for brunch because it was not planned for me to eat when I arrived. The food exceeded my expectations in taste and presentation. The customer service was very courteous and professional. The restaurant lobby, countertops and restroom was clean. I will come again in the future and recommend this as a family friendly and clean business to patronize.
Peking Gourmet (5300 Rivers Ave, N. Charleston)
I may be a little biased because I’m a huge Chinese fan, but being from New York, I know good Chinese food when I taste it. Peking Gourmet does not disappoint. The sweet and sour chicken/pork are favorites for me and my son. We also typically add a side of fried dumplings. Chinese food is always a great go to for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner. The seating is typical of a restaurant that rarely has customers dining in, but takeout is where it’s at! We’ll certainly we back for more.
I ordered 3 meals to go. The prices were good. $40 . Large portions! Our food was great! I had a lobster tail in my seafood delight. Everything tasted wonderful. We all agreed that it was probably the best around here. The cashier was nice. BUT it took 30 minutes to get my food 😒. The atmosphere was awful. Turn on the radio or something. I will go back , but I will call my order in first!
