Far East Chinese Cuisine
Gary, the owner, was really hospitable and helpful while we were passing through the area and needed a place to pause after a long day in the car. Vegetable hofun (wide rice noodle) had lots of veggies - broccoli, carrots, bokchoy, onions, bean sprouts and zucchini. We don’t have Chinese takeouts that offer hofun in our area, so it was a nice treat.
Seriously the best take out Chinese food I can even remember having. The rice wasn’t too soft, the veggies were fresh & not overcooked, the chicken was tender & not rubbery & the kung pao sauce was perfect in flavor and proportionate to the rice/chicken/veggies.
Han Dynasty
Han Dynasty was good but not great. I went during the week and it was not crowded. The staff was very nice. However, service was a little slow - considering the number of customers there. I ordered a few things to try on the menu. My favorite was the Dan Dan noddles! Everything else was just okay in flavor/taste.
We’ve only been once but our experience was pretty good. Fast friendly server/service. I believe they are byob. Dumplings were very good. I particularly loved the lo mein noodles and scallion pancakes. The dry pot i ordered was delicious. The only thing is i ordered it too spicy. They go by spice levels. As someone who can generally eat spicy food a 5 was too hot for me. I’ll stick to 1-3 from now on. It also had a lot of chili flakes understandably since i ordered a 5 but too many chilis or flakes drives me crazy. It was no big deal just picked them out. My friend ordered the pumpkin pot and she enjoyed it. I would definitely check them out again.
Shan Chuan
This restaurant has been my go-to spot for Chinese food and sushi for years, and it never disappoints. The staff is always welcoming and incredibly friendly, making every visit a pleasant experience. The food is consistently great, but the sushi stands out, especially the salmon sushi, which is always fresh and never misses. Whether you want to dine in, a cozy and quaint experience or take out, this place doesn't miss!
Quiet, delicious restaurant that is definitely worth going to. Great service and even better food!
Angela
The service here is just as good as the food and the food is just... bad of course I'm comparing this place to some of the best chinese food I've eaten in Philadelphia. From china town to the northeast this place just doesn't serve good food. I ordered General Tso's Chicken asked to make it spicy too. It was the sweetest general tso's chicken I've ever eaten not to mention very chewy, I was chewing this chicken for a good time before it finally broke down and even then it was extremely stringy like eww... the fried rice was disgusting it was more greasy than any rice I've ever eaten. The Peper Steak with Onions tasted weird... and not in a good way I will never spend my money here again. Worst experience I've ever had with chinese food.
Angela’s is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had!! She’s amazing. Everything is always hot and good portions. Her place is very clean and organized. I love it, just keep coming back for more.
Happy family lin
I order 51 and shrimp fried rice platter A little after 10:30 PM on a Sunday. They said they were getting ready to close shortly But still insisted on taking my order when I called.. My wings was moist.. fried rice was still hard n it was tails on a few of my 3-4 shrimp. Just b closed... don't rush da grub.
The food to value ratio is unmatched. Also the food was delicious. Now there was a little wait, but it was well worth the product that was put out. Will def go again.
Beijing Garden
Asked for delivery and they rushed me off the phone after I asked many times about them taking my card. Called back about 45 minutes later asking if we were coming to pick up the food so we had to wait even longer for our food. Ordered at 2:00 pm and didn't get my food until 3:40 and it wasn't worth the wait.
Love absolutely love that chicken wings always good and crispy
First Wok
Excellent customer service! They’re really nice about taking your order, give options and re-ask to make sure you get the right order. The food’s pretty clean - not a bunch of grease. And very reasonably priced too. Gf liked her veg lo mein and my ribs were pretty good. Not a lot of honey or sugar flavor but really solid. I’m sure there’s nothing bad on the menu and definitely will be back .
Tonight was the first time ever ordering from here and I always get the general tso chicken because it's the trickiest to make right and will definitely order there again so good. Very fast delivery and they called me when they arrived.
China House
For nearly $12, I’d expected more than just 4 shrimp. Also, the rice had an off taste. Sucks because I’ve been coming here for years but things have been getting out of hand. Plus it’s cash only which is also kinda shady. The shrimp was good but honestly threw the rest away.
They deliver very fast! 15-20 minutes. food was fresh and tasted really good. We ordered a small chicken and broccoli, small shrimp fried rice, 1 pizza roll and an order of crab rangoon. i recommend all the items we ordered and the portions were quite big, payed $25 including delivery
China Wok
Make no mistake. Don’t expect awesome Chinese food. This place serves its purpose incredibly well which is food that tastes good enough for incredible value in price and portion sizes. If you like Panda Express, you will like this place. For $47 we got enough food for 4 meals (5-6 if you are a light eater or with kids). The value is crazy good and perfectly met expectations.
It's a hole in the wall chinese takeout spot. You already know what to expect and they execute perfectly. It's a privilege to live walking distance from this place. Never skip the egg role.
Panda House
People behind the counter were really nice
Came to pick up my order and they'd forgotten to make it so i had to leave without food. Extremely disappointed.
Panda Garden
i genuinely think this is the worst chinese food i've ever had in my life-- shrimp lo mein overcooked, mushy, and soaked in grease, fried rice somehow undercooked right next to it, wonton soup tastes like dishwater and the TWO wontons are huge and don't have nearly enough filling to justify the size, crab rangoon so greasy i gagged biting into it, and this sweet tea somehow tastes like grape koolaid-- never coming back here EVER again
Went here for the first time and ordered chicken rice soup, BBQ ribs, and General Tso's chicken--3 items I most often get from take-out places. The person taking my order was nice, and ordering and paying was fine. Atmosphere-wise, it's a basic take-out place. They did have several chairs for sitting and waiting, which I appreciated. The soup tssted best to me of the 3 items, but the chicken pieces were weird in shape and texture--really soft, like maybe pulverized chicken powder was remade into chicken bits...? Not great. The BBQ ribs were nice and tender, but super salty and overly charred to the point of parts of them being burnt to inedible. Not a lot of BBQ flavor. The General Tso's had a thick layer of breading, which kept the crunchiness, but overwhelmed the amount of chicken, and the chicken was again a weird texture, as with the soup. The sauce was ok, not very good. The broccoli was a bit rubbery. The white rice that accompanied was fine. The total was around $27 (tip separate.) My stomach felt "off" for 2 days after eating here. I won't be going back.
Hong Kong Restaurant
Best tasting general tos chicken I've ever had in my entire life
Best Chinese takeout in the area. Kind of scary at night because of Bar a few doors down. But otherwise the food is great and alway fresh.
