New China
Very small Buffet line but very tasty I choose this place over Lin’s palace the food is very flavorful and you can also order Togo the are an actual restaurant that has a buffet in there as well very hole in the wall vibes but a must to go to.
I've been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my son and he loves it as much as I do. Food still taste the same and not overly priced.

Worst takeout experience, I used DoorDash and the order said it was getting prepared and picked up by the dasher, then I get a phone call from the dasher saying the restaurant’s “internet was down” and they did not receive the order so she had to manually put it in for me. I verified the original order with her as she communicated it to the restaurant worker: Tofu and Veggies (Spicy) with steamed rice and side of Crispy Noodles. When I receive the dish I get BEEF… and I’m a vegetarian. I try calling the restaurant directly and keep getting a machine that says they cannot take phone calls… I feel like this is purposefully done so they can avoid talking to unhappy customers like me. Plus the presentation looked terrible, it was leaking everywhere in the bag… what happened to using the takeout Tupperware that’s sealed and using a separate container for the rice and main dish so the rice doesn’t get soggy in the juices? The only good thing was the side of crispy noodles and I ate around the beef since I was starving… was not good. I read quite a lot of bad reviews on this place and I regret giving them the benefit of the doubt that my experience would turn out better.
Under new ownership and place has gone very much downhill since. Used to come here back in the day, not much like before. Place has not been maintained at all and interior from the 70s is really starting to show its age. Food was very chewy and crab Rangoons extremely greasy and made my stomach ache. Just overall terrible makes Hyvee and Panda Express Chinese food look gourmet. Service was fine only plus, despite them sitting at a table and having their kids run around while you are trying to eat. Also dressed in sweat pants. Had an old building smell and moldy ceiling panes. Lot of homeless people around the area and next to the entrance. I would pass on this place at all costs so many better options than here, trust me! Don’t believe some of the fake 5 star reviews i noticed lately posted about this restaurant... you have been warned!! FYI i also checked the most recent restaurant inspections by douglas county health department, received only a “FAIR” ranking which is the worst you can get other than next which is being shut down!

Will be coming back, I really liked this place! It was worth coming to on an off/day time (good luck getting in on a Saturday night with no reservations). The cumin lab noodles were so good and so spicy with great flavor. Next I want to try the spicy beef noodles it was that good. Wontons in chili oil were great, definitely save the oil and put it on your rice. The eggplant and garlic sauce was good and a good balance to the spice of the lamb. Cute spot for a date night, highly recommend!
I was craving spicy Sichuan cuisine and decided to stop by here after running some errands. I was not disappointed. I ordered the fresh hand-ripped flat noodles with spicy beef and the scallion pancakes. My beverage was the homemade ginger ale with lime juice. The noodle dish had the right amount of hot chili oil and minced garlic. These flavors did not overwhelm the noodles or beef. The cilantro and scallion garnish was just the right amount. I would have liked more baby bok choi, but that's okay. The noodles were cooked to the right softness, just beyond al dente. The beef was a bit tough though. The scallion pancakes were crispy and not to oily, but need more scallions. The ginger ale was very sour from the lime and I couldn't taste any ginger ale. Basically it was a glass of lime-onade. I had to request sugar to make it drinkable. The ambiance was okay, a bit crowded on the 1st floor. They could dial back the music volume. I did not visit the main dining room on the 2nd floor. The bill total was $31 +tip, the value was balanced for Center City. All in all, it was a good dining experience and will come back & recommend to others.
