We recently visited this place, and it was quite crowded. The food was decent, offering standard Chinese dishes with nothing particularly outstanding in terms of flavor. The seating was quite cramped due to the crowd. However, the menu had a sufficient variety of items, and the staff provided quality service. Overall, it was an average experience for Chinese cuisine.

Food variety was great. Service by Selina was excellent. Closing time can be extended until 10:30 or 11pm on Fridays / Saturdays. As the closing time was 10pm, the food was not available post to that. Veg and non veg can be placed in different sections to attract more veg only lovers. Desserts and all the ice creams were great 😊

I recently visited Watan Kabob at their Dundas location and had a satisfying dining experience. The portions were impressively huge, offering great taste and excellent value for money. The restaurant was busy during dinner hours, which speaks to its popularity, though the cleaning standards were just okay. Ordering is done over the counter, and once the food is ready, you’ll be notified on a display to pick it up. I tried the chicken dinner, lamb dinner, and paneer, all of which were delicious. The portion sizes are generous—one plate is easily enough for two people. While the staff was just okay, the overall experience was pleasant. I’d definitely recommend Watan Kabob to anyone craving flavorful Afghan cuisine. It’s a great spot for hearty, shareable meals.

This is by far our chosen Afghan Restaurant in Mississauga. We have eaten there many times and we will keep going. The food is delicious, offering a wide variety of Afghan dishes. It has a dine in area but you order and pick up your own food from the counter. They have TVs in different position of the restaurant so you can wait your turn comfortably seated. Totally recommended!

This is a very small space, mainly for take out. If you want to dine in, there are 2 single tables, accommodating 2 people. But generally these small set up do supply good quality food. But this time I am upset with the quality and the freshness of the food. I got Chicken fried rice and Chicken Manchurian. The Manchurian tastes horribly sour and comes with a thick gravy which is not even closer to Manchurian in anyway. It's the worst Manchurian ever, with a soury after taste on your tongue. The fried rice was dry, with hardly few strands of chicken. It also has some white particles attached to it. However when I reached the store they were arrogant in the beginning, then they agreed upon tasting the leftovers and realized that the food tastes extremely bad and the quality was worst. So they decided to replace with some freshly prepared fired rice and a burger. So I appreciate this part of the service.

I will go back 👍🏻 Diamond in the rough. This take-out only Indian / Pakistani resturant is absolutely delicious. If you don’t know its there, you would drive right past. There are some stools to take a window seat just for a quick bite but I would strongly recommend you enjoy these amazing flavours at home. We’ve ordered take-out twice and both times the food was soooo so good. What makes this place truly so special is that the owners are just as good as the food. Definitely check it out if you are in the area and able to grab takeout but don’t expect a sit down restaurant.

My wife and I stumbled across this restaurant and decided to try it out. Parking is simple enough because the restaurant is located inside an office building 🏢. But parking is easy and the restaurant is simple to get to after you park. It is owned and operated by a hard working female owner who is extremely friendly and helpful. This is a local mom and pop business folks and they do deserve our support because the food is homemade and the flavours and textures are satisfying 😃. Man oh man .. the braised beef on rice 🍚 is like a heavenly hardy and filling stew. The textures of the potatoes 🥔 and carrots are wonderful. The beef is delicious 🤤 and it melts in your mouth. This is already my fav dish !!! The spicy shredded chicken was delightful. The chicken tasted perfectly cool and refreshing and then the spicy 🌶️ note kicks in with a nice 👍 flavour. The Dan Dan noodles were enjoyable. The sauce is consistent and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The dish was executed very well ✅. Both the braised beef rice dish and the Dan Dan noodles are paired with an egg drop miso type soup as well. The owner is wonderful and very hard working and she enjoys what she does. I will definitely 💯 be back to try more dishes very soon 😃. Drop in and give them a try and then please 🙏 let us know what your thoughts 💭 are. Happy Eats everyone 😎

I was searching for Chinese food and stumbled upon this restaurant—and I’m so glad I did! The dan dan noodles were absolutely perfect, with just the right balance of spice and flavor. I also tried the ground pork noodle soup, and the broth was rich, comforting, and full of depth. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu next time!

Price is very reasonable. They have lunch special and dim sum. Not a big menu but it’s good enough for variety of different dishes. The place look a little dated. Staff is polite and food is serve quickly and hot!

One of my go-to spots for lunch and comfort is the New Treasure Restaurant. Their food quality is top-notch, the dim sum is one of the best I have had, and I personally think they make the best Hot and Sour soup in Toronto! They have a wide range of lunch specials available every day, and the restaurant is always bustling with people, ensuring that the food is always fresh and delicious. Looking forward to my next visit!

This place is awesome! It’s super cheap and incredibly yummy. I went twice and ordered the vegetarian soup — there’s only one option to choose from, but I love how the spice and numbing levels are customizable. The girls who work there are very friendly, and it’s such a pleasant experience interacting with them. As for the food, I ordered the fungus in spicy sauce both times, and it was absolutely delicious. I also appreciate the variety of vegetarian appetizers available. My partner got a meat soup, and they absolutely loved it. I’ll definitely be coming back for the hot vegetarian soups, though I’d really appreciate more variety in vegetarian soup options.

I came here literally weekly throughout university. The noodles are good, you can eat for under $20, and they're just as spicy as I like them. The staff were always really nice and accommodating to lone diners. It gets really busy in peak hours, but it's usually calmed down by 7.30 or 8, if that matters to you. I'd really reccomend trying it!

food is really great. everything that I ate is tasteful. service is good and staff are friendly. the place itself is very clean. overall experience is great. My husband really like the noodle I took home for me. definitely will recommend with friends and family. they have lunch specials as well.

This place has been around for years, and the food shows it’s stood the test of time. We ordered the cumin-spiced beef ribs — tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoky. The stir-fried green beans were surprisingly crisp and not greasy, and the lamb bone soup was warming and comforting, like a bowl of homemade goodness. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the location is convenient, if you’re in Chinatown.

Came here for dumplings and malatang soup, and they did not disappoint. They've changed the name and the sign, so it was a bit confusing heading in. The dumplings were decent, and I had a large selection of veggies to choose from for the soup. There is of course every other item you'd want to put into a hotspot, but I was happy with my vegetarian selection. I would definitely come back.

Such a great find! You can pick your soup base and all your ingredients and they'll cook it for you. Loved the herbal pork belly & chicken broth. They also have a ton of other food options (savoury pancakes, dumplings ofc etc.). Very reasonable price and delicious!

House of Gourmet is a great spot for delicious Chinese food. The taste and quality of the food were excellent, and everything was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend trying the BBQ ribs, which were tender and flavorful, the soup, which was rich and comforting, and the beef with vegetables, which was fresh and well-seasoned. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a nice place to dine in. The waitresses were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. However, the washroom wasn’t in the best condition, which was a downside. Overall, if you’re looking for great food and good service, House of Gourmet is definitely worth a visit!

I’m from Asia so I have relatively high expectations when it comes to Chinese food haha hence the rating. Would probably find a better spot. But don’t get me wrong, the food is decent and does the job if you’re craving Chinese food. Decent serving sizes — great taste and flavor. Just had better that’s all. Service is nothing great, typical Chinese restaurant service. Atmosphere is what is expected of a Chinese restaurant. Nothing great. Just decent. Would go back if/ when convenient or with friends :)

Visited Wok Theory 新天虹 in Toronto’s Chinatown, and it’s officially my go-to spot for authentic Cantonese food! The environment is clean, spacious, and perfect for family gatherings or even business meals. Must-tries: 🦀 Steamed Garlic Vancouver Crab in Lotus Leaf Rice – The crab is fresh, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with the rice steamed in lotus leaf. Every bite screams umami. 🍲 Canton style chicken hotpot – A winter essential! The broth is rich and comforting, with just the right amount of peppery kick. The meat is tender, and the side of handmade beef balls is a delightful bonus. 🦐 Mango Shrimp Balls & Grapefruit Shrimp Balls – Perfect for those who love fruity, refreshing flavors. The mango version was my favorite! 🍳 Seafood Egg Tofu – Silky tofu combined with fresh seafood and a flavorful broth. A must for tofu lovers. 🥧 Salted Egg Yolk Bun – Soft buns with molten salted egg yolk filling—perfectly balanced sweet and savory. The best part? It’s super affordable! Two people can easily share a soup and a main for $20–30 per person. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch Cantonese cuisine in Toronto. 📍 Address: 530 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M5T 1H3

They serve some good dim sum here. Some items are better than others. Prices are okay. Portions are okay for the price. Can be busy. Seating is tight. Suggest you reserve for weekends. Shared tables are an option too. Free WiFi. No credit card surcharge. One can get a VIP card for discounts. Clean facility. Clean washrooms. Friendly staff who can speak English Cantonese and Mandarin. The kitchen is fairly quick. Floors are very slippery when wet.

I would agree with some reviews that it is indeed authentic chinese cuisine, looks yummy But my taste buds beg to disagree.. In short the bbq duck and pork bbq doesn’t taste good. The noodle soup so plain. Even my 100% chinese boyfriend said he doesn’t like it. Thanks to the free tea but the container is so rusty and looks unhygienic didn’t have the picture though.

Nov2024 Authentic Chinese food if you ever have a craving for it. This no frills eatery is a good place to have your bbq fix and the rice topped meals are also popular. Menu is extensive and covers most basic dishes. Service is simple and efficient with counter payments before you leave. Layout is basic but not comfortable for disabled esp the basement toitet with narrow stairs. Ideal for quick bites and small groups.

Really glad that I found this place. It’s a bit hidden, up a flight of stairs on Dundas St. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was able to get seated pretty quickly - beside the windows too. It’s a nice interior - feels bright and airy and they have some music playing that my friend from HK said reminded him of home. The staff are super welcoming and attentive throughout. The food portions are pretty generous and reasonably priced. They’re tasty and definitely filling. Would come back to try their other dishes, and recommend others to try it when they are in the area.

Chinese comfort food sums it all up. Staff really friendly, helpful, and attentive. Very lengthy menu. They sat me near the front of the restaurant where it was somewhat cold. Bring a sweater. I had the stewed beef brisket with radish. Just like mom used to make!
