Queen's Kitchen Restaurant
Good food and affordable price I really recommend to this place
Big Trio Wonton Noodle 大三元 - Scarborough
Very large noodle restaurant with comfortable seating. Did not need to wait for a table. Noodles are served quickly and hot. Portion sizes are large at affordable prices. This plaza has lots of restaurants and 2 grocery stores, so it can be difficult to find parking. I will return to this restaurant.
I used to come very often when it was still at the Brimley, Sheppard location. Now it is too far for a casual visit. Still great tasting, lots of tables available, and fast service. I always order Shrimp Wonton Noodles (the flat white rice noodles) with lots of chilli oil (2-3 full scoops). I like it SUPER spicy. Photos added this time. 11 dollars for the shrimp wonton noodles. The before and after I added 3 scoops of chili oil
Farmhouse Private Kitchens 農家樂
A good takeout place if you decided to not doing home cooking. Great combo dinner dishes for takeout at cheap prices. Lots of options to choose from. Food is not heavily MSG loaded and also not too greasy. I shall buy from this store again.
I bought a noodle dish for about $12 (tax included) before our HST tax break. During the tax GST tax break I bought the same dish for the same price. I didn't get a GST tax discount on the price. Interesting. Also, this place NEVER provides a purchase receipt so I have no record of what I bought. I asked for a receipt and they refuse to give one. Maybe CRA should look into this store's accounting practices.
Canton Kitchen 廣東小炒
I used to come often. It was good before. Maybe they change the cook, the food taste pretty bad these 3 times when I get. Maybe they change the cook. Cannot take this anymore. I need to find other place now
Price of food still highest in the food court and elsewhere too. Taste standards have lowered as well. However, their sister restaurant-Canton noodles serves fresh and crispy Fried dough and cheaper than that other shop Happy Congee. The Plain rice rolls for $5.00 is a bit on the high side, not to mention other meat-filled rolls.
Taste of Hong Kong 聚龍茶餐
Excellent price point for big breakfast. I had steak with fried eggs+sausage rice noodle soup. They were huge. Taste is also alright. Just be aware that the food court fill-up fast and it’s difficult to find a seat after 1130am.
Everything was dry, and not fresh. They put a lot of pepper powder to cover the staleness. This place used to be good, but the new owner spoiled the goodwill. Not recommended.
Grandeur Palace 華麗宮大酒樓
Grandeur Palace truly lived up to its name as a grand and elegant venue for a wedding celebration. I had the pleasure of hosting my wedding here along with a traditional tea ceremony, and a reception, and it was spectacular. The venue is adorned with stunning chandeliers and bright lighting that sets the perfect stage for any occasion. The staff at Grandeur Palace were attentive and genuinely invested in making our night a success. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the exceptional service. Manager Franco goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. His accommodating nature made planning our tea ceremony, wedding ceremony, and reception a breeze. Franco was flexible with our requests, assisting us with everything from tablecloth selections to chair colors and backdrops. He even helped us navigate the audiovisual equipment, ensuring that every detail was just right. Now, let’s talk about the food—an exquisite selection of Chinese cuisine that captures the essence of flavor and tradition. The highlight of the night was the Suckling Pig, perfectly crispy skin and tender meat, that left our guests raving about the dish long after. The price range at Grandeur Palace is very reasonable considering the quality of both the food and the experience. Overall, Grandeur Palace is a venue that combines excellent service with delicious food. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in some fantastic Chinese food. It offers not just a meal, but a memorable experience that you won’t soon forget. Highly recommended!
Had our wedding banquet here! The staff were very professional and accommodating with the set up. Decorations and speakers/sound system came included. They helped us set up the drinks and provided ice for us. Throughout the night we kept getting compliments on the food - very tasty, great portions, came in hot and fresh. Everything ran very smoothly and they gave us plenty of time for games and speeches. I had a fun and stress-free reception!
