New Golden Gate
This place would be much better if they had more lighting at night in the dining area. It's TOO dark. You can't see what you're eating very well. The chairs and tables are wonky or broken. There is menus used to try and keep them level. The carpet at the entrance is rolled and ripped this is a trip hazzard. The parking lot needs cleaned during the times it snows. Please clean before someone slips and falls.
Update: I didn't order extra heat, but I got it. And /man!/ this is sooooo good! I'm fighting off some seasonal allergies, and this dish just hit the spot! I'm thrilled that this place exists and is so close! There are not a lot of good options in this area. Some, but not like dahn tahn. This is like Dahn Tahn! The shrimp egg roll was light and crispy, plenty of sweet, tender shrimp and perfectly cooked cabbage. I wish I had remembered to order the house made mustard. It tastes like it has a little wasabi in it. The shrimp with snow peas came with baby corn and carrot slices and a nice, tasty stock glaze. I'm told you can request some heat if you want it. But this was just perfect base cooking. All of it perfectly cooked, sweet and tender. One note on the fried rice. It's good. But it may not be what you expect. It's not fried. It's just lightly seasoned with no veggies or meat. If you want those, they have veggie fried rice, various meat fried rice, and combo fried rice on the menu. You just have to know how to order. I'll be tossing mine on a piping hot oiled skillet when I heat it up tomorrow. Who goes to sleep looking forward to eating your leftovers next day? Me! At least tonight I am. And the prices and portions! I spent $15 and I'll be enjoying the leftovers for lunch and dinner tomorrow. I don't even think I could shop and cook this cheap. I know I can't do it so well. Sorry Fortune Star! This might be my new go-to. I haven't tried the Hot & Sour Soup yet. And I know your Chow Mein is better. I may still need you for those. We'll have to see.
Golden House Restaurant
i mean its been around forever and people like their food. i personally isn’t the biggest fan of this place. the one man that is in the front can be very freaking rude at times. people come here for the zombies…
The service was trash. This was a after work drinks for a birthday. It was 15 of us and some even brought food. The zombie drinks were nice, but service was sub‐par with a lot of attitude. Last visit.
China Mountain
Spent $53 for the food to be tossed in the trash. Everything tasted old smh! The shrimp fried rice was hard and barely any shrimp. The egg foo young same thing, no shrimp and gravy spilled out in the bag. Ham fried rice barely had ham and the rice was hard. Egg rolls fried to the point you’d lose a tooth. I should’ve just ordered the beef on a stick and called it a day. I’ll be going to China Dragon at Severance from now on!! The quality of their food has gone way down!
I had to change my rating after my last visit. They gave me over cooked plain noodles and called it lo mein noodles there wasn’t even any seasoning on it. It was white and overcooked noodles and a drizzled a little bit of teriyaki sauce on top no vegetables nothing it was disgusting and they charged me nine dollars for that nasty food.
China House II
There food is really good. I stop for lunch all the time. I think its better than the other Chinese place down the street for sure. Foods always flavorful and fresh and hot! I really like there Singapore Mei fun alot! One of the best I've had yet, and I've tried everyone's lol I was super impressed. I also tried there shrimp egg Foo Yong and it was a very light Patty cooked perfectly, and they gravy was real gravy too! The house lo mein was perfect. Sure glad I'm a foodie and give places like this a try. I appreciate good food on the go! And they got it! I'll be trying alot more for sure lol
Mostly delivery and take out but there are a couple tables so you can eat in the restaurant. Food is of reasonably good quality and well prepared. But, not the best Chinese food available but less expensive than the restaurants in the Asian neighborhood of Cleveland. I have been eating here for decades and have consumed hundreds of meals at this restaurant. Overall I do recommend this restaurant for a quick, good value, made to order meal.
Family Lin
Great food, very fast service too.
First time going in and getting takeout and gotta say loved the food, the service and just everything. Got some great food. I thank you for that. Good place to check out and get some amazing food.
