Bamboo Cafe
I don't get to come here often at all, but wish I could! The owner is so sweet and she remembers me every time. Their cart is at the back of the lot, but it is the best! Very delicious food, and big portions! We always order a little extra and we have a second meal the next day. I personally love the fried rice, both pork and chicken, mushroom chicken meal, the big steamed gyoza, and spring rolls. My family loves the orange chicken, egg flower soup, and much more. Please come visit and support them-you will not be disappointed!
Hands down the best Chinese food cart in Oregon. The greatest 🙌 walnut shrimp and Singapore rice noodles. And Hong Kong rice noodles. Overall menu is superb.
Sichuan City Chinese Restaurant
Four of us went out to dinner in a Friday evening. They had a few other diners in the restaurant. The ambiance is clean and Spartan. The service was fast. We ordered three meals, family style. The shrimp chow mein and beef broccoli were amazing. The shrimp especially was crispy and fried but didn't have heavy breading or anything. The whole experience would have been worth it just for the shrimp The beef broccoli was standard in texture but had a great balance of beef with broccoli. The sauce was strong with ginger and was delicious. The third dish, garlic spare ribs tasted okay and the coating was crisp and light. However, the meat was tough and rubbery. We definitely didn't finish that dish and it was not a good choice. The cost was reasonable for what we ordered and the portions were adequate to feed us all - even without eating the spare ribs. Overall, I'd love to try this restaurant again, just some more dishes.
Food was ok. Lamb was very oily. Pineapple prawns were good. Not many choices for non spicy food. Rice cost extra.

This is our favorite go to authentic Chinese restaurant in Portland. The food is fresh, hot, and so delicious. The owner is very nice and knows us by name. It's nice to find a place in Portland where my family can order in their native tongue (Cantonese) and have a full conversation. Our favorite dishes that we pretty much always get is the salt and pepper fish, sweet and sour pork, and the Happy Family. We've tried many other dishes as well and they were all very good.
Also known as Chinese Delicacy, the menu features a nice selection of Chinese dishes. Not quite sure why there's Korean on the sign.
Chinese Delicacy
We have tried this place twice & both times great experience one dine in & second was take out . Nothing spilled & everything great portions . Will definitely be going back for dine in .
typical of what you'd expect for the restaurant but the food was definitely not what I'd hoped for. I got the kung pao chicken, expected something spicy. Very bland and unappetizing, I didn't ask for any modifications so this is how they normally prepare it. I would not eat here again, Panda Express has more flavor and is cheaper
HK Cafe
12/22/24 Sunday at 11:30 am. It was my first time at HK Cafe. Overall, I'd definitely go again 😊🤩 The wait time for the table depends on how many people are with you. I had a party of 9, so my wait time was a little longer than those who had a party of 2 or 4. I waited 15-20 mins before we were seated. The dim sum food was overall, good! The cost is about the same as other Dim Sum restaurants. The food selections, I would say... they have almost the same to similar items. There's a balloon artist at the restaurant! The balloons are free. However, for his time and efforts, he definitely deserves a tip! He did a great job! My kiddos got a ballon sword and shield and a reindeer ballon hat!🥰 Parking can be challenging if you go late. You may need to park further. Parking is free on the lots. There are other restaurants and stores nearby. Overall, do expect to wait to be seated. Check in with the hostess, and they will call your number. Come with an empty stomach and be ready to eat! 😋🤤🍽
The dimsum and the food is generally good and authentic. The service is poor specifically because of that one person, waiter (Older man) who was serving our meal at the time. We've had take-outs here before but this was our first time for dine-in. It was a Sunday evening, it wasn't very busy. First, I asked what soup was that on the picture, it looks good and I wanted to order it. He kind of yelled at me and said, " don't look at the pictures, just look at the writings". I wanted the one in the picture, but he seemed like he was getting impatient with me, so I just had to guess which one I want. Second, when this waiter was at the counter, so visible from our table, he was picking his nose (not just once but twice, Yikes!). Then we also saw him picking at his teeth! Go to the bathroom, please! Then he came over serving our dinner with Bare hands. Geez. This inappropriate behavior needs to be addressed by his supervisor ASAP. It's too gross and unsanitary to see at a restaurant. It should not be something we expect at somewhat nice restaurant. Now I feel like IF we go back, I'll have to look around first who's going to serve us. It's so gross, and you just can't make that stuff up!
Yan Zi Lou
We bought seafood from a supermarket then came here to have the restaurant chef cooked them. They listed the cooking fees on the wall so there are so many customers bringing their seafood and let the restaurant cooking it. The cooking was perfect. Love all dishes.
This is a solid place to get some authentic Cantonese style food. We ordered a good amount of food to share among the table. Some of the standout dishes to me were the beef chow fun as it had a good charred/smoked flavor on the noodles, the pork rib sizzling pot had really good flavors, roast pork, and the sizzling beef. The veggie dishes were a good balance to the meat dishes (it was sad that they ran out of the seasonal veggies). My friends enjoyed the fish and the egg flower soup. The only dish that was mediocre to them was the calamari.
Ah Fong Kitchen
Crews are very kind and caring for customers. Owner lady is a very helpful and generous. Foods are good. We love sushi dishes. Dragon roll is a little bit spicy but so delicious and tasty. My kids love to eat ramen noodles, I ordered a General Tao Chicken and Lo mein noodles those were great and so yummy.!
I really enjoyed this lovely gem. The hot and sour soup was delightful, as was the rest of the food. Next time I am in Portland, I will have to come here again.
Sushi Yummy & BBQ Noodle House
The food is quite exquisite and well worth the price for its reasonable portions. The environment is clean and the staff is friendly. Would very much recommend eating over here every once in a while.
This restaurant is absolutely outstanding in every aspect! The food was a true delight – each dish showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients and expert culinary craftsmanship. The [specific dish, e.g., grilled steak] was particularly memorable with its perfect seasoning and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Fortune BBQ Noodle House
The food was fantastic!! And the service was great. I love that they give you hot tea first thing if you’re dining in lol. If I’m ever back in Portland, I definitely plan on making it back here!
The noodle soup doesn't come with wonton, so it costs extra to add it. The bowl of noodles itself was a small serving for the cost, and the amount of roasted pork we got in it was also minimal. The broth was seafood-y, I didn't care for it. They provide soy sauce, vinegar, white pepper, and chili oil. We also ordered beef brisket and roast duck with rice, and I also don't think it's worth $17. The duck had decent flavor, but the brisket wasn't flavorful. I don't think we'll actually come back.
Panda Express
Usually it’s decent here but the last few times the steamed rice was old. I went here just now about an hour before close, my food is hardly warm and I got much less than usual. And I found plastic in there too, like the tear part of something a clear packet. Clackamas mall location is better but you have to walk inside. I won’t be back soon
As I was arriving the general manager was doing her end of day walk through, the restaurant was very clean and tho it was busy they were keeping people moving. I was there at dinner, they did very well. I asked to try the new drinks but the woman behind the counter said they don't do tastes, but there was a label that said try a sample🤣 she did great regardless she gave me one for free when I told her. It was a very good experience, I'm glad I stopped instead of going to the mall one. (Which isn't bad either I might add).
Panda Express
My go-to at Panda Express is chow mein, orange chicken for sure. The last entrée is either beef and broccoli or mushroom chicken 😋🤤 Sometimes I do half chow mein and half fried rice 😍 😄 The food is good but could be better.
This is my go-to place. Service is usually fast, food is excellent, especially the Honey Walnut Shrimp and Mushroom Chicken. Almost all the locations I go to are super busy, but the system with the chefs ( to me they are) and servers are very efficient.
