New Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is a modest, no-frills spot in the old town center that has been serving the community for years. The decor is dated, and the space feels a bit worn, but the family who runs it is warm and welcoming. The food is simple and familiar, with classic Chinese dishes that are satisfying, though not particularly remarkable. It’s the kind of place you go for a quick, affordable meal rather than a gourmet experience. While it might not stand out, it’s a reliable choice if you’re looking for decent, straightforward Chinese food in a comfortable, laid-back setting.

For fairness and perspective 9:17 phone call for take out knowing they close at 10:00. Attitude on the other end of phone should have deterred our order but when you are craving Chinese food why let a bad employee deter you? Order was ready on pick up just after 9:30. I guess its our bad for thinking the sweet and sour sauce would be included with sweet and sour chicken, as it is everywhere else? Or maybe it would have been with the crab rangoon (which was laughably small) which usually has the sauce. Mistakes happen, we all make them. On top of these little mistakes this was hands down the most undesirable Chinese food we have ever experienced. Only comparable to unflavored leftovers of an under seasoned gas station stir fry, which is more compliment that it deserves. Tell us you’re closed next time, or just close the doors period if this is how you really are. Do better.

We love this place. The food is amazing every time. I have many friends who love the food as well. Roger is the best!! We all highly recommend it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment I walked in, they were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared surprisingly fast without compromising quality. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and you can really taste the care they put into their food. If you're looking for delicious Chinese cuisine with great service, this is definitely the place to go.

The girl at the counter who took my lunch order was extremely friendly and well mannered. The food is your typical Americanized Chinese food spot and I found no problems with it. Store is small but quaint. Their only problem has nothing to do with them but the fact that they have to share a space with a marijuana dispensary next door so the entrance just smells like weed. Update : pretty sure dispensary was shutdown

This place is the best. I drive 31 miles from where I live just to go here because honestly this is THE BEST Chinese I've ever had. I've been here a long time ago and I was hoping that it was still here and I was so happy it was. I've had multiple different places food and it was never the same. The Lucky Kitchen is by far the best. They even gave me a free dish to go with what I ordered, Thank you!! I can't wait to be back here again I 100% recommend

Tried for the first time tonight and was excellent! We got two combo meals, an extra egg roll and an order of crab rangoons for $40, which I thought was a very reasonable price. Also the crab rangoons were AMAZING. The best I’ve ever had. Restaurants never put enough filling in them, but these were huge and perfect! Lucky kitchen- please never change your crab rangoons🫶🏻

I always love Lucky Star, food is good and they give you a LOT of it. Ordering online I've heard people have had issues but I personally never have, usually you just show up like 25 minutes after you order and give them the last 4 of your phone number and it's either ready or very close. Love these guys.

Skip Wellsboro’s Chinese restaurant for this one. It is worth the 15-20 min drive. The portions are big, the flavours are authentic yet not too salty. The broccoli is cooked to perfection, and the shrimps are very large. My only complaint is that they use too much oil on the garlic sauce, and they need to add more vegetables to the Singapore Mei Fun.

Went to this restaurant tonight cuz our family wanted a good Chinese meal. Fiance ordered orange chicken. I ordered chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice and all we got was a bowl of chicken with fluid and no orange chicken. Then an added weird orange, sweet and sour sauce with nothing else with it LOL With a little bit of pork fried rice I get all the way home and find out we didn't get anything and still had to pay $30. Not very happy!

love this place so much!! i’ve lived in wellsboro my entire life and it’s genuinely my favorite chinese restaurant in town (and nearby). the food is always amazing, i normally get the spicy general tso’s platter and it’s always perfect. sometimes some pieces of chicken are crispier than others by that is by no means bad. i honestly like it more, it’s just pieces that were cooked a bit longer. their eggrolls are amazing and so is their sweet and sour sauce which they give you a huge cup of. the service is absolutely amazing, all of the workers are super sweet and kind and the food is always brought out quickly. i love the atmosphere of the restaurant even though it lacks a lot of decoration. maybe it’s because i came here alot with my family growing up and i watched the layout change, it’s clean and comfortable even though it could use some more decor on the walls. they have a nice section by the counter with things like keychains, pocket mirrors, little bags, etc. even legit sanrio (hello kitty) stuff! overall an amazing place and i would definitely recommend it! :)

I thought I had posted a review previously, but I can’t find it. This is the BEST Chinese I’ve ever had and I’m very picky! All of their food is FRESH! No frozen junk. I’ve never had a bad meal there and they go above and beyond. I enjoy that their online ordering system allows for additions and special instructions. You can even choose your spice level! The only issue I had was not being able to pay online as someone else was picking my food up. I called and they simply took my credit card info. So now that I know that’s an option, I’m no longer concerned about not being able to pay online. I just want to say it again, THIS IS THE BEST CHINESE you can get! My ultimate favorite is that they use real Chinese vegetables instead of using fillers like zucchini and squash like other local establishments. The chicken tastes like real chicken, the shrimp is larger size than most places and good quality. I could go on and on about this Jewel of a place. I just placed an order ten minutes ago, and I can’t wait for my dinner! 😋
