Peking Palace Chinese Restaurant
Excellent service and the Chinese food is delicious and different. I come from Brooklyn, NY, where Chinese food there is known to be the finest. It all looks nice and yellow and very flavorful. But here, the food features are less vivid visibly, and the flavor is not overwhelming. Hence, the mixed reviews. But the reality is that their food is naturally made and not americanized. You can tell it's true because this place is family owned, and it feels like you're walking into a welcoming home when you enter an amazing place to dine. The rice is not plastic the next day, and the food is overall more filling than average Chinese food. They got the edge over others by providing good, tasting homemade Chinese food over typical cheap stuff made from leftovers.
Affordable and tasty food! Family stopped by a few times recently and we especially loved the general tso chicken and shrimp Lo mein. They definitely use fresh ingredients and the food tastes delicious - will definitely be back! The service was also great, and it always feels nice to support a local business serving authentic Asian cuisine.
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
4 hrs after eating here I started feeling very sick. I ended up being admitted into the hospital for 2.5 days! Stomach pumped and iv antibiotics from severe food poisoning! I ordered the chicken on a stick ( not breaded ) with vegetables and fried rice. I have never been so sick in my life! I will NEVER eat here again!! Just making others aware. I have ate here before and no issues. Not sure what's happening here.
I’ve been eating from Great Wall since I was a kid, and they’ve never ceased to make the BEST food ever!! I have ARFID which limits my ability to eat and foods I can eat, however, Great Wall has ALWAYS been perfect for it, and always accommodated my food issues. (I especially like the beef and broccoli, absolutely 10/10 and I eat it every New Year’s Eve) it’s not only extremely delicious, but it’s not pricy like most places tend to be. Very worth the price, and honestly feels a bit like a steal!
Wang's Garden Chinese Restaurant
This is my favorite Chinese takeout that I've been too and I've been to a lot of them in Franklin and Fairfield counties. Everything always tastes so fresh, I've never had anything bad, and it's always done quickly. The egg rolls are my favorite egg rolls I've had as well with the perfect amount of ginger. The spring rolls are fantastic as well and I'm hard to please with those. I love their Schezwan Chicken as well as thier Chow Mai Fun but you can't go wrong with anything from here.
Very good food and good people running the place. We drive here from Laurelville once a week or more. Best Chinese food in Ohio!
Sun Hing Chinese Restaurant
Food is very hit and miss. I have gone to this establishments on a few occasions. Sometimes the food is really good, other times the food is not good. Sometimes the lo mein is spot on, other times they put too much salt on it. They're very inconsistent.
the wings was maddddd goood . They really marinated them mfs with love they had ode flavor and were crispy ash but not dry yameannn. House special fried rice was bussin too they give you a good portion. but yea everything was fresh, workers were friendly. Better than my spot in York for a fact. If I’m ever in the Area again this my go to 💯
Golden Gate Chinese Restaurant
Great Chinese restaurant! My husband found out about this place and it's one of his favorites now. He says that the lo mein is the best he's ever had. Overall great place and definitely recommend it.
Great place to get good food at good price. Very friendly and accommodating. We love to pick up and go! EVEN in the snow!!
China House Restaurant
Ordered general tso's chicken with reg. Noodles for my 11yr old son yesterday. This ended in me driving to hospital after taking 1 bite of meat. He is allergic to peanuts and immediately started feeling his throat itching, chest pain and unable to swallow. I was so upset, allergens should be listed on menu items including common allergens. We've ordered before this same meal from other places and never had an issue. We stopped here because we went to Walmart after a game and he was hungry. Would never order from them or recommend to anyone.
We have tried every chinese take out in the lancaster area and China House is by far the best. House fried rice is spot on. We actually order the fried dumplings for dinner parties, a favorite appetizer!
P.F. Chang's
My first two visits weren’t very impressive. The prices are reasonable for the portions you get. This time, however, my waitress, Tess, was great, and everything we ordered exceeded my expectations. The spare ribs were cooked to perfection, though they could use a bit more honey or something to balance out the salty soy flavor. Overall, we enjoyed the quick brunch. Convenient location to meet up and spend time with friends.
This was a great meal and we had great service. For a party of 7 we were seated almost immediately and we got appetizers very soon after ordering. Our server lady was very attentive to our needs and the flavors of each item were delicious. I love the Asian fusion vibes and sleek modern/traditional blend of the interior. Overall, comfortable seating, great service, and delicious food.
Yi Pin
Most authentic Chinese restaurant in Lancaster! Great, kind service. The owner always comes out to check-in on the guests and makes sure that everyone is satisfied. The food is delicious, fresh, and very very authentic. There’s a separate menu for the Chef’s specials that include fresh seafood and vegetables. Lots of spicy options, but also there are lots of non-spicy alternatives, and they are always willing to make things less spicy or not spicy at all (upon request). For those who are looking for more traditional Chinese American cuisine, they also have a large selection of those common dishes. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
On a snowy winter night, we wanted to try something new and randomly selected Yi Pin from Google. Little did we know that we would stumble upon such a splendid restaurant! Despite its unimposing exterior and unremarkable location along Columbia Ave, this truly is a hidden gem! The restaurant has a special ambience, with decorations and music to welcome guests. Our food was delectable, and the portions were extremely generous. We will definitely return to Yi Pin again soon!
Hong Kong Garden
I absolutely loved my experience tonight! Steve went above and beyond to provide a great experience to a friend that hasn’t tried Chinese Food before; she loved the Sesame Seed Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and more! Definitely stop by if you’re interested in a genuinely hospitable establishment!
As much as we appreciated the service and interior, food made us unwell. It’s a busy takeout restaurant with a beautiful yet empty dining room. Service was outstanding. Very professional and attentive. Food however tasted good, put us through a little stomach trouble the next day.
Oriental Chinese Restaurant
I had to call back three times to get my order and each time I had to repeat my self multiple time, the food got here faster then expected which is good but found hair in my food I know it wasn’t anyone in my house because it was black and straight, everyone in my house has curly brown hair.
Please go back to the original boneless spare ribs cause what the heck are these. They have been terrible since probably 2020 so please go back to how they used to be back in like 2017-2018. They look different, they taste weird, the color is different, they are so dry now. This used to be my favorite Chinese spot since i was a little girl and now i barely like it.
Yang's
this is not the same yangs of old. you order at the registers for take out or dine in where they bring it to your table. water and hot tea is at a separate table with utensils and sauces. -i ordered hot and sour soup- more spicy than anticpated but good. -pork fried rice was soft, lacked flavor -shrimp lo mein had good flavor. firm and tasted more like stir fried udon. -we got the dragon and phoenix special (general tso was a little dry, the shrimp didnt have any spicy, only sweetness) the food was average, the set up was a little odd as you ordered and paid at the register so i didnt know if i should tip (i did). the workers were friendly and checked up on is. there was a sheet separating the kitchen from the register, i suspect there is still construction to be done. I wouldnt make a special trip to get food from here. they should change the name otherwise people would expect the same food from the previous owners. RIP velvet chicken corn soup.
Best Chinese Food in Lancaster: By far, best pork fried rice!! Been coming to Yangs since I was little. Went on the final open day a year or two back, was very sad to think they'd never open again. 7/14/24 - We saw a post that Yang's was opening again and decided we MUST try them again for lunch. Building looks great, some must-needed improvements were made. My only complaint is how hot it was inside, hopefully that'll be fixed in the future :). Very happy to see the business open once again.
Ginmiya (Chinese Japanese & Thai Restaurant)
Been coming here for years but the past few months the lady who takes the phone orders has become quite rude. She insists that I cannot order house duck sauce with my crispy noodles yet the guy who takes the order always lets me so it’s clearly doable. It’s something they make and hand out to the tables when you dine in so It can’t be that hard to put some in a container to go (as they have many times for me). I pay for the crispy noodles in my takeout order as expected. Why can’t they just charge a fee for the house duck sauce like they do for everything else? Nonetheless, anytime I call, this becomes a small argument over SAUCE. I’m directed to get the packets which taste completely different and are awful. Today I got the guy on the phone and was excited to get my sauce without an argument. Well… no sauce… just packets. My crispy noodles and egg rolls were dry without them. It honestly just blows my mind that they hold this sauce hostage for takeout orders. I’ll be looking for a new Chinese restaurant in the area that doesn’t make this a huge deal and is nicer to their patrons.
Food was okay; service was interesting. The restaurant was bit cold because the heater wasn’t working. I have ordered Thai fried rice which wasn’t bad but not amazing. The place was little bit empty so we didn’t order any sushi
