Sichuan Gourmet
It's very nice inside, and while the food has good unique flavor, it almost doesn't matter when 70% of your dish is inedible. Its also very spicy so be prepared. I like spicy and after the initial shock you get used to it and get the flavor. However in the one dish I believe was the chicken flaming pan the chicken was literally all bones and tendons. The other dish was kung pao chicken with odd pieces of chicken with inedible dry pieces of chili pepper and what I would figure are boiled peanuts with an odd texture. Both dishes had almost no vegetables in them as well, and part of the one I'm pretty sure I tasted soap in it. (Not cilantro, I love cilantro, it did not have it in the dish) I'd say to try it once as a flavor experience but I could otherwise never recommend this place for anyone who is ordering to actually eat something. I've had food here twice and this was the same both times. Below is a photo to show how much of the dish was inedible next to its container. That's all bones, tendons, and skin.
Friendly stuff. Authentic food. I’m very satisfied and gad a time there.
New Dumpling & Sushi House
Loved the shrimp tempura here! It's nothing extra special but really tasty battered shrimp (see picture). I liked the taste of batter itself! Ordered steamed chicken dumplings but the stuffing inside was a bit bland for me but seemed healthy. Hunan chicken was good and little bit spicy but I would prefer really less oil in it.
This is the best Chinese restaurant in Pittsburgh. Although all the dishes are awesome. My favorite is vegetable egg rolls paired with chicken fried rice. The egg rolls are crispy outside doughy layers then filled with cabbage and veggies. The chicken fried rice is made to perfection.
Gold Ladle Asian Cuisine 金汤勺·蜀道香
I stopped by for a quick lunch, and the noodles were absolutely delicious! Despite the lunch rush, the food was served super fast, and the quality was outstanding. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and the price is incredibly affordable for such great taste. Will come back next time
Highly recommend the new dishes - beef briskets stewed with potatoes. The flavor is rich, and beef cubes are tender, and the sauce is flavorful. Will come back again!
