Tasty Corner Chinese Restaurant
We walked in and were seated right away—no wait, which was a great start. Service throughout the meal was prompt and friendly. Our server was polite and attentive. The food itself was absolutely delicious—fresh and flavorful We felt full and happy. Definitely a place we’d come back to!
Food tastes very delicious and authentic. You can also choose spicy level that suits you the best. Service is very tentative. Best way to eat Chinese food is in the restaurant. Everything comes out quickly with right texture.
Dough Zone Dumpling House Portland
This has been our local go to for the past 3 years since living here on and off from our second home. And we have always been happy with the consistency of the food. As of recent the restaurant does not feel the same in the quality of food and take out service. As I, more times than not, get my food to go. No more condiment station at the register and our food was poorly prepared compared to times pass. The cucumber was not thoroughly cut through making it difficult to eat. That’s the only issue I have. I am still a fan of this location for it’s beautiful view by the river, food still hits the craving and above all, I had the pleasure of speaking with a man by the name of Joe who happens to be from my neck of the woods. He made my recent visit feel like a family reunion and all I can say is his honesty and candor will keep us coming back. We need more people like him in the service industry. It adds a special ingredient you can find in the most expensive dining experience. Whatever he’s being paid can’t be enough. Thank you for always being a reliable source for local dining a rocks through from our home.
A high-end and spacious eatery with cozy river view. Quality service and clearly labeled menu options, making it easy for vegetarians/vegans to order with confidence. I ordered Vegetarian hot & sour noodles and Glass noodles. Hot & sour noodles was Great and Glass noodles were a bit too sticky to bite and swallow, but aromatic. Also ordered both fried and steamed veg dumplings, they were delicious with lots of flavorful. Also don’t miss out on chrysanthemum tea during cold windy days. Would definitely recommend for vegetarian eaters.

I’m posting this a bit late, but I wanted to leave a review to support the restaurant during its temporary closure and in anticipation of its reopening. The interior is stylish and inviting, and they serve authentic Chinese cuisine. The staff were warm, friendly, and very welcoming, which added to the experience. We enjoyed a Tap Beer alongside the following dishes: Beef & Beef Tendon in Chili ($14.99), Sichuan Spicy Fish ($23.99), Sichuan Cold Noodle ($12.99), Shredded Pork with Green Pepper ($16.99), and Steamed Rice ($1.50). Each dish was packed with bold flavors and fragrant herbs, creating a unique and deeply satisfying culinary experience. This isn’t your typical neighborhood Chinese restaurant—it’s authentic Sichuan cuisine that truly stands out. I’d love to come back once they reopen.😊✨
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Every dish we ordered was incredibly delicious, perfectly capturing the authentic flavors of Sichuan cuisine. The spice level was just right, and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The service was also top-notch—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience!
Home Taste
My first Google Review because they don't have Yelp. The owner said she will ask her husband to help make one as I usually write reviews on Yelp. Anyways: great portion and food for the price you pay! She makes it on the spot so it's piping hot! The owner is kind, friendly, and remembers you even though she's busy or has a bunch of customers! She offered free soup for us to try which was very kind. We ordered: 1. Mapo tofu (not too spicy, just a slight kick). The tofu is organic! 2.We also got their shrimp rice noodle. Fried nicely as it's hard to make it at home because it'll either stick or get mushy. She cooked it perfectly! 3. We also got green onion pancake beef roll. That combination there is a MUST TRY! Tender meat with egg inside the amazing green onion pancake. 4. Egg rolls: cooked nicely, no oil on the plate, very crunchy! It is just next to the Farmer's Market area, not hard to find and there are benches for you to sit and enjoy!
Consistently has some of the best food in this food pod. The auntie is very kind and frequently invents new dishes. Plus, she gives you soup while waiting for your order! Curry rice is highly recommended, as are the scallion pancakes.
Tango Crab
This place was a 10/10!! The atmosphere inside is cozy and the place is very clean and spacious. Everyone who works there is so kind and quick with bringing out the food. The food was SOO delicious. Every single dish ordered from the lemon chicken, house fried rice, salt and pepper shrimp, general Tsos chicken and even the seafood boil was so flavorful and fresh. I can’t wait to eat here again
I recently came to try this restaurant, and their new dish called “deep fried soft shell crab” that the waiter recommended to me, was very good, it was even in the shape of a mini crab. I also tried their green beans and chilly wonton. The service was amazing, the waiter was very cheerful and the other waiter always made sure my water was filled. I would definitely want to come back and try more!
Din Tai Fung
After Seattle, this was our first time here in Portland’s Din Tai Fung. As always, loved their signature chilli wontons- we tried the vegan option, the flavor is so addictive. Noodles with sesame sauce was good, less spicy than expected but unique flavor in itself. The fried rice with mushroom and vegetable complemented well the chilli flavors- but it was bland in general and can be ordered as a side and not a main dish in itself. Very good ambience, quick and friendly service - they were very helpful to customize the menu options based on preference, overall a good experience.
Great experience would go again. If you're going for a calm, laid-back atmosphere, don't be surprised. It does get a bit busy and loud, but the food was amazing besides one or two dishes me and my girlfriend didn't like. The service was very quick. We got our food within 15 minutes after ordering, and the dishes came out pretty quickly after another. We ended up getting around 10 dishes, one drink, and a couple extras, we spent about 160$, including tip.
Sichuan Taste
We changed upon this gem enroute to the premium outlet and it was really authentic Chinese cuisine to the max! The portions are super generous and it really warmed our stomachs! Strongly recommended if you love Chinese food!
I stumbled upon this place while visiting Portland from Seattle. We ordered: Sichuan Popcorn Chicken (highly recommended! It wasn’t too salty, and everything was perfect!) ✅✅✅ Pickled Fish Soup (酸菜鱼) (it reminded me of my mom’s cooking—so good! The soup blended perfectly with the fish.) ✅✅✅ Soup Dumplings (小笼包) (the skin was a bit too hard to bite) ❌❌❌ Rice (it was slightly undercooked, in my opinion) 🙅❌❌❌ To-go: Dried Beef (干锅肥牛) (I haven’t tried this one yet but will update soon.) The service was fine, typical of a regular Chinese restaurant. However, we felt a bit awkward when the server mentioned that the tip wasn’t included in the bill and hoped we would leave one. In my culture, that’s considered rude since tipping is optional. We already knew the tip policy from the receipt.
Bing Mi Food Cart
Always a solid snack to get when needing something quick. It's always consistent and tasty. For this snack time, I just got the original with Chinese sausage.
Honestly I don’t recommend this food cart for the Chinese style omelette wrap! The food flavor is authentic, but even the classical one takes $12.5. I waited for more than 30 mins to get my order. And we need to pay tips in advance. What kind of service shall we get😂😂 besides we pick up our order and keep waiting?? My friend asked me how I felt after finally getting the order. And my answer is it doesn’t deserve the queue and wait 🤣🤣
Szechuan Chef
We tried this place for the first time today and loved it! Big parking lot, welcoming staff, and nice menu. I ordered the chili chopped fish and loved it a lot. I really liked the medium chunks of fish and the tiny pieces of green beans. A little spicy but not too much. My husband ordered the hot garlic shrimp and got a much smaller portion than me. I didn't like the flavor of his. It tasted a little sweet and kind of reminded me of hoisin sauce. The hot and sour soup was ok. I wasn't a huge fan of the egg rolls because the inside tasted a little gummy to me. However, I still give 5 stars for my fabulous meal and for the overall experience. I might not get a lunch special next time, and I can't wait to try more things and eat more chili fish!
They have some very traditional Chinese foods. Amazing flavors, and would definitely go back. We really wanted to try the GRILL WHOLE FISH but they went out of fishes.
Xin Ding Dumpling House 鑫鼎轩
Great authentic food! Visited with my Chinese family and we all enjoyed it. The dumplings are great but the best dish was the Dry Pot cauliflowers. Portion sizes are also generous, we ended up taking leftovers to go for dinner. Excellent and friendly service as well. Great, reliable spot for a quick but delicious meal.
We had an amazing experience overall, mostly thanks to the incredible food. Every single dish we ordered was fresh and flavorful. We tried the fried rice, the Chongqing Style Hot Chicken, Pork Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings, Pork Buns, Shrimp Shumai, and the stir-fried eggplant & string beans, and honestly, there wasn’t a single miss on the table. Best of all the portions were big. The Chongqing Style Hot Chicken stood out , crispy, spicy, and full of bold flavors that made it hard to stop eating. The Xiao Long Bao, the pork buns and Shrimp Shumai all had a great texture and tasted super fresh. The stir fried eggplant and string beans was amazing as well. One of the highlights was knowing that the dim sum is all house made, you can really taste the difference in the quality and freshness. That said, the experience wasn’t perfect. The service left something to be desired. It wasn’t terrible, but it could definitely be more attentive and prompt. There were a few times we had to wait longer than expected to get a server’s attention or request something more than once. Also, parking is a bit of a hassle since it’s limited to street parking only. Depending on the time you go, it can be a bit stressful trying to find a spot nearby. Despite those issues, the food alone makes this place worth visiting. I’d absolutely come back again, and next time we hope for a more attentive service experience. Can’t wait to try other things in their menu.
Mandarin House
We came to town for comi con and caught the max to this amazing hidden gem. It was quiet which was perfect for my over stimulated teens and service was wonderful. Food was super tasty and portions were enough that we have lunch for tomorrow. They gave us complimentary chilled watermelon for desert. Everyone left happy.
I've done dine in & take out this place. By far my favorite place to get sweet and sour chicken. The chicken is AMAZING. They quality of the chicken itself is so good and crispy. Technically, it's $18 for the entree but this is AT LEAST two meals. I usually get 3 when I order rice with it. The people are always kind. I've never had to wait when ordering take out and dine in was also quick service and quick to put food out. They were also accommodating to my order of wontons. I also don't get that bloated feeling I get when eating take out from other places, even when this is most of my meals for the weekend.
Kuang's Kitchen
At first glance, I had my doubts, but when I saw the prices, I was blown away. Very affordable, and the portion sizes were far beyond my expectations. Must try their shrimp curry an abundance amount shrimp, not like other restaurants that skimp out on the shrimp. All in all, I will highly recommend this whole in the wall restaurant.
Food was delicious and plenty! Shrimp fried rice is so worth it. And they provide water from the water filter jug (Brita water). They also provided complimentary oolong tea and egg flower soup.
