Top-tier Szechuan food better than most places in Chinatown. This place is so good that it’s beating out the established Szechuan restaurants in the city. Dishes are authentic, well made, and has a level of fineness and attention to detail that’s usually missing at Chinese restaurants The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. The restaurant looks bright, simple, and clean. Service is fast and attentive. Price is very affordable too. We ordered 4 dishes with respectable portion and it came out to be $67 before tips. You are getting a lot of value for the money. I’m very amazed by this place and will definitely come here on a regular basis. Note: free parking is available at the parking lot of the grocery store next door. So no need to struggle with finding street parking, which is always a huge plus. But please before to go earlier because there will be a wait.

Absolutely incredible experience! This is hands down one of the best Sichuan restaurants I’ve ever been to. Every dish was bursting with flavor, perfectly spicy, beautifully balanced, and authentic to the core. We ordered several dishes, and every single one was amazing. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick and attentive without being rushed. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real, flavorful Chinese food.

We love this place! We were sad when Fuji's closed but this place has been an excellent replacement. Always good cheap food and fast delivery. Portion sizes on the combos are easily good for 2+ meals as well. Don't expect some fancy food but if you want good classic homemade Chinese food for a good price, this is it.

We ordered general tsos and some wonton dumplings. The food doesn't taste homemade, it tastes like just some frozen breaded chicken chunks were used. which is okay. But the chicken and rice had no flavor. What stood out was black pepper in the breading. We used soy sauce and it didn't even taste salty. Just very bland food. The tso sauce is not bad, they said it was spicy but there is no spice whatsoever, it's just sweet. The rice tastes mushy but is not overcooked, I think just unwashed. The wontons were very strange. They were overcooked and very hard. They were supposed to be pork, and when I bit into it I couldn't tell what I was eating. It is incredibly bland, no flavor whatsoever and incredibly greasy. I didn't hate the chicken and rice but I did not like the wonton. Overall I would say it wasnt horrible. My partner felt like the general tso was 6 out of 10, and the wonton 0 out of 10. The most flavorful thing was the sweet and sour sauce. Not bad prices but usually when food is very bland like this it is old, that's my fear. But it could just be absolutely no seasoning. I cannot tell honestly. The front desk person was polite. We may try some other time and see if it's any better and if we do I will update my review.

We got the Prawn and Chive dumplings, Pork Belly Buns, Garlic Three Way Fried Rice, Scallop Prawn Gung Bao, and the Original Sin cocktail. Everything was very tasty. If you cannot do spice the Pork Belly Buns are a great choice. Two of three people in our party are gluten free and there were many options to cater to their allergies. The bartender even took time explain what the restaurants’ bar entailed and let us try a baijiu they have. They also have two clean bathrooms.

our original bday dinner plans didn’t pan out so we went here last minute- we have never been happier!!!! wonderful food, absolutely amazing service and beautiful atmosphere. highly recommend going after the sunsets, the evening lighting is wonderful. we had the Sichuan babyback ribs, hot mala chicken and green beans and all three were fantastic. we also had the “original sin” and “if only i had a sword” for drinks and omg highly highly recommend. i wish we lived closer. well worth the cost!! the two servers that helped us were absolutely wonderful, big thanks to them next time we are in seattle this is the first place we are going to!!!!!

Went to Yu-Mei’s Uptown China Restaurant for the first time. My husband discovered this restaurant by searching “Vegan Chinese” in Seattle, WA on a search engine. We ordered Mongolian Beef (for me), Sesame Tofu (for him), and a side dish of Broccoli with Tangy Garlic Sauce. Super delicious and very fresh tasting. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy! Also, outstanding customer service!!! Highly recommended!!! Love love love it 😍!!!

Valentine’s Dinner at Uptown China Restaurant Had an amazing Valentine’s dinner at Uptown China Restaurant! The ambiance was okay, with ample seating space and an extensive menu. One great thing is that they offer a fixed vegan menu upon request, which was a pleasant surprise. Another plus is their dedicated parking lot behind the restaurant, making it super convenient. For appetizers, we started with the Spicy Dragon Mushrooms—the perfect way to kick off the evening. Even though the dish was deep-fried, the exterior had no signs of oil, making it light yet crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. For the main course, I had the Vegetable Tofu Lo Mein, which was a bit bland and could have used more salt and spice. We also ordered the Ying Yang Prawns, which came with two types of sauces—Hunan and walnut. It was absolutely delicious, and my husband enjoyed it thoroughly! The portion sizes were generous, and overall, the food was tasty. Definitely a spot worth trying, especially if you’re looking for variety, accommodating options, and hassle-free parking!

Hands down one of the best and freshly made Chinese dishes. I’ve ordered a few different things off their menu, each time it was FIRE. I’m a New Yorker so I’m really picky about my Chinese food haha, but they do the job and do it WELL! Every time I place an order over the phone or face to face they’re so pleasant. I always wish them the best in their business!

My nephew loves I mean loves this place he gets the spare ribs extra sauce, with pork fried rice, and cheese fries with spare rib sauce on them. I get the shrimp and broccoli it is to die for. It taste the way Chinese is supposed to or how it did in the 90s. We live in Allentown. We drive all the way to Harrisburg for it. We ordered 5 orders, for the whole house and it only came to $53. I spend more than that ordering two pizzas and a soda. Hands down Emeralds can take my money

Gorgeous and fresh food, cozy dining room, great smells welcome you as soon as you enter the restaurant. The combination fried rice and three delights with three chilies entree were delicious. The restaurant is decorated richly and feels expensive but unfortunately the dining experience doesn’t match that. We dined on a Friday evening and they were extremely short staffed, literally one waitress running the whole dining room (which isn’t small) and the pickup orders (which was also a lot) and one other person bussing the dishes from and to the kitchen that was all. They basically had to run around to make it. The service was still not slow though, just out of breath and rushed. The menu is extensive with over a 100 items on it, it might be overwhelming for some, it comes as a takeout menu printed on thin paper and twice folded. We never received a drink menu, when we asked they said they had only beer, coke and ginger ale available. The vibes make you think they would have a full bar with a cocktail and wine menu 🤷‍♀️ Overall it felt like watching a movie with un-synced subtitles. I would come back here for the wonderful food and not expect anything more than low key vibes, which is fine.

I tried the tofu with sour chili pickle, the sesame tofu, and the green scallion pancake and both were amazing! The flavors and textures were gorgeous, the service attentive and the atmosphere felt welcoming and cozy. The server was especially kind to my 5 year old daughter and went out of their way to make it special which doesn't always happen when you being a rambunctious kid into a restaurant haha I found myself wanting to try a lot more of their menu!

Always delighted to find Teochew restaurants in the US and it’s always an automatic 5 stars. Double Happiness is a real no frills hole-in-the-wall serving authentic food that tastes like home. The menu is written in English, Vietnamese, Thai 🙂‍↕️, and Chinese - love to see it! The real star of the meal for me was the fried garlic oil (wish I snapped a pic)… just perfection, I kept reaching for scoop after scoop… it’s a must-add to every dish… trust.

You’re here because of the known food not the atmosphere. It looks the same for many many years. It’s owned by an old couple, it does take a bit of time for ordering. Including cleaning up tables. We always ordered the usual: radish with fried egg and their egg noodles

I wanted to try their milk bread today, 2/16/25. I'm very disappointed! The bread was dry, and I don't recommend it. Felt like they sold me old bread just to get rid of it even though the lable has an expiration date of 2/20/25. It would be better for their customers to have the date of when it was baked. For $8.99, I expected more.

Hadn't tried out this restaurant yet so gave it a go with a friend. The place looks like an Asian grocery store vibe and the restaurant is in the middle. Service was prompt. Got seeated right away and orders all came out correct. The food portions were very generous for the price. Plates were definitely shareable. I had the pineapple fried rice. It was pretty good. Has a few spots where the sauce was clumpy with the rice. Other than that it was delicious and would recommend it if you like curry flavored fried rice. I've had a few different styles of pineapple fried rice now and this one was a safe middle ground. Nothing unique or special about it but is a good safe choice.

My friends and I came here for a quick lunch! It wasn’t busy at all! My favorite was the spring rolls, love the sauce that came with it! The chicken wings were small but crispy and tasty! My friend had the congee and it was creamy and smooth! I had the noodle soup and the noodles were different than the picture on the menu, it should be flat and wide but I got round and thin noodles instead! The soup was tasty and not too salty at all!

I’ve been coming here consistently for 4-5 years to get their Bun Bo Hue! It’s flavorful, spicy, and rich. The noodles have a great texture and bounce. It’s authentic and warms up your soul. I don’t really like their Banh mi as much though, but the noodle and rice dishes are good for their cheap price!

It’s such a pleasant surprise finding this restaurant. I wasn’t expecting the taste till the stirred cabbage was served! Wow! So flavorful and fresh and tastes so good! ( it literally beat every Chinese restaurant in Atlanta serving this/similar dish! And the noodle soup was great too! Noodle is very chewy and the soup is flavorful with layers.

Everyone was really nice here, very good environment. Food came out really fast. Everything we ordered was great. Dumplings, bao buns, noodles and cucumber salad were awesome.

I've been to the Chinese place in enola and duncannon. Decided I'll try this place to see how good it was but I was totally dissapointed. There was less in the container but sometimes that because the quality is better. Not this time. Sesame chicken sucked general toss sucked. Fried dumplings were burnt. Laughed because I was surprised it was that bad. White rice and pork lo mein were good

A very tasty hidden gem in Harrisburg with good clean Chinese food at good prices. Just could use more decor but I'm not complaining lol

I purchased a plate half super greens and steamed rice with mushroom chicken and beef and broccoli 🥦. The rice was clumpy the greens were not fresh the beef was salty and the mushroom chicken was not fresh either I hope if I go back it's better

It is in a mall food court, but I ask to sample one of the meats and they said they no longer provide samples. I've been to plenty other Panda Express that do allow that. Food was just okay. Servers seemed annoyed to be there. Just okay.
