I frequently make this the last stop on my way out of town and forego other restaurants. It's always super fresh, hot and tasty I am from NYC and find it very good Chinese takeout. It's only run by a nice couple and don't expect a restaurant experience but there is a table to sit and eat if you didn't want to take it out right away. It's a typical Chinese takeout done very well with care about their quality and skill. The value is outstanding and I highly recommend it. My favorite so far.

We have ordered from Fortune Pavilion many times. It’s a mom and pop restaurant with usually just two people working. Food is cooked fresh to order and is really consistent. The flavors are a little different from what I usually receive from other places. For example the crispy chicken is more spicy and less sweet. There is no inside dinning.

So happy they opened their dine in spot again. Chinese food just hits so much better when eaten on the spot.

I’ve gotten the spare ribs and pork fried rice and it was a roach in my food . I’m never buying anything from them again. A really bad experience I had today.. that refund didn’t matter !! For a restaurant you guys need to do better than this !!!!!

Went for Sunday dim sum, which is like traditional Chinese tapas. It was all sooooo unbelievably good. I’m a California native and the food was like being back in Chinatown San Francisco!! I have not seen proper dim sum of this level since moving to the south 5 years ago. My favorite dish, Lo Mai Fan, was cooked to perfection and tasted exactly right. Everything else we ordered was highly memorable as well. Will definitely be back!!!

We came for Sunday's dumpling dinner and our server was so quick, helpful, and attentive with our order. He was able to explain each dish and gave his food recommendation from this restaurant. The food came pretty fast and thats a plus. We really enjoyed the dumplings, lo mein, and shumai. The sticky rice, dry ribs, and char siu bao just okay. Their coctail was pretty good. I also like the ambience of this place. Pretty good Chinese food.

First time eating Authentic Sichuan food and I’m hooked. I love the spice, so many layered of flavor and just amazing. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Charleston or anyone who lives in Charleston. Great vibe inside, and the staff super friendly. I will definitely be back!!! Oh and get the Sichuan Sunday. Perfect balance of sweet, salty and spice.

I wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. The food was simply inedible. As someone who enjoys and has experience with Chinese cuisine, I can confidently say this was among the worst I've ever had. We spent over $100 and left most of it uneaten. The service was equally disappointing. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and then another hour for our food. This was a complete waste of time and money. I will absolutely not be back.

Early voted in Daniel Island so checked out Dragon Palace for Lunch based on a recommendation from a friend. Overall it was good but nothing to knock your socks off. I wouldn’t drive from Goose Creek to DI for it. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was good. Nice larger pieces of Chicken and the batter was on point, crunchy light and fluffy. The Eye Kew was also good. Had good flavor but the highlight was the Beef as it was so tender. Dim Sum platter was great. You could tell these were hand made. Five different pieces, the Shu Mai and the Pork were the best. Very light, but flavorful Dumpling Sauce. The Fried Rice was lacking, just Rice and Soy Sauce. Nothing else to provide flavor. No vegetables, no seasoning. The Egg Roll was also lacking. Essentially a Fried Cabbage Roll as there was a tiny amount of pork in it. To the point I had to thoroughly search for those red Pork pieces after each bite. The Duck Sauce that was served with it was great though. These were Lunch Specials but added the Dim Sum and the Egg Roll. Portions were solid for the price of $12.99 per special. Dim Sum was $8.99 and the Egg Roll was $2.75. It was nice to see a sit down Chinese Restaurant rather than the typical Take Out Style places, especially with some of the originals in the area closing. As I said before, the meal was good but nothing to go crazy about. Highlights were the Dim Sum and the Beef in the Rib Kew. Everything else was average at best. I will give them credit for a wide range of items on the menu that you wouldn’t get at a typical Chinese Take Out Style place.

It's probably the only legit Chinese anywhere near Charleston! They have a cute little shop in an unassuming mall, which is beautifully decorated and upkept. The kicker is that on Saturdays, they do a dim sum brunch, and it absolutely rules. We got the mix of dumplings, rolls, and steamed dishes, and all were excellent. The host even made some recommendations, which all panned out and made us happy. All the staff were warm, and the entire facility was clean. Coming from a place with more asian options, my only complaint is the size of the dishes. We got about ten plates for two people, and I had a bowl of rice as well. I could have honestly kept eating, but it was all gone.

Not the place to go if craving Chinese. Ribs and chicken were so charred and dry we couldn’t even eat it. The shrimp toast was simply disgusting. The crab Rangoon, rice, and sweet and sour shrimp were edible but didn’t really hit the spot. Was hoping for a yummy local Chinese spot but sadly this isn’t it. Also, children running the counter and getting upset with them when they count the money too slow? Felt bad for the kid. Maybe it was simply a rough night with no babysitter and trying to teach a lesson of earning, but felt the patience wasn’t there. Sadly, will not return.

We visited Charleston, South Carolina and it has become a family tradition that we usually eat Chinese food at our hotel room on the first night when we can’t go out and dine at a restaurant. I came across this Chinese take out place and saw tgat it was highly rated in Google maps. As always, I am in a continuous search for the best Singapore Mei Fun at every Chinese restaurant or take out place that we go to. By far, this is the best Singapore-style noodles that I have tasted!!! It was absolutely delicious!!!!! The balance of flavor - the heat from the curry, the freshness of the ingredients and the overall portion size is a lot (but I was able to finish in one sitting). I was also very satisfied and pleased with our other orders as well - triple delight and fried dumplings. I highly recommend this place and will sure be back when we visit Charleston again.

The food was hot, made fresh. We had crab ragoons, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken. It was all great. We would definitely eat here again. Thanks for a great meal.

They knock it out of the park every time. I've been eating here for 6+years. Never had a bad experience. I'm sad that today was my last order. I hope when I go back home to New Orleans I can find not only good food that the wall has but also great owners. Thank you for being awesome all these years. 💯

We had an excellent meal of many small plates, a few larger entrees, some cocktails and desert. Everything was incredible. The flavors of every single dish were so intense (a compliment) and complex & unique. Everyone was thoroughly impressed. The Nutella mousse for dessert really stood out. Can’t wait to come back

My wife and I go somewhere cool/nice (like XO) every week and this was our top pick after months of eating out at all the best Charleston area restaurants. Great atmosphere, apps, drinks, etc. also right across the street from Edmonds if you need to hang out on the patio and enjoy a beer after your dinner!

The best Chinese takeout food I’ve ever had!!! We had the Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Drop Soup, Cream Cheese Wontons appetizer, Sesame Chicken, General Tso Shrimp. Everything was delicious!!! Fast and great customer service was a plus too!

I ordered sesame chicken, egg rolls, and a quart of wonton soup and it was all great. I’d confidently say that this place is significantly better than other Chinese takeout options in the greater Charleston area.

Great food! Soup dumplings are amazing and fresh. Made daily and they actually close a few hours each day to make more because they go so quickly and I appreciate that because you bring a fresh product to your customers. Be patient for a table it’s crowded for a reason but service was spot on. Food came quickly and very well prepared. I hope the owners and chef get to read this so I can say great job and don’t change a thing !!

Incredible place to eat! We were very impressed. We have tried pretty much every dim sum in Charleston and still think this is the best!

Absolutely amazing food! Hands down, the best Chinese food I’ve had around here. I ordered two lunch plates, and they were so accommodating with customizing my order, which I really appreciated. The lo mein was packed with flavor—no extra sauce needed (and trust me, I’ve had my share of bland noodles). The beef and mushrooms were a definite must-have again, and the crispy General Tso’s chicken was perfect. Portions were generous, making for great leftovers. Definitely coming back!

the food is always amazing, but the issue i commonly run into when i want to eat here is ordering. now, im not a racist or anything but this restaurant has been around since the 80s. i’ve basically seen the owners kids grow up. but for some reason, the amount of english the owners understand has not progressed in the span of the 15 years that i’ve been eating there. i’m not expecting them to completely be fluent but goodness!! i know im nobody special to them but ive been coming here for years and order the same exact thing every time (boneless honey chicken with shrimp fried rice, amazing btw) but for some reason i have to go over the order and correct things at least 3 times. it’s not as bad when their now adult children take the order but when it’s either of the two owners taking the order it’s like pulling teeth. it’s so frustrating, and i love the food but knowing you’ll have to deal with that every time makes you wanna choose a different restaurant to avoid a headache
