Chen VegetarianHouse
Literally the best vegetarian / vegan Asian restaurant I've ever been to. Quite possibly this is the best vegan restaurant full stop including all other food types. The service was friendly and excellent. I could not have asked for a nicer server. The food blew my mind because it was so good. They serve fresh juices and smoothies, plenty of variety of appetizers, reasonably priced lunch specials, a small selection of Thai foods, soups, sandwiches, and all of the Asian dishes you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. The spring rolls were tasty and crispy to perfection. General Tso's chicken was very yummy and came with some broccoli and rice. Everything is so tasty and I'm amazed that there are no animal products used in this restaurant. I was lucky to find free street parking right in front of the restaurant but I could imagine during busy times it might be difficult to find a place out front to park. Once I was inside, I saw a note on the menu saying that there is a free parking lot for the restaurant in back. *They do not take American Express cards so luckily I had cash on me.
I'm glad that I finally got to try Chen VegetarianHouse. I've heard about it for a long time and I know people that will drive almost an hour to eat there. The food was fantastic. Great flavors and textures for everyone to enjoy no matter what your eating preferences are. All of the food is vegan but recreates all the flavors and dishes that anyone would ever want at a Chinese restaurant. We tried the steamed dumplings, scallion pancakes, spring rolls, general tso's chicken, and the curry chicken. The staff is so helpful and friendly. It's a pleasure to dine there. Parking is accessible nearby and free on-street parking is free for long enough for your meal without worrying about running out of time.
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
Great hole in the wall chinese food. Came in for a pick up order, the food was made fast and had great flavor and was fresh. Was also grateful that they took google pay since I had forgotten my wallet.
Ordered 2 half chickens with fries. I asked the rude girl that answered the phone to make sure the chicken was fresh and not double dropped. Meaning not doubled fried. It took an hour to be delivered. One of the orders was fried so hard that the chicken was dried out. The other was okay. On a positive note...the delivery guy was nice. Will look for another place to go that has friendlier people answering the phones, are considerate to customers requests, and better tasting food.
