Dragon King
100 percent sanitation as of 11/9/24 and very clean inside. Wonderful to see such a well cared for place. Delicious food and great change to usual fare. Chicken Mei Fun dish is pictured with 2 spring rolls and some sauce packets lol. I adore those packets of mustard. But great find here in Beaufort. I'll definitely return
First time eating here and will definite back. I ordered a lunch special General Taos and it was delicious. The egg roll was probably the best I have had and the meal was great. Good portions, great taste, hot. Friendly people and clean establishment. I know where I will be getting my Chinese food fix from now onš
House of Tang
Very nice Chinese restaurant near Parris Island. Great choice if you are here for your child, family member or friend's graduation from the Marines! I am also very pleased that the management has kept the prices at an affordable level which really helps out those who are suffering during these high inflation times. $10 per person or less is definitely the sweet spot and I really appreciate it. I'm sure all the Marines, Military families and veterans also appreciate the affordable pricing. Outside near the parking lot there is no logo or signage other than an OPEN sign, but do not let that discourage you from trying the food here. Inside is nice and clean with an interesting design for the decor. They were busy when I came around 7pm on Wednesday. Just be patient because the food is very delicious and worth the wait. I got the sweet and sour chicken with plain white rice. The chicken was cooked fresh to perfection with tasty crunchy breading on the outside with warm, juicy and yummy chicken on the inside. The sweet sauce was also very sweet and yummy which is exactly how I like it! The white rice was cooked perfectly, nice and fluffy. I paired my meal with a bottle of Lipton Raspberry White Tea (my first time trying this drink) and it is also very delicious! Employees are friendly, work hard and work as fast as they can. Five big tables to sit at with four chairs at each table and a long comfy bench wall for people to sit while waiting for takeout orders
Be aware!!! They will sell you old food!! My friend ordered me food from here and had it delivered to my job and both times I got the same thing and both times the meat was so hard you couldnāt chew it.LITERALLY!!! If youāre ordering the boneless ribs and rice combo just know the ribs are hard as rocks they will not give you fresh food even after requesting it. It was also like a dark brownish color which was another sign the meat was old and stale. Doordash will not refund mishaps like this and the restaurant excuse is ā itās suppose to be crispy because we are really busyā. Uh no mam itās suppose to be fresh, edible, and chewable. I scratched the back of my throat swallowing a small piece of āboneless ribsā. Maybe it should be called Ribless Bones because why are you all serving this to us working class people of Beaufort!!!
House of Tang 2
Coming from VA to here I expected this to be cheaper like everything else had been so far..BUT! Despite the price being higher than even the food in VA Iāll still give 5 stars because I have a feeling thereās not a lot of good Chinese restaurants around here. Also bonus they gave us sauces, forks, and napkins without having to ask for them. Thatās rare nowadays and I appreciate that.
I found a crawling ant in my lunch from this restaurant today! 𤮠I called the restaurant to inform a manager, and the rude female who I regularly see at the establishment usually ringing up orders/taking payments announced herself as the manager. I expressed the incident to her, and her response was that she "checked" the food and she asked me to bring the plate back to their restaurant so she could make me a new one... Really?! I will never eat here again. Be sure to check your meal(s) for insects!!!!
Peking Gourmet Chinese Restaurant
Peking Gourmet on Lady's Island has been a staple for Chinese cuisine since its opening in 1994! This family-owned restaurant has consistently impressed me. Recent renovations have elevated the dining experience, with a beautifully remodeled lobby featuring new chairs and tables. The updated ambiance perfectly complements the exceptional cuisine. The staff at Peking Gourmet are always welcoming and attentive, making you feel like part of the family. Peking Gourmet is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious Chinese food. Don't miss out on this Lady's Island gem!
I'm a visitor to this lovely island. I'm sure I've found a gem on the island and I'm not sure I want to share. The food was delicious and hot. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. This will be my first stop next time I come back for a visit. The portions are more than enough. I'm back home in Georgia and I'm thinking about this little restaurant on LADY'S ISLAND that knows how to cook authentic Chinese food.
China Wok
Pretty new to the area and was really craving Chinese food. We had plenty of people recommended this place to us. We tried to go on Tuesday with not much luck because they were closed but ended up getting it on Wednesday. I've had plenty of Chinese places in Michigan and this has got to be one of the top. The orange chicken was fantastic. It's not dripping in sauce which ends up turning gelatinous in the fridge and doesn't heat up well. The fried rice that came with it had bits of pork and the egg drop soup was the most flavorful that I've had in a hot minute. I highly recommend this place.
My family has been coming here for years and this is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Beaufort. The family is always super sweet and the food is the best!
Panda Express
My wife and I went to Panda Express on a Friday afternoon recently. We arrived at the restaurant at 1:00 and were able to order right away without a wait. Several tables were available and the restaurant was clean, both the dining area and the restrooms. I ordered Pepper Beef and Mushroom Chicken and my wife got a rice bowl with Orange Chicken. The food was well prepared, hot, and delicious. Their portions were reasonable as well. All in all, we had a very good experience and based on it we plan to return soon.
I would say Iām a bit of a Panda Express Expert and this location is amazing! Staff is great and worked well with the lunch rush. The orange chicken and teriyaki chicken were the freshest Iāve had at any Panda Express. If I werenāt just passing through South Carolina, Iād be there everyday!
China Dragon Chinese Restaurant
This is not a very good place to get Chinese food. I have been to hundreds of Chinese restaurants. This one was sticky. That's right. The floor the table and the plates. The line food was not hot. Only hot food I found was the wonton soup. The buffet was cool to the touch. I went here a few years back. Now I'm reminded why I have not been in a few years. Spend your money on take-out at least it will be hot.
I found the staff to be polite and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. My entire family always looks forward to have a to go for the evening. The price is a little high but I am willing to pay for clean good food. People who are finding Dragon in a negative are definitely trying to look for poor results sadly.
Panda Chinese Restaurant
Iāve lost count of how many times Iāve placed a mobile order here, and every single time the āready byā time is pure fiction. This time it told me 7:20, so I hit the drive-thru right on time. Ten minutes later, I finally get to the speaker, just to be told theyāre behind and my order still isnāt ready. Oh, and my options? Either circle back through the drive-thru like itās a theme park ride, or park and go insideābecause apparently āmobile convenienceā means ādo it yourself.ā Absolutely wild.
Food is okay. Upon calling in my order, I was met with an annoyed tone when I was nothing but friendly. After rereading the order, the speaker said a few words very quickly but I didnāt quite understand what they said. Before I could ask for clarification, they hung up abruptly. I called back to ensure my order was indeed placed because I didnāt hear a total for the cost or an estimated time for pickup. I was, again, met with a rude tone before hanging up again. Okay fine, whatever, itās getting pretty late and theyāre likely tired. I can empathize with that. My partner and his friend went to pick up the order and was charged an additional $30!!!! I added up the cost of each individual item and double checked it. Even with tax, it wouldnāt have been as much as I was charged! I have never tried panda before, but I can assure you I will NEVER be back and Iāll make sure to persuade anyone else to stay away.
