I’ve had this place a few times since moving to Mt Holly, unfortunately on Wednesday night 4/9 around 8:30pm I ordered general tso’s and sweet and sour chicken with a side of white rice. Woke up Thursday with the worst food poisoning of my life. Finally clear by Saturday. Food and service has been good prior to this but now I must find a new Chinese spot.

This was my first and certainty not my last time eating here...I had the general Tso Chicken w/ white meat and it was delicious... so much so I started eating before I took the picture. I highly recommend... and they kept a clean space which is valued...

This might be the best Chinese restaurant I've tried around Boston! The food came in fast but was also freshly cooked. The pork tongue and the whole fish were authentic. This is Shanghai Cuisine and they are indeed good at non-spicy dishes. It's also easy to find free 1-hour parking nearby. The place doesn't look fancy at all, but definitely don't overlook it!

As someone grew up in Shanghai, I can confidently say that Shanghai Cuisine in Waltham captures the essence of authentic Shanghainese flavors. Recommend Shanghai style poached chicken. It was juicy, tender, and served cold with the ginger scallion sauce. I also tried the shredded yellow eel with boiled oil which is one of my favorite Shanghai dishes. The shredded eel was silky and coated in a scallion oil sauce with just a touch of sweetness. It’s balanced and flavorful. The place brought me straight back to the tastes of home.

Oh! I forgot to show you their “fresh” crispy noodles! After telling them please DO NOT add to order if they aren’t the actual freshly fried crispy noodles, didn’t want any bagged old ones. I literally want to drive over there now and throw all this food onto their floor. I barely ate half a chicken wing that was horribly greasy , not crispy or fresh, so salty I couldn’t try the rest of chicken. Had tiny little bit of tasteless greasy fried rice , but was also so greasy like old pan grease rest tasted like, and couldn’t finish it. One bit of teriyaki chicken that was beyond so dry I could barely swallow it. This place and people are HORRID!!!! Horrid food, horrid delivery time, horrid service when things weren’t right or edible … ORDER FROM THE WALL! They get it right.

My husband and I ordered from here last night. We’re new to the area and I’ve never tried this place before the egg rolls were phenomenal. That is the only good thing I have to say about this restaurant the beef tasted funny and today we are both sick? I will never eat here again And that stink stinks because like I said, the eggrolls were great.

We had no family in town for Christmas this year, so went here to eat Christmas night. Was busy, but everyone was working hard to get us a table. Owner and daughter were so sweet and the place was very festive with the music and decorations, as well as all of the wayward people enjoying their food. The food was hot and amazing! Thankful they were open.

Reservation for 11, then added another. The Asian Cafe team was quick and responsive to accommodate our party. It was wonderful since it was like a mini family reunion. And the food was absolutely excellent, everybody had a variety of things and loved everything. The plum wine is delicious 🤤 Our sever, Savannah, superb at her craft. Checked on us at the right times, and took great care of our large group.

It’s everything you want. Fat noodle. Handmade. Perfect chili oil. Hot oil bianbiang: 11/10

Got the lamb noodles with soup, amount of lamb was pretty good for the price point in downtown. I do think University District is slightly better in terms of taste. Many people here are relating this outlet to NYC Xian foods but both aren’t related. For Seattle its a good, clean atmosphere.

So we tried to come last night with 10 people and no reservation, and it would have been an 1.5 hour wait. Well, today, everyone went home and we stayed and got seated right at our reservation time. We are not dumpling experts, but the wait staff helped tremendously. We didn't eat heavy because we just weren't sure, plus we wanted ice cream after. We got the cucumber salad, garlic green beans, crab/pork soup dumplings, and spicy pork and vegetable wontons. So tasty that we're going to come back this weekend to try the other dishes.

Loved the dining experience. Was here on a Monday evening, looks like the only time when there’s not much waiting or crowd inside. Had the chicken Xiao long bao or soup dumplings, and noodles with sesame sauce and peanuts. Dumplings were good, would have loved them to have a little more filling. Didn’t like the noodles though, as the sesame sauce and peanuts made it taste weird. Staff were inviting, especially Vince who explained everything so well, and helped me with my order.

We tried several dishes at Dough Zone, and I have to say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The Sweet & Sour Cucumber was hands down my favorite—crunchy, fresh, and the perfect way to start the meal. The Vegetable Potstickers were okay, not the standout of the evening but still decent. The Pan Fried Pork Buns were perfectly steamed and had a great balance of flavor. I also loved the Green Onion Pancake—crispy, flaky, and delicious. We ended our dinner with the Dan Dan Noodles, which were absolutely perfect—warm, comforting, and flavorful, tying the whole experience together beautifully. Despite the restaurant being jam-packed due to an event at the convention center, the food was impressively fresh and flavorful. The service was fast, the staff was polite and attentive, and the prices were super reasonable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

A classic Seattle meal. I’ve been to both this location and international district, they are consistently and delicious every time. When we walked in it was super busy (a convention happening across the street) we were told it would be about 10 minutes before we were seated but it was maybe 5. Our food came quickly, staff were friendly and helpful. Even talked us into dessert! All of their dumplings are amazing but the soup dumplings (served in a steamer basket) are definitely a favorite. The selection of teas is also worth a try, they are yummy and satisfying with or without a big meal.

All the food was made fresh to order and was delicious! The sweet and sour sauce was much prepared over others.

I love this place, 1 sweet Korean man that runs the entire place and cooks everything from scratch as it’s ordered, BY HIMSELF! that’s why it might take a little while longer to get your food because it FRESH, I love the crab Rangoon because it’s not sweet like everywhere else! His sweet and sour sauce is alittle different than normal and I love it! Please try this place if you are in Steelville!

Great Wall Restaurant

Great Wall Restaurant serves some of the best chinese food you'll find in western mass. It's not oily, overly sugared, nor full of MSG. The Great Wall was recently sold, and the new owner has maintained the quality of cuisine and some of the old menu and recipes. I recommend Chicken Chow Mein, Shrimp with cashew nuts, and their creamy Crab Rangoons, which are made out of the finest ingredients. The interior of the restaurant has been repainted with brighter colors, and the new staff is friendly and accommodating. I look forward to returning to try other dishes.

For the past few years, they seemed to be mostly take out. I was glad to be able to dine in there today, even if I was the only one. Take out service remained brisk though. I liked that they had 2 menus to choose from. I often choose from their gourmet menu. My go-to dish was always their steamed chicken, which is close to the Hainanise style ginger dish I grew up with. Today, being a wet and soggy rainy day , it only seemed appropriate to have a hot pot. The simple Chinese broccoli adds a bit of crunch to my meal. Savory and delicious.

Food is great. The other restaurants in the space are good as well. Healthy options, just check the opening hours before you go.

Divine! I haven't had a shrimp poke bowl this good since I was in Hawaii. Great service and presentation. Backstory I think could be true: her husband runs Dante's next door.

I was traveling, passing through Robertsdale with family, and was seeking somewhere to eat a good Sunday meal. Google led us here. We staked out a bit and just watched the patrons. This restaurant appeared to be popular with the locals, so we decided to try it. It was buffet style with a variety of veggies and meats to choose from. They also had peach cobbler and bread pudding for dessert selections. I made a sampler plate, so to speak... a spoonful of peas, dressing, mac-n-cheese, cream corn, and bread pudding. My son enjoyed his meal of roast beef and turnips. For me, the mac-n-cheese was the spotlight of the meal. Everything else was just ok. The one major drawback was the gnats that were resting on the cranberry sauce on the buffet. The servers were kind about it and brought fresh sauce from the kitchen. The people there were all extremely nice and attentive. That made the experience a decent one.

Incredible homestyle cooked food. I just experienced the best baked Mac n Cheese I've had in over 30 years! Wooden walls give it a unique old fashioned atmosphere and feel. Chicken was quite nice, and absolutely loved the fish on Tuesday. Victoria and Dan have done such a great job with this place. We are so happy to have this hidden gem in our little town.
