We visited Starchiva Cuisine quite early, around 4 PM, to avoid the New Year’s Eve crowd. We opted for the set menu, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The flavors were light and well-balanced, perfect for the occasion. The standout dish was the Sautéed deep fried Lobster, which was absolutely delicious, while the Sweet and Sour Squirrel Fish was a hit with its tangy sweetness, especially loved by the kids! For dessert, the red bean soup was smooth and satisfying, though the frozen pre-cut cake was less appealing and only worth a small taste. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, and I’d recommend it for a family gathering.

Not my favourite place.. their changfen sheet was hella thick and too little shrimps. Disappointing. Even congee queen has paper like thin and delicious changfens. And another funny thing is that there prices per dish for dimsums are more expensive than other popular dimsum places. I expected better quality and size. Dimsums had too little ingredients inside. But their Tendon was delicious and some other dishes too. Service was good but they added gratuity themselves… and we were only a group of 4.. not like 6or more ppl. Another disappointment.

The restaurant is known for its spacious private rooms and excellent service, creating a favorable dining experience for guests. Our 10 people went there for lunch, we got a private room. The food is exquisite, with creative plating that makes each dish feel like a work of art. The flavors are also wonderfully fresh and delicious. The service is very attentive and considerate, with staff frequently changing plates and refilling tea. It’s a delightful experience.

Had such a lovely dinner at Zunyan Restaurant. The private rooms are extremely spacious and the service is amazing. All of the dishes were good but my personal favourites were the Geoduck, chicken in chilli oil, and the lobster salad. Oh and you can’t go wrong with steamed crab. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I love hotpot and Shudaxia is one of the best places that offers high quality and fresh All You Can Eat hotpot. The staff are extremely nice and welcoming. We got to try out the Chinese outfit and I even wore my outfit throughout the whole dinner. Lol The decorations are very authentic and beautiful and the seating arrangement makes it suitable for solo dining, couples or groups. They offer a pleasant atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meal and they don’t rush you out of the restaurant. The menu offers great variety of meat, pork, seafood, vegetables and tofu. You can choose the broth and spice level for the soup and you can cook them to your liking at your table. It’s an exciting dining experience.

First time coming to this place. We were welcomed by the inviting decoration. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful Chinese lanterns hanging on the ceiling. They recommended ordering the two flavour soup base. We chose one non-spicy and one mild spicy. You scan the code on the table and order online. Most items are free, expect for a few cost extra. Unlimited drinks with an extra cost per person ($5.99) From time to time, they would come refill the soup, not with water, but the actual soup base itself. You can get your own condiments (free). Overall, it was a nice experience, although seating was bit uncomfortable because they were wooden benches. Would recommend!

We used to eat here 3-4 times a month but the food quality has just gone down hill. The little boy that takes the orders is very disrespectful and the whole place just feels gloomy. Guess we won't be coming back as often.

Underwhelming experience. Food was meh. The beef lo mein noodles were overcooked and the garlic beef dish tasted the same as lo mein. No flavor variation - bland. Also got garlic 🍕 clean chicken and the fried rice was dry. The crab rangoon is sweet cream cheese no crab to be found. The containers are very shallow as well. Paid $46 for the equivalent of 2 meals. I'd happily pay that if the food was great but it's barely average and just not flavorful. The egg roll was the same size as my index finger. I gave 2 stars because while it wasn't great, it was at a very minimum edible. Will definitely choose Shogun or the Korean BBQ joint in the same plaza next time.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at My Wonderful Kitchen, and I can’t say enough about their exceptional service and delicious dim sum. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The dim sum was an absolute highlight—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Each bite was a delight, showcasing a fantastic variety that left us eager to come back for more.To top it all off, we were thrilled to win a ticket for a free dim sum on our next visit! It’s clear that My Wonderful Kitchen values its customers and knows how to keep us coming back. If you’re looking for great food and top-notch service, this place is a must-visit.

Dim sum were nice, i especially like the pig trotters & ginger vinegar, the taste absorbed really well and meat portion was good too, not like other restaurants serving mostly ginger and bones. lobster noodles wasn’t the taste that i expected so i wouldn’t recommend this. Make sure you arrive not too late to line up waiting for a table (prepare for everyone being told 20 mins waiting time but end up it was an hour) and for their recommended items like Baked BBQ Pork Bun Pastry and Salty Egg Yolk Bun, they were all sold out in the afternoon. (quite a lot of items are unavailable on menu too It was pretty short staffed, they missed order some of food from menu, and they didn’t even tell when the items were sold out while putting down the order sheet on our table. dim sum is nice but there’s defo room for improvement on service level

I’m not sure why the rating is not high. Indeed the price is higher and portion is smaller than average Toronto restaurants. But I think the quality and taste justify it. Everything we ordered tasted pretty nice. Smaller portions are also perfect for sampling a few different dishes. Dumplings are a bit disappointing though. This place is busy on a Saturday night but service is not bad.

Fist time there. The restaurant is a bit run down. A paint job and fixing the loose floor boards can go a long way. Very small place, so I don’t think it would cost a lot to improve. Some DIY will do. Food tastes fine. Some dishes on the sweet side. Some were just right. No complaints for a Shanghai person like myself. Price is on the high side. Most Shanghai cuisines are a bit more expensive in Toronto. I can accept that. The men’s washroom is small. This isn’t the issue. The issue is that there is only one toilet area with no door, and no urinals. A little more privacy would be appreciated. Free parking and plenty of spaces. It’s a plus.

If you're looking for a cozy spot with fantastic service, this hidden gem of an Asian restaurant is a must-try! Their phone-in service is impeccable—friendly staff, quick to answer, and always happy to help with any questions about the menu. They also prep orders at lightning speed, making it perfect for a quick, satisfying meal. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, you’ll feel well taken care of. Definitely a local treasure worth checking out!

Got home with my order and it was missing an item. Not wanting to go back out, we just did without it. 20 minutes later the restaurant called and texted. They verified with me that the item was missing and offered to either make a new order that evening or give me a credit. Wow. That's customer service!

The food was old in dry like the had put on the buffet line yesterday! The old Chinese lady was very rude . When I said the food was old . She told me than don’t come back I most definitely won’t STAY AWAY it’s not worth $1 let alone the $15 I paid for it

Worst restaurant I've ever been too. No hyperbole. As reviews said, lady was rude from the start. She yelled at another customer for asking for a soy sauce packet. There were flies in one of the food trays, most of the food had been sitting out and was gross. Buffett was $15, but there wasn't even $10 worth of food available if it wasn't already stale.
