Number 1 Chinese Restaurant
Thier food is disgusting! I ordered wonton soup and 2 combination platters through door dash. Don't waste your money. The wonton soup was a dark yellow in color and had a thick bland taste to the broth. The wontons were full of starch. Shrimp with Garlic sauce was bland and tasted horrible. Egg rolls were ok. Chinese places in Royersford and this one use to be good, believe me when I say this not anymore. I feel most of the places in this area are a hit or a miss. 5 years ago I ordered from this place and the food was great. I would of eaten their food back then and even ordered delivery but they didn't deliver back then. $6.99 for delivery charge and $10.00 tip for dasher and food was almost $48 . So don't be stupid like I was. This place went down hill for sure. Tasteless disgusting food.
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. There food is delicious, specifically the steamed pork dumplings and the dumpling sauce (so good). There's a minimum price for card transactions and they're closed on Tuesdays.
Tang's Garden
We were so disappointed in our general tsp chicken and orange chicken entree. The only thing we could physically eat was the white rice that came with it. Our chicken was so hard we basically just kept chewing it until we had to spit it out. And the pork fried rice didn’t even look like it was fried in anything.. it was white. We’re new to the area and thought we’d try them out. Not again
It's a neighborhood Chinese takeout joint. It gives you a distinctive impression of being a dive from outside (and inside), but the food is very good with generous portions. There are three-four tables, and we decided to dine in at this time. I thought Bourbon Chicken was very good. Lunch Specials (11 to 3, $7.49, except a couple of lobster dishes) are served Wednesday through Monday (Tuesday is their day off). Combo plate (even bigger portions) is $10.95 with a spring roll (unfortunately it wasn't too good IMHO), so it's a much better deal to get a lunch special for sure. Incidentally, a spring roll is $1.95 if you ordered it on the side. Their pork (cha siu) fried rice that comes with both Lunch Special and Combo plate is excellent. Enjoy!
China Star
I think they overuse oil here far too long because at first bite you could taste something off. I ordered for 4, all 4 of us started becoming a little sick as we ate it. 2 had chicken wings, 1 had sweet and sour chicken, and the other wonton soup. The pork fried rice was too hard, even after adding water to steam it. The eggroll was not great either. I took 1 bite then spit it out. There was an odd bitterness to the food, that I am certain comes from overusing the same frying oil. It destroys any flavor it could possibly have. I definitely will not be going back. The people are nice but the food is just not good.
Good takeout! My only complaint is calm the heck down with the scallions in the meat mix in the center of the wanton in the wanton soup. I know times are tough but stop using them so much as filler as it downright overpowering.
