Dragon China
Good Chinese takeout in Johnstown We got the General Tso's combo and the shrimp with veggies combo, both with pork fried rice. It was an easy tasty dinner — thanks
Had the pepper steak with shrimp fried rice. Cook to perfection. Great taste. Good food. Fast and friendly service.
China House
This place has amazing food and great service the steamed dumplings and the egg rolls are by far the best in the area. We also loved the sweet and sour chicken, general Tao chicken and the orange chicken dishes. We are definitely going back.
A very small local Vinco Chinese carry out. They do have a couple of tables, so you can eat in, but nothing special. The staff are very friendly and polite. The food was fresh and tasty. The prices were reasonable. I ordered the Chinese pork ribs which were delicious. I also ordered the chow mein fun, Singapore ( chicken, pork and shrimp) rice noodles. This usually comes as a spicy curry, the curry level was extremely low, but everything was very tasty.
Rosalinda Express
Been here many times. Very friendly staff, fresh food and well priced. Great place to gran lunch
The Best. Will definitely keep going back. The Pork Adobo. Try it. You'll love it. The portions are huge. Well worth the $$
Szechuan East
We ordered takeout here. We ordered the bigger combination appetizer with short ribs. The short ribs and meat on a stick were so burnt and dry that they were like jerky. They were completely inedible. The fortune comes were stake. The chicken with mushrooms were very oily and tasted like they were in an old musty refrigerator. I'm not usually one to post about these things, but it's worth telling people to not waste their money.
I have always enjoyed the food here; fresh, hot and tasty. This last time we spend about $50 and it was all horrible! So dry; overcooked even the chips that come with it for free were horrible, no sauce, the meat was like rubber and the noodles and rice had no flavor. Highly disappointed.
Main Moon
This was my first time eating here and I definitely will be back. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was very clean as was the restrooms. We were served our beverage right away and then headed for the buffet. There are so many choices so I tried small portions of many things. The food was delicious. The staff was very nice and the price is great. Keep up the great work. Highly recommend 🥰
Everything about this place was terrible customer service wasn’t even good got asked what we wanted to drink, it never came had to ask for them to bring it. The food… DISGUSTING like seriously bad the worst food I have ever had in my entire life and I have been all over the United States and tired many places. The flavor on some of the food was just non existent and some of it just very dry. The soda tasted absolutely disgusting I feel like me and my wife wasted our money at this place terrible. And everyone around town highly talks it up it’s not worth it at all. Nothing tasted good. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!! Not to mention I’m writing this the day after eating there and our we have stomach pains and can’t stay out of the bathroom.
Little House
The food was very good! a surprise: there will be authentic Chinese food in Johnstown! Huge portions and only half the usual price! The boss is warm and thoughtful!
This hidden gem in Johnstown CO was a treat to find. The food was very good and as fresh as it gets. Our server was so kind and sweet. Very attentive to all her guests. The owner was also very kind. Bathrooms were very clean, along with the restaurant. There are tables, booths, and a sushi bar in the front. Now, on to the food. 1. Appetizers: rangoon and fried spring rolls. Definitely delicious and flavorful rangoon. Didnt seem to be factory because the ingredients were fresh and the flavor profile was specific, not bland. Spring rolls were good as well. Fresh cut cabbage in them. 2. Entree 1 was their orange beef with fried rice. The fresh orange scent was the first thing I noticed when the food was served. The beef cuts were very tender and fried in a typical asian coating. But, it was hand made, tender, flaky, and easy on the pallette. This dish came with a side of broccoli and orange slices. 3. Entree 2 was their orange chicken. Reason, to compare the beef to the chicken. This dish came with lomein. First lets talk about the lomein. We could order the lomein as a meal its own. It was that tasty. Now, the orange chicken. I am thinking the chicken was cuts of chicken thigh. A great choice for this dish. Again, the dredged chicken cuts were tender and flaky just like the beef. Both entrees had a perfectly gelled orange sauce with little orange rind shavings in it. A few red pepper flakes to off set the citrus notes. This dish was also served with a side of broccoli and orange slices. 4. Unagi or Eel & cucumber roll: This is a perfect way to test a sushi bar. And, I was impressed by the Unagi. It was well made and presented well on the platter. It tasted as what you would expect for a good Unagi roll. I do not usually give 5 stars on a first visit to any establishment. But, Little House Chinese and Sushi went above and beyond. If you want fresh hand made Chinese, I highly suggest Little House as your next stop for Chinese food. We drove over 55 miles to try them and we were not disappointed. You will notice we tasted the food before taking photos so my apologies, but it was really that good.
Peking Place
I ordered the crab ragoonand there was no crab them. The sweet and sour chicken was just sour. I usually don’t have a problem but tonight the food was just bad.
I had curry chicken. The sauce and spices unlike any curry chicken I'd ever had. The flavor was not good at all. The hot and sour soup, however, was delicious.
Lychee Chinese Gourmet
We had 1 large shrimp fried rice, 1 small shrimp fried rice and chicken wings. The shrimp fried rice was uneatab, the shrimp was undercooked and chicken wings were awful. Upon getting home we werr quite sick to our stomachs. The lady who waited on us was extremely rude. When asked for napkins etc sge would throw them at you. Very bad attitude and lousy service. $30.00 down the drain. Will never ever eat there again.
Lychee is the best option for takeout chinese food in Johnstown. It is very easy to order online and pickup in 15mins. The vegetable lo mein is great. The general tso tofu, sesame tofu and bean curd home style are my favorite dishes to order on their menu. Food is priced well, and service is nice. Highly recommend.
56 Buffet
Worst buffet, I went to. Spent $99 here the food was dry, cold and nasty and when I talked to the restaurant owner he didn’t listen to anything I had to say and walked away and laughed. When they bought the mac & cheese out, it had shredded cheese on top of it and liquid cheese The lo mein has a aftertaste couldn’t even finish the plate
Came here for Xmas dinner. Staff is so pleasant and efficient. Atmosphere is very nice and clean. The food is good, they keep all the buffets clean and stocked. Walnut shrimp is the best! Parking is ample. Very nice place!
Huang Garden Restaurant
Tucked away in the strip mall that is located near the Hays Market in Johnstown is this gem of a find of Chinese restaurant. Huang Garden restaurant came highly recommended by our daughter. So, we decided to give it a try. And we weren't disappointed. The dishes we've tried there so far have been fantastic and delicious! They definitely don't skimp on the meat by throwing-in a bunch of vegetables to mask things. The portion sizes were quite generous. Everything we've had there so far have been fresh and oh so tasty! We liked it so much that we've now been there several times. I highly recommend their sesame chicken, sesame beef, orange chicken, orange beef and Mongolian beef. I am sure everything in their menu is great but above are the dishes we tried so far. The above dishes, except for the Mongolian beef, were fried in very lightly coated batter and fried to absolute perfection! So there wasn't a thick layer of dough masking a thin sliver of meat (some restaurants use this trick to stretch their meat). The Mongolian beef was cooked just right to juicy perfection; seasoned to absolute perfection with just the right amount of sauce, onions and black pepper. Even the red dipping sauce they serve you with fried wonton strips before your meal comes was delicious. Instead of your sugary red-dye sauce, this had a pleasant yet slight hint of fresh ginger. I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant!
Poor quality, no flavor, fried rice is terrible. I have tried the food 2 times and it's flavorless. Sweet and sour chicken is not difficult to make. Very disappointed. Won't be back. I shouldn't have to ask for them to give me sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken and had to pay extra for the sauce. It should come with the sauce if you order sweet and sour chicken. Ridiculous. Do better. Sad that this is the only option in Johnstown.
