Yeung's House
We have been looking for a Chinese restaurant that uses no MSG and has great food. Well we have found probably the best in the area with great quality and reasonable prices. Called in the order, was advised would be ready in 20 minutes. Got there and our feast was packaged and ready. The Customer Service was great, the place is clean and they follow the Covid rules. The shrimp Mei Fun was packed with large shrimp, tasted really good. I asked for spicy and they did not disappoint. We also got the house special rice, hot and sour soup and added spring rolls. We also ordered hot and spicy combo meal and a tofu Lo Mein combo meal. These come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Everything was top quality ingredients and had that wok taste and char on it. This is a great Chinese restaurant and now our new favorite.
Ordered a qt of Garlic Shrimp. WOW!!!! Flavor, size and portion of shrimp, outstanding. Price that can’t be beat for the quality of the food. I’ve been telling everyone how great my food tasted!
China House
I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 15 years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for the best Chinese takeout in Pittsburgh or the surrounding areas, this place is unmatched! 谢谢朋友们。李小龙会回来的。
This is the best Chinese take out in the area. I am going there for the last 15yrs. Absolutely the same high quality and taste ❤️
Pan Asia Eatery
Very, very good Chinese food! I've been wanting to try out more local Chinese spots, so this seemed to be a great stop. I ordered the sesame chicken (similar to general Tso) and a chicken egg roll. They were both quite tasty! They give you a huge portion for the main dish. And, the side rice that accompanied the chicken was equally large! The quality of the chicken seemed to be quite good. Not too chewy or fatty. It seemed to be white meat but could have just been a high quality dark meat as well. It maintained its crispness even after sitting in the car. Their sauce is delicious and definitely on the sweet side. A little bit of sesame and some broccoli to top it off. I would have preferred a little more broccoli, but that was essentially more only quarrel with this dish. The egg roll is pretty good, but not the best I've had. Was still a little crispy but nearly all cabbage, and I could barely taste the chicken. Portion was a bit smaller than at comparable places. They do give you quite a few different sauces on the side for free (duck, soy, mustard). I enjoyed the soy sauce combination the most since it gave an extra salty pop to the cabbage (somewhat like sauerkraut). Also, can't forget the complementary fortune cookie! All in all, this was very tasty food. The portion sizes are great for the price, and the quality of the meat seems to be quite high. Their sesame sauce is sweet and delicious, but I would have liked more broccoli. Egg roll is okay. Would recommend!
This restaurant serves typical Chinese foods. The interior is spacious and nicely decorated. The employees were polite and timely with their service. Our server accidentally brought out teriyaki beef rather than teriyaki chicken. We enjoyed the taste of our crab rangoons, orange chicken, and kung pao chicken. Ingredients were very fresh, and serving sizes were very large. Prices were very reasonable.
China Palace Wexford
My daughter and I stopped here for an early dinner at her suggestion. Good call! The food was fresh, fast and prepared well. We started with a California Roll that was excellent. WW Shrimp & vegetables for me and chicken Lo-Mein for her. Both were excellent as well. I’m addition, our server was fantastic. I was I had asked for her name. Highly recommended.
***Update Aug 2024, more than a year since last post*** IMPROVED RATING from 3 to 4⭐️s. As a foodie who values authentic cuisines, it should BE CLEAR THAT cooking here, like the vast majority of similar eateries in America, is chinese-style. MOST 😡😡😡😡😡 are unhealthy, greasy, salty or overly sweet, or over fried As such, it is surprisingly pleasant 😎 😎😎😎 to actually find a chinese-style eatery deserving 4⭐️s. TO BE CLEAR, food here is NOT traditional / authentic to any of the regional cuisines of China. It’s an AMERICAN VERSION, which is dismal in the vast majority of eateries in America and the West. The chinese-style menu has changed and has improved over the course of year👏👏👏. There seems to be a more creative “chef speciality” section. 😊Palace Platter Appetizer (good for 2-3): a very good sampling of flavorful American starters. *** throw away that pesky crab rangoon, ask for egg roll instead, AND ask for hot chili oil to lift up flavors*** 😊 Seven Wonders (large serving good for 2): a surprisingly delightful medley of fried chicken fillet and fried shrimp served on top of sautéed beef, scallops and crunchy veggies. Flavorful without the grease. 😊 Pork Egg Roll: Surprisingly very flavorful by itself without the need of a dipping sauce. Pack filling, without the typical greasiness. 😊 Vegetable Delight: a lovely sauté of mixed crunchy vegetables, subtle flavors, silken sauce. 😊 Eggplant Dumplings (good for 2-3): probably the most creative listing. Chinese Eggplant stuffed with shrimps and scallops, lightly breaded and fried, served with tart-lightly sweet brown sauce… 👏👏 to my palate, there’s lively semblance of Shanghainese flavor. ASK for Jasmine Tea: cleanses the palace, stimulates gastric juices.🤩 Service is outstanding 👏👏👏. ++++++
