Hidden Gem with Amazing Food and Service I’ve always been curious about this place but hesitated to try it because of the exterior—it looks like a takeout spot from the outside. Last week, I finally decided to go in and was pleasantly surprised. Inside, it’s a clean and inviting dine-in restaurant. The restaurant was empty, which made me a little sad, especially after trying the food—it’s unbelievably good! I ordered the Chongqing spicy chicken, scallion pancake, liang pi, and hot and sour soup. Every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The scallion pancake had a uniquely crisp crust, and the hot and sour soup was packed with veggies, button mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, tofu, and eggs. It was comforting, delicious, and felt healthy—exactly what you need on a cold day. They even offer small and large pot options, which is great for any appetite. Service was phenomenal, and the food arrived quickly. The quality and quantity of food for the price were unbeatable. If you’re in the neighborhood, don’t overlook this spot. It’s a hidden gem that deserves more attention. I’ll definitely be back!

Got the Chinese pork hamburger and the liang pi for takeout late at night. It was tasty and felt a bit homemade. The flavor was good, but not particularly notable if you’ve tried other places. More of a soy sauce flavor. The “hamburger” bun was on the bready and soft side. The liang pi was a cold dish. It was on the firmer side and not as chewy. Friend got the pepper chicken which was good and within expectations of Chinese takeout.

Overall, the food was average, but the Dan Dan noodles were a standout. The rest of the dishes were just okay. The environment was nothing special—pretty noisy due to the crowd. I recommend making a reservation in advance. Even on weekdays, it’s quite busy, and on weekends, expect to wait in line. Recommended Dishes: Dan Dan Noodles – Highly recommended! Fragrant, slightly spicy, and really appetizing. It had that authentic flavor that reminded me of home. Stir-Fried Pork Trotters – Served with green peppers and small chunks of pork trotter. It’s decent, but picking up the meat takes some chopstick skill. Spicy Boiled Beef – Quite disappointing. The beef had an odd lamb-like taste, and it was coated in a thick layer of seasoning, which overpowered the meat’s flavor. Surprisingly, the cabbage in the dish was more enjoyable than the beef.

The spicy home style tofu was delicious. The dried sticky rice cake with brown sugar dipping sauce was an absolutely life changing experience and I can’t stop thinking about that delicious doughy dessert! Very vegan friendly. I had no problems here. Great staff too. And quick service.

Ordered a take out, the portion was so little that it didn't even fill the small bowl. Charged me 24 bucks and didn't even come with rice. Never coming back.

Nice family operated business! Close to railway. Good Food 🥘 👍 😊 fast service and food

I came to eat alone: so I can only do the $26.99 all you can eat option (the one that exclude Cajun seafood thing). The $26.99/person All you can eat (included non-alcohol drinks) with tax $29.15 I love that there are so many drink choices that included in the buffet (see attached picture) because not many hot pot restaurants do this. Tom Yum soup is delicious! The owners are friendly and patient with me too! Will definitely come back whenever I visit Philly!!!

Great selection of veggies and protein! The cajun food is a nice touch and the family that runs the place definitely care about this business. Come check it out! Feels better paying $40 a person on a Saturday night when you know it’s going to this family business. The unlimited drinks in the fridge is a nice touch, too. I recommend the green grape drink!

Had the most amazing experience here! Was hosted for an event, and the food was top tier. This is the best elevated Chinese food I’ve ever had. They have unique dishes such as blueberry general tso’s! You can tell they use top quality ingredients as well. Service was fantastic, and the decor and ambiance is elevated and beautiful. Highly recommend- I think this is the best Chinese cuisine in Chinatown/philly! They serve alcohol as well!

The food is delicious and portions are big. Please note that their dishes are generously portioned. We recommend inquiring about serving sizes before placing your order, unless you are dining with a large group.

this is my most favorite place to eat in Chinatown, and one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. the food is so fresh, flavorful, and authentic. you can really tell a lot of work and love is put into the food. for under $10 you can get a big ol bowl of hand made noodles served in a complex and comforting broth. most times, i am unable to finish my bowl of ramen, but i walk out feeling so full, warmed, and ready for a nap. my husband and i love this spot and we have so many great memories here. we’ve brought friends and family. i often come here by myself to read, write, watch tv, or really just sit there and enjoy the atmosphere and i always feel welcomed. you can tell other patrons feel the same, often coming to sit, eat, and watch tv for awhile because it feels so homey. please come and support this small business! thank you for the amazing service:)

We really love the chongqing fried chicken and the perfect taste soup here. The boneless chicken is so tender and crispy, you just can’t stop trying it.

Food was really good: despite how insanely spicy it was (I literally started coughing), it was extremely savory, flavorful, and good for the price. The waitress was also really nice and I had a good time here: the robot deserves some praise too lol. 9/10

Recommend: make your own bowl (soup and stir fry) Good: Peking duck wrap, fried fish fillet. Be careful the spicy is pretty spicy. If you would normally order medium at other restaurants, I would suggest getting mild here. The scallops were not worth it in the stir fry but we were impressed that some specialty ingredients like the pig's blood, pea sprouts, and chanterelle mushrooms were available. They do cook everything together so some of the leafy greens might be a bit wilted. The fried fish was nicely crispy but tasted more like breading than fish
