Chan's
The food is great for those Saturdays we're wanting to take off cooking. For some strange reasons they don't sell half a chicken it's odd š
Best Chinese food in Harrisburg enjoy your meal guys. Yall welcome
New China Express
I got a large shrimp lo mein that was absolutely disgusting. The lo mein was almost black. I thought they used to much sauce but it didn't taste good either. I was highly disappointed. The lobby has table and chairs but you can't sit at them because they are stacked against the wall and by the receptionist area. I have included pictures of my food. I will not be going back there at all.
Although it seems to be under Covid restrictions by the tables being stacked in front of the counter, donāt let this change your mind about patronizing this takeout restaurant. The food was exceptional along with the service provided. We ordered three menu items and were pleasantly surprised. The dishes were cooked to protection as well as being tasty and satisfying. If we are back in this area again, we would not hesitate to order takeout dinner from these folks.

Authentic in every detail! I am impressed with the ingredients they have been able to gather, especially the tea tree mushrooms and Chinese peppers. The Dan Dan noodles were the best and most authentic I have had in several years in the US. Their menu is extensive and filled with classic Chinese dishes that are rare to find outside of China. This restaurant is a hidden gem!
I would have loved if the restaurant opened up properly, it seems it is still under the impact of covid-19, I enjoyed it a lot last time when dine in was available, now i just get to eat the awesome food out of plastic container. The staff is super good and very helpful. The food doesnāt require any convincing, it is authentic and worth every dollar. The menu is priced pretty good. Good updates but still is not open for dine in which is a big bust.
Lanās Wok
Decent customer service atmosphere was ok and small, the food on the other hand was a atrocity, ordered the bourbon chicken, chicken had a weird texture, super dry and looked partially uncooked, the taste was questionable and as result the dish could not be finished, rice was ok and egg roll was dry.
They are a family owned restaurant and we stopped by one night after a chess tournament ended late and they were already closing up, but the owner still let us in and made yummy Chinese food for us when everything else was closed, so for that service they get 5* for going above and beyond. Their dumplings and shrimp lo mein were really well made and delicious. The pork fried rice was decent.
Silver Sea
Rolls and dumplings are delicious, and chicken and rice are tasty, too!
Chicken Chow Mei. Was not what I expected. Basically just onions, with a little cabbage and almost no chicken, no taste. I added a photo of the Chicken Chow Mein they gave me. When called the manager told me Chow Mein is just vegetables.
Emerald Chinese Restaurant
Hands down one of the best and freshly made Chinese dishes. Iāve ordered a few different things off their menu, each time it was FIRE. Iām a New Yorker so Iām really picky about my Chinese food haha, but they do the job and do it WELL! Every time I place an order over the phone or face to face theyāre so pleasant. I always wish them the best in their business!
My nephew loves I mean loves this place he gets the spare ribs extra sauce, with pork fried rice, and cheese fries with spare rib sauce on them. I get the shrimp and broccoli it is to die for. It taste the way Chinese is supposed to or how it did in the 90s. We live in Allentown. We drive all the way to Harrisburg for it. We ordered 5 orders, for the whole house and it only came to $53. I spend more than that ordering two pizzas and a soda. Hands down Emeralds can take my money
China Wok
Place seems so be maintained clean and organized. Cashier was nice and helpful when asked about certain dishes. Cooks were fast even with the amount of orders going in. Now the food was lacking to be honest, i was hoping it would be better due to the reviews. First of i ordered it to be spicy, didnāt even have a but if spice to it. Second the food seemed bland rally laking in flavor other than some sweetness. Overall i would give it a 4/10
The food was great, hot and fresh. Chicken wings cooked to perfection. The pork fried rice is not oily but also not dry. Would definitely recommend this place and will return again.
Golden Star Restaurant
Got hot and sour soup, shrimp rolls, and cheese wontons. Wontons and shrimp rolls were decent, about what you would expect from any Chinese place. Hot and Sour soup was exceptional!!! Their slight twist on it by adding cabbage, carrots, and celery was a first for me, and I loved the crunch and heartiness of the soup. Broth was very very good, also!! As far as the food, those place would get 4.5 stars overall from me. The location cost half a star because it was tough to find parking, and I TRULY felt out of place there. Honestly, some of the other patrons looked at me as if to say āWhat in the world are you doing here???ā But, the food, especially that Hot and Sour soup, was very good!!
Chicken wings with rib tip sauce and cheese fries or pork fried rice is a guilty pleasure
Best Wok Chinese Restaurant
I had take-out here once during covid but this was my first time sitting down for a meal. The food was seasoned very well, the chicken and shrimp were tender, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp, very pleasantly surprised! If you like Thai food their red curry dish is amazing. My wife loved their orange beef also, very flavorful!
The food was incredible and came out fast. Super nice and clean. Pretty cold inside but she gave us a space heater to warm up!
China Wok
I love their Sesame Chicken and and their Cashew Chicken and Rice, and Egg rolls. Delicious every time and they give you a hearty portions. You just have to be sure to have cash on you because that's all they take for payment. Other dishes were just as gpod.
Love the food and did have wait long to get my order and I usually order a lot of food in one order
Magic Wok
I ordered sezchwan chicken, fried wontons and an egg roll. The "sezchwan" was nothing more than bland brown sauce over 90% vegetables and 10% rubbery chicken. The rice was mushy and the wontons were really not great. The egg roll was the only thing I'd say was average at best.
This is what I usually get I believe itās an L14 with jumbo shrimp and I get mine spicy! Thereās is cool I try not to stray too far away from what I know because I donāt wanna be one of the ones that end up eating some sort of rat or something just because I canāt tell what it is. But itās ok I get mine with white rice. Theirs isnāt better than chans. chans flavor is better. && Chans customer service is better!. That lady that works here with the short cut at the front is too damn smart
Good Taste
I've only ever ordered to go, but it's excellent the best take out Chinese in the area in my opinion. The fried scallops and friend krab are wonderful and the pork lo-mein always satisfies. It's a good price point.
Friendly staff, short wait, portions were pretty good for the price.
